AT&T One X, and One XL, are they all the same? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hi all,
as the title mentioned, AT&T One X, and HTC One XL in any other country that are using the snapdragon S4, are they all exactly the same including the antenna/radio and LTE frequency stuffs. Recently My country started offering One XL and the price is very good so I was thinking if it's all the same and all the kernal/rom here are compatible with the model that my country is offering, then I'll go a head and buy it, since my other choice for my budget was SIII Mini, which is rather underpowered compared to this phone
second concern would be that, If i happen to flash any rom here, will that screw up the driver for my radio frequency and cause my phone to not being able to connect to any of my local telco at all, assuming i am not touching the radio firmware at all.
again, thanks and apologize if this is a repeated thread.

Pretty much and also, ib4tm..

ok, thanks, I'll report this thread and ask them to move it to Q&A.
however I thought some different region uses different LTE frequency for this phone, or those sites are just showing me wrong information. As far as I know, my country uses 2600hz as main and 1800hz as backup, and from GSMArena, this phone supports exactly this 2 frequency only, and that caused me to have some confusions

Moved to Q&A

There's a 16gb model and 32gb model. The displays are different on some models too.

You thought the screen issue was bad on that phone, the HOS has two different processors! You should be OK in the US, but make sure you look into how to tell the S3 vs S4 processor from the outside of the box.
Yea, make sure you get the S4 processor. It is much better. To find out for sure; S4 = 1.5ghz and S3 = 1.7ghz. Trust us, S4 is better. One con about this device, the user only has ~10gb usable storage for music/pictures. Otherwise, great device.
EDIT: Most if not all US devices ship with S4, but be careful any ways.
Thank you for your reply. I saw threads with s3/s4 processors and that T-Mo USA provides only s4 (as far as reports go). I was not able to find any other issues reported in large numbers.. Thanks again!

Uk gettin xl

Hey one xl guys so the uk will be getting the one xl on the everything everywhere network. However I have a question, will it be marketed in a different name or still one x? I may buy one for the 4g speeds and currently have a T3 one x. The main reason for asking this is will cases be made for one phone but fit 2 handsets if you get what I mean. Hopefully people who live in regions where there are both will be able to answer

Do we know what the specs are? Is it a bumped up One X + with the supposed tegra 3 processor with LTE? Or is it the S4 chip we have here in the states? I know the cases are slightly different as well and I'm curious as well.

I believe it will most likely be the same as the One XL available in the US with the S4 chip, this is the case due to Everything Everywhere having already announcing that they will be carrying the One XL. If it were to be the One X+ , I feel they would have waited for HTC to announcr the device before carrying it.

There is a possibility that a quad core lte version may come, as this device is said to be coming to Australia, however it'll be more likely that it'll be the S4 version that is currently in the US.

The problem isn't finding cases for the One XL, but hes asking if the One X cases fit the XL. Generally, they do fit. However, if it is a particularly tight case, you may be able to fit it on if it stretches, but good luck taking it off. I'm currently using an Incipio sylicrilic on my One XL, which is made for the One X, but fits both models.

Do you have the att version or international version. I curious Becuase its a international case and your sig says one X instead of one xl
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
Just be careful most everything you find online is for the quad core version and if you didn't know they look the same in pics but are completely different inside. Plus not identical on the outside also I think the dual core is slight longer physically. HTC did a bad job naming these devices so similarly and making them all look so similar it has bricked many many phones since the roms are not compatible
Sent from my HTC One XL
This is especially important for battery cases as I believe the pogo pins are in slightly different places.

Question whether I have one x or one xl

I bought my HTC One X from Skizmcniz and was told I have an HTC one xl.... I'm confused because I was told the xl in the international, my phone is AT&T branded at the top of the screen and has a dual-core processor... Maybe someone can help me? I'm just confused lol.... And don't base my phone on my signature, its a custom Sig

You are in the correct forum you have the xl with the dual core not the x with the quad core. Stick to this forum like you have been for the past week and you will be fine. I've never even went to the htc one x forum one time since getting my phone there's just no point getting excited about things that brick our phones just because htc names everything f'd up

The AT&T branded One X is really a One XL. The L signifies LTE. This is further confirmed by the fact that it is dual core. The international One X is a quad core tegra 3. The One XL is a dual core S4 that's probably just as fast as the quad core tegra 3.

AT&T HTC One X no serial on back

I bought a used but in MINT condition HTC One X, and noticed that it doesnt have the serial numbers on the back as other... why is that? It is a One X because it has all the software, and the AT&T logo in the front underneath the glass(ugh).
Does anyone else have one like this? It does have the HTC logo embedded the FCC Logo, the Beats Logo, but that weird information in gray that others do.

Maybe it was a test model or review model or something? who knows. All the info should be in the bootloader.

I have an AT&T version, purchased about a week after the phone's release. The back doesn't have a serial number. The back has the the Beats logo, of course the HTC logo, and in gray (almost impossible to read in my office lighting):
FCC symbol
Do not throw in garbage symbol
Model #
FCC ID
[email protected]
SKU
PN
Made in Taiwan
It had a sticker on it originally, with the IMEI, and I believe SN. But I took that off almost immediately.
Serial number is in the about section where you would go to check for update, also in bootloader

Wait, the x+ is worst than the one x? That sounds funny. Kind of line iPhone 4 better than the 4s (sorry for all the iPhone comparisons, coming from a bunch of apple products)
Anywho, with the right set up, it could be one of the best phones. But like everyone else says, look in settings > about phone. Also I believe it is in the boot loader. But I still have the sticker, but I have an otter box case

Depends on what you value in a mobile device. If battery life and effeciency is important, then it is the one XL all the way.

Well that should be any mobile user. But I could be wrong. It just seems weird to put out a device when it sucks. To me it seems the only reason was to market jelly bean on an HTC phone on AT&T.
