Where is the saved su (backup of root by OTA rootkeeper) ? - Asus Transformer TF700

Today i have updated to .30 firmware. Before that update i have used Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper to save my root and su. Now i run Voodoo but there is no option to restore the root and status are :
- superuser app installed : yes
- device rooted : no
- root permission granted : no
- /system support root protection : yes
- protected su copy available : no
The last status is upsating me as it seems i have lost my root backup.
What do you think of that and how to restore my root ? Thanks for your help

Just got a Tf300, should I update?

I just got a tf300 and it keeps telling me to do the update. Should I take the update or would this make it harder to flash etc?

that depends.
if you only want to root it but keep stock firmware and recovery, you should do it now before updating. as long as you are on version .17 you can use sparky root to root, OTA root keeper to backup root, update, use OTA root keeper to restore Root and enjoy.
if you want to Flash ROM's and stuff, you can do whatever you like. you will have to unlock the bootloader and as far as i can tell, that is supposed to work on any software version as long as it is ICS. unlock, flash recovery, flash your ROM of choice.

So if I want to flash stuff it won't matter? Most ROMs will come rooted, so then do the update?

You can update and still root on the latest firmware. I got mine and updated out of the box and was able to root it easily. I don't know why someone is saying you need to be on .17

Ok so there's no way to do it without unlocking the bootloader using the asus utility?

Even if you update to .30, you could always root it via Debugfs method.

The only thing you can do without unlocking the bootloader is rooting it, nothing else.

I also tried restore on the settings menu and it takes also longer than 1 min.
Help please!
Can someone please help me?

And i think i have still root on my tablet.
I installed titanium backup and it didnt gave me an error this means i still got root right?

You may have lost part of it. Test with root checker.

Checked it with a root app checker and it said that my tablet fully rooted.

The reboot was probably due to a root app not optimized for the new kernel. For example I found that ezoverclock causes boot loops, obviously it was created with previous kernel version in mind. So if you had ezoverclock don't reinstall until it gets updated.

If a basic overclocker like ez was causing this, you might want to avoid them for now, just an opinion.

Ok i tried an other one that is compaitable but you cant overclock to 1.5 it can only be 1.3.

I can't remember how it was with my prime. If i root, can i still get otas? Can't remember if it's root or unlocking that disabled otas. Thanks
You can root and still get ota. Only unlock breaks ota.

I did the same...root went away after update.
Re-rooted hours after .30 amazingly I even remembered how to do it without rereading!
At my age that's quite a feat!!!

Why is root so hard to achieve?

I am on my second day with my TF300T. It's unlocked with TWRP. I d/l the root file from the forum. Wiped cache and Dev cache but still no root. What exactly am I missing here guys?

Alternatively there is a superuser zip file available in a rooting guide in the general section that you can simply flash and get root. After the flash I usually install supersu on top and use that for app root access.
