[Q] Can't reboot back to system after installed DoomKernel - General Questions and Answers

After installing DoomLord on my Xperia S, I found that my phone start to stuck on the DoomKernel logo while booting up, I pressed on the volume up btn while the blue light n the white light bar on my phone is lighting. Then I went into recovery mode, I tried to install zip from internal storage, after installed the zips, I clicked on Reboot options \ device/system, but then I can't return back to my android system any more, it just keep on booting into DoomKernel. I need to flash Xperia S LT26i Official elf ROM on Flashtool before I can be able to return to my system, but than I can't never ever install any zip including custom ROM n scripts...therefore plz plz can anybody out there help...
Big thanks.

Did you replace the boot.img in the zip file with the fxp 151 boot.img as well? If not, you have again unknowingly flashed corrupted boot.img.
Just fastboot 151 boot.img again
For stock ROM enter flashmode, download ftf, flash with flashtool.

why you didn't mention it first time ???
and this time my phone is not blinking a single light so i can't boot my phone into flashmode.. so what to do now ???
If you looked through the fxp thread, just the last couple of pages, you would have figured it out. How was I to know you just saw instructions in first post and decided to flash rom?
Are you pressing power + volume down and holding them when phone is switched off? Green led should blink

I too have noticed the issues with this rom and am now having difficulties getting flashtool to flash my phone back to stock rom. I am planning some minor tweaks to stock once i get it back, any ideas on why flashtool is sticking at 0% and wont flash my phone?
FYI I have left it for hours and it still stuck at 0% so its not that Im not giving it chance, also i have tried 2 separate USB ports and 2 PC's other than this one so i think its something phone based not PC based...
I sort out my problem myself.. i flash new gapps and restart my phone twice and now everything is better than OK.

[Q] Xperia U bootloop help

Hi
I am in a pretty messed up situation, since am noob i cant post directly to the development forum.
1. I had installed stock ICS .54 using PC companion
2. I installed CWM recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1948455
3. Installed Vision ROM v4
Everything was working fine till this point, after that I made a blunder. I wanted to try GB and downloaded GB-ROCKS rom from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2139840
4. I booted into CWM recovery and flashed the GB-ROCKS rom (yea, i did not go back to stock GB kernel :-/ )
5. Booted GB-ROCKS but it was showing problems so I again went to CWM recovery mode and flashed Vision ROM v4 again
6. Now, I got bootloop, its stuck at XPERIA logo
How to get out of this?
I tried the following
1. I have downloaded the stock ICS ftf and Flashtool (Bin4ry), tried going to flashmode by following steps mentioned in http://xperiadev.wordpress.com/guidelines-xperia/flashtool-fastboot/
The problem is, phone logins always to CWM recovery mode, and from my PC flashing is stuck at the pop-up window saying "unplug USB, power off, hold volume down key and connect USB". No progress.
Please help me fix this
was able to boot into flash mode and flash the stock kernel as given from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2032226
I flashed ICS 6.1.1.B.1.10 ftf
but now, power up SONY logo comes up and then restarts.
CWM recovery is present even now, I tried installing from zip 'Vision ROM' again but did not help, it is still stuck at 'SONY' logo reboot
Any idea why this is happening?

Xperia Tipo ss is dead, white screen

Phone model: Sony Xperia Tipo ST21a
CM version:FXP217-CM10
CM Download url:http://d01.unr.li/dl/127ddadae799c/FXP217-cm-10-20130427-UNOFFICIAL-tapioca_ss.zip
Dear friends i have flashed the FXP217 to my device and i wiped data and dalvik and partition before and after instalation
after rebooting my device i was shocked , white screen i was waiting and trying to get into boot but still white even after pink led
to get to the boot it give me blue led but still white screen, please any help.... fastboot not work too
if i let the device stay on white screen with green led
it's not dead, dead is when it won't even vibrate when you power it on.Remove battery, put it back after 5 seconds, and flash a new firmware with Flashtool. And when you install CM this time, DON'T WIPE anything after installing CM.
It's merely soft-bricked.
I suggest you to try to reflash CM10, you might want to flash 216 check if that one works.
Wipe your stuff BEFORE flashing the ROM itself.
+ Have you flashed the boot.img correctly?
Regard, Drago

CM10 via Flashtool???
as far as i know to install CM10 :
1. flash boot.img ( taken from CM10 zip file )
2. enter CWM on the device
3. clear cache,dalvik
4. install CM10 zip file
5. fix permissions
6. reboot device
like nughroz said, you cannot use flashtool to install CM10. Use his steps if you need CM10 anyways, else if you want to revert back to Xperia stock, then
1. Download the latest Miro firmware
2. shutdown mobile, disconnect from PC.
3. hold Vol- button and reconnect to PC, geen LED should be lit
4. flash the new Miro firmware through flashtool
Yes, before using CM10, you should flash img.boot file that available in the CM10 packages. Extract it, flash img.boot, then flash the rom. If you wanna back to ICS, then flash the stock firmware. And the most important thing before installing CM10, you SHOULD unlock your bootloader. Correct me if i wrong :highfive:

My Xperia M2 doesn't boot to recovery mode

I unlocked the bootloader using the instructions from the Sony developer site. It worked, and then I flashed the recovery software using the flash tool, Emma, but when I press the buttons to boot in recovery mode, instead of this, my OS resets, like factory reset, or it doesn't boot, just vibrates. I don't know what to do. I want to try cyanogenmod and I want to flash it, but without recovery I can't, and it's possible to find on the Sony site the stock rom in case I want to come back to the stock OS? And something else. After the reset, the OS looks different. I have features that I didn't have before

You have to upgrade your bootloader via Emma and flash the recovery.img via fastboot.
Thank you. I flashed a TWRP recovery and it worked.

No notification led and illumination bar blinking after rebooting device. I tried combination of power button + volume up or power button + volume down. Used Titanium backup to reboot into recovery. Ran adb command to reboot into recovery all failed.
