Language on the android - General Questions and Answers

My friend had downloaded a farsi keyboard app on the droid x, and while he sends the message its translated correctly. But when he receives the message back in farsi, it doesnt have it as one word but as letter by letter. Is there a fix for this?

Can any one help me please? I have a XDA Exec with WM5. My work involves me dealing and spending a lot of time in Thailand. I have installed Living Soft translation software on my system which is great for helping me out. It also gives me the option to use a Thai keyboard on screen. However this keyboard and Thai fonts only work with the software. I receive a lot of e-mails and sms text messages in Thai but these messages do not show on my device as outlook and sms does not recognize Thai fonts. I have tried the obvious in finding some Thai fonts from the internet and installed them in the font folder, but the device does not see them.
Is there a way I can get my XDA to display both English and Thai fonts for all standard WM5 programs?
Any help will be a life saver
Regards
Peter

[Q] SMS problems

I just got the Triumph, rooted it, Installed CWM, and loaded the latest MIUI.
I can send regular (english) SMS messages with no problem. When I try sending Chinese, the receiver doesn't get the Pinyin characters. The receiver gets a line of garbage (question marks, commas, etc). The same happens in reverse. When someone sens me a message in Chinese, I just get garbage instead of Pinyin.
I read somewhere there is a fix for this... a hack, if you will. I can't remember exactly, but it has something to do with the stock message app forcing 7-bit characters? Any ideas on how to fix this?
A friend of mine has this exact problem.
The only difference is that he uses CM7 and tries to send messages in Cyrillic (the alphabet, that is used in Russian and some other Slavonic languages)

Text message translation.

Hey everyone searched for something buy couldn't find it. I have a friend who is taking a french program in the summer and during that time they can only communicate in french so when they text me it will be in french. I myself do not speak french and was wondering if anyone knows of a messaging program that will translate my text messages without having to copy and paste every one of them.

SMS messages are sent blank if using any other language but English (Motorola Moto G)

Hi folks. I'm really lost with this and not sure who to turn to. I am a translator for a living so the fact that I cannot send SMS in different languages and answer my clients is a big issue. I have searched for my problem using Google, but didn't get anything helpful.
Phone: Motorola Moto G (2nd generation, 2014)
Android version: 4.4.4
Problem: When sending an SMS in English and Greek, there are no issues, I can see what I type and I can send SMS messages successfully. The problem is with the Serbian and Russian languages. I can see what I am typing, but as soon as I hit send, the phone will simply send a blank message. I can receive all sorts of languages (including Serbian and Russian to the phone from other people, no issues), so it seems to be an outbound issue only.
I have selected the languages that I need via: Settings --> Language & Input --> Keyboard & Input Methods. Google Keyboard is ticked and the Input Languages are English, Serbian, Russian and Greek.
I really am at a loss as what to do. The phone is a week old a great phone, but I won't be able to keep it if I cannot fix this as I am effectively sending my clients blank SMS!
