[Q] att one x multitasking? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I keep hearing that AT&T's version of the One X doesn't have true multitasking. Is this true? If so, do custom roms fix that or is it still a problem?

Kernel?

Just wondering if it would be possible to use a HTC One X kernal on the S4 One S?
Just curious considering that both phones have the same chip and gpu.

No, unless you want to brick your phone. Even though these phoes use the same board, they still have quite a few hardware differences.

Do you have the att version or international version. I curious Becuase its a international case and your sig says one X instead of one xl

Just be careful most everything you find online is for the quad core version and if you didn't know they look the same in pics but are completely different inside. Plus not identical on the outside also I think the dual core is slight longer physically. HTC did a bad job naming these devices so similarly and making them all look so similar it has bricked many many phones since the roms are not compatible

This is especially important for battery cases as I believe the pogo pins are in slightly different places.
I'm on a dual core at&t HTC One X, I made sure I posted in the right area.... My phone is "Rogers" I believe

Question whether I have one x or one xl

I bought my HTC One X from Skizmcniz and was told I have an HTC one xl.... I'm confused because I was told the xl in the international, my phone is AT&T branded at the top of the screen and has a dual-core processor... Maybe someone can help me? I'm just confused lol.... And don't base my phone on my signature, its a custom Sig

You are in the correct forum you have the xl with the dual core not the x with the quad core. Stick to this forum like you have been for the past week and you will be fine. I've never even went to the htc one x forum one time since getting my phone there's just no point getting excited about things that brick our phones just because htc names everything f'd up

The AT&T branded One X is really a One XL. The L signifies LTE. This is further confirmed by the fact that it is dual core. The international One X is a quad core tegra 3. The One XL is a dual core S4 that's probably just as fast as the quad core tegra 3.

And you expect to get help with that attitude? If you have been here since 2006 you should know how to check your phone model. Even my mom can do that, and she doesn't even know how to send picture messages

just see what it says in the bootloader since you have been in here since 2006 you know how to get into your bootloader
Easy way to tell. Look right under earpiece. Does it say AT&T? One X. Just the globe? One X+.

AT&T One X, and One XL, are they all the same?

Hi all,
as the title mentioned, AT&T One X, and HTC One XL in any other country that are using the snapdragon S4, are they all exactly the same including the antenna/radio and LTE frequency stuffs. Recently My country started offering One XL and the price is very good so I was thinking if it's all the same and all the kernal/rom here are compatible with the model that my country is offering, then I'll go a head and buy it, since my other choice for my budget was SIII Mini, which is rather underpowered compared to this phone
second concern would be that, If i happen to flash any rom here, will that screw up the driver for my radio frequency and cause my phone to not being able to connect to any of my local telco at all, assuming i am not touching the radio firmware at all.
again, thanks and apologize if this is a repeated thread.
Pretty much and also, ib4tm..

ok, thanks, I'll report this thread and ask them to move it to Q&A.
however I thought some different region uses different LTE frequency for this phone, or those sites are just showing me wrong information. As far as I know, my country uses 2600hz as main and 1800hz as backup, and from GSMArena, this phone supports exactly this 2 frequency only, and that caused me to have some confusions
Moved to Q&A
There's a 16gb model and 32gb model. The displays are different on some models too.
