[Q] can i backup apps+data from DHD and restore to Sensation XE?

Hi,
Basically as the title says..
Can i do this using mybackup pro?
Source phone:
HTC Desire HD
Radio S-off + ENG HBoot
ROM: RCMix3D Runny 4.0
Destination:
HTC Sensation XE
Alpharev ship S-OFF CID11111111
ROM: RCMix3D runny 7.1 (not the ICS version)
...its for my wife, and if possible.. She wants to keep apps and data when she moves over.
Help confirming this ability would be much appreciated.. ^_^

Yes u can using my backup pro but u need root access on the sensation of course
Or hopefully android market will restore ur apps automatically but I'm not sure about data

Yes, both devices (DHD & Sensation XE) have S-OFF, ENG HBOOT & ROOT access due to custom roms.
I'm going to give a backup and restore a try tonight to see what happens.. ^_^

looking for HTC Explorer A310e RUU

Hi all,
As there is no separate box for HTC Explorer (A310e/pico) I post my thread here
Do you know if there is a RUU for the HTC Explorer A310e? I am not able to find it with google...
ruu number should be: 1.17.404.2 (htc sense 3.5);
but the only one I have found is the RUU_Pico_HTC_Europe_1.17.401.2...
Do you know the difference between HTC Explorer Pico and HTC Explorer A310e?

I need an ruu to relock my bootloader.
I can't find the correct European ruu. My software version is 1.28.401.1 and my radio is 1.10.80.13M2.

I think your cid might be HTC_004. You could probably use a gold card to bypass cid check.

[REQ] Ereader App for sense 4.0 ROMs

Hi guys, i've noticed theres no HTC eReader in the sense 4.0 ROMs, i was just wondering if someone could explain how / create a flashable zip that would allow me to port it into the sense 4.0 ROMs.

Ya, I was hoping a dev would take this on as well. Also the HTC News app (not genie) would be good as well

HTC ereader
I now upgraded to HTC OneX
it is missing the ereader which came in by default on Sensation XE
can some one please submit the .apk
will be real thankful

E-Reader and News attached.
Don't see any reason why installing the APK's shouldn't just work unless there's some lib or something missing.

Download the attached file and change the extension to .so
Try push the attached file to /system/lib using ADB or a File Manager in root mode and set the permissions to whatever the other files are in /system/lib.

So I need to root my phone to proceed ?

i bought yesterday my htc sensation 4G, and i want to install new custom ROM instead of the stock one, but all tutorials are talking about "HTC Sensation" and not "HTC Sensation 4G", is it the same?
can i follow this tutorial (in french)?

They are the same. I bet googling "can I flash sensation ROMs on sensation 4G" would answer your question too.

thank you se1000, now i have my phone s-off/ rooted, and now im installing the touch recovery,but i want to know will i need to SuperCID my phone to install custom roms(i have 1.27.0000 hboot) ?
which Rom do you advice me to install (sense 4)?

Just my opinion but venom is good.

Venom Viper rom is good for Sense 4. I would SuperCID, just to be on the safe side

when we need to change the firmware version? will i have the right to install any ICS/Sense Rom whith my curent firmware?
i had a HTC HD2 before buying this Sensation, i installed all avaible ROMs for the HD2 (realy all) and whitout any problem and without need to change any thing (bootloader,firmware,...) (after installing the right recovery), but with HTC Sensation i think it is more complicated,is it?

Sensation and Sensation 4G are the same phone. The Sensation 4G is the T-Mobile US variant (name only).

Yes I wondered the same thing until I learned the 4g like we have is just a name Tmobile gave it. It confused me too at first.

And when i re-flash with my stock ROM i got only 14MB free space in Internal Memory.
So i can't even install apps..
