[Q] LTE icon for CM10/Liquid rom??? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Hello,
I'm enjoying the CM10 liquid rom, but all of the themes I have found don't change the signal icon to say LTE, it just says 4G. I know its not a big deal, but just wondering where I can find some.
I came from Seans rom SKYICS and I liked how I could just flash a zip and it would change the battery icon and signal icons. Is there anywhere with the same types of zips for Liquid/CM10?
Thanks

4G is LTE on AOSP. HSPA+ shows as H+.

Did you read my post? I said I know 4G is LTE, but is there a way to change the icon so it shows LTE instead of 4G. Also changing battery icons. Without having to go try and find a theme.

Sorry I tried to help. Your post read like all the other ones that don't know that "4G" is LTE in AOSP ROMs. But, yeah, whatever.
Also, no.

whats the theme that shows LTE icon instead of 4G on status bar?

Touchwiz
I think you need Touchwiz to see that icon.

You could always just change it yourself in the SystemUI. That's what I do with em when I don't like the looks.

[REQUEST] 4G icon to replace CM7 "H" Icon

I'd like to request a 4G icon to replace the H icon in CM7. I've seen it for the Mytouch 4G but the theme won't flash.
Any help on this would be greatly appriciated.
Why? it's not 4g anyways.it's "enhanced 3g". if you want 4g, switch carriers.

No carrier has true 4G. Hspa+ is working just as good as wimax, no better, and lte hasn't proven to be any faster.
All carriers are lying about 4G.

LOL the op just wants the damn icon not to be told what the speeds are and aren't.
To the op : I'm not sure completely how to do it but I think u can just download a rom open up the framework and swap the icons

I'm not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure if you make it so it uses 4G instead of H it'll display 4G when you are connected to 3G. It's just the way CM7 works since they are HSPA and HSPA+. My theme has separate 3g, H and 4G icons, but the phone always uses H no matter if I'm connected to 3G or HSPA+ (At least I can't remember ever seeing a 3G icon). But if you want to, the png files are in the SystemUI.apk under /res/drawable-hdpi/, and you can rename and drag & drop the png files no problem. No resigning or anything required since it's a system app.

Yea 4G and 3G are the same on Tmobile. That's why on stock you go from 2G to 4G. We don't even have 4G in my area even though it says its connected to 4G.
Kinda silly if you ask me but for this to work, you would basically replace the "H" icon with a "4G" icon.
Anyone happen to have the images handy? or do I need to go digging??

can i change on eaglesblood
okay so i have eaglesblood 2.7 (based off of cyanogen mod) and i have the 4g sign. i want to change it to the H so when i apply themes it doesnt mess up the status bar. i tried using the OUTkitchen and flashed it. still has the white and green 4g icon. i have used ninja morph and changed the icons myself and still they end up as the 4g. i want to know if there is anyway i can change it, or make cyanogen think im running h or 3g. because the h icon is in the system framework and in the system UI.apk

Might want to look in a more recent thread. The png you want is located in the SystemUI.apk We talked about changing it to the 4g icon in this thread, so you can just reverse the process.

My inspire won't get 4g connection.

My brother and I both have the same phone, but his will get 4g connection and mine won't. I installed the revolution hd Rom, but I don't see why that would be a problem. Please help.

This is a lie. You can make the icons WHATEVER you want them to be in custom ROMs. I regularly change them for other users, make 3G+ icons, 4G icons, H icons, H+ icons and associate them with whatever network they want them to be. Different chefs will change the network icon to their liking. DHD imported ROMs don't use the H+ icon unless the chef put it in manually. In the stock ROM, it shows an H+ icon for 3G, HSDPA (3.5G), and HSPA+ ("4G"). To see what network you're actually on, go to Settings, About Phone, Network. Unfortunately the Inspire never actually reports being on HSPA+ like other ATT "4G" devices, so whether it's actually connecting to the "4G" network or not, who knows?

I wasn't calling you a liar. Just responding to your post. i could have chosen better wording. I thought you were calling previous posters liars, I reread it and saw you were talking about the icons..my fault. Still, different roms built from different bases will have different icons for network indicators - can't rely on the icon. Sorry again pal, no harm meant

If you look at this link: http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB116698#fbid=JMtdklWC0GV It shows that the infuse should show 4G in the notification icon instead of H+. Does anyones infuse actually display 4G instead of H+ on a stock rom

On the stock ROM - yes, I'm fairly certain it did, even when in an area that clearly does not have HSPA+ service.
I haven't run stock in months so I can't be sure.

[Q] ATT Infuse on Rogers, need 4g modem/rom

Hi All,
I have an ATT infuse 4G, just arrived last night.
Which modem do I need to get the 3g/4g working on Roger's?
Hopefully something that I can flash with CWM.
I just finished rooting, unlocking and installing CWM recovery.
I now have a "I997RUXKG3" for a baseband, but it is still not getting any data.
Need also a good rom that will work with this setup.
Thanks
Heeter
Bump.
Could really use some advice.
Thanks all.

Try as many out as you can and see what works best!
As long as rogers supports the exact same 3g radio bands as ATT then it should pick it up automatically. If they use different ones then no matter what you do it won't connect to anything other then edge
I'm on rogers and have no problems with any of at&t modems. Just try them all and see which works best for you. I'm currently using UVKJ6. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1353209
hope this helps

Hey thanks guys,
I don't have any data (3G, E, H, nothing) So I am gonna try Spider posted.
Will report back in a bit.
Hmmm, you mentioned that all modems should work, maybe there is a setting that I am missing somewhere, 'cause I got no data whatsoever.
BTW, Spidey, Which ROM are you using? And do you have a download link for it?
Thanks
Heeter
Hey I'm using Darky Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1354321
After flashing make sure everything is running and then flash InfusionGB-CoreA2 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1212485
Then flash this tweak Universal Adrenaline Shot v13.zip from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236779
Before doing any of this try downloading tweakker https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tweakker&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS50d2Vha2tlciJd from market it fixs apn for specific carrier.
Try inputting the Rogers APN look for a search on the forums to find it, it should activate your data.
Thanks for the heads up Spider, Sarius.
Will post back when I check that out.
Heeter
Hi Guys,
Update:
I flashed that modem that spider provided, and as well I used tweakker.
Now I have a "H+" sign on top,
Is that good?

I don't know if H+ is good for my area. Don't know if 4G has even made it to my area (Edmonton). I know rogers has been talking about something called LTE in my area.
My Nexus S always says 3G, but it is 3G only, not a 4G device.

h+ is the 4g in infuse 4g but its more like fauxG, really its just marketing, the infuse and many other 4g phones work on the 3g network, lte is the true 4th Gen network and the infuse doesn't support it.
the att kernel seems to get faster data because of tcp buffer changes ( if I got that mixed up with something else someone correct me) but the recent custom kernels have the changes and are all built on Rogers sources. the rom shouldn't matter but you need to use the Rogers apn settings. the modems should all work including modems from the sgs4g
weather you see h+ or 4g depends on the rom. it can be changed in the theme. they indicate exactly the same thing.

in need of AT&T data traffic icons

Can anyone get me the AT&T data traffic icons? I miss them and I am on CM10, I origanally had those dumb "H" icons, then I went to the verizon data icons, but I like the AT&T ones better. I found the 4G LTE ones on google, but I need all of them 3G, 2G, etc.

Found some better ones, I'm still playing with them a bit and sorting the names out, i pulled them from an ics rom and some of the names are different. I'm trying to figure out what cm10 used to call each specific data line so i can match them up properly. Here's what the icons i found look like.
