I am new to this rom, have spent countless hours the past week researching and trying several things out. I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. Id like to change my bootloader, load screen, notification drop menu, center the clock, n take any suggestions on awesome themes. Any suggestions?
Change your bootloader? ? Thats nonsense.
Change bootanimation is possible. Grab rom toolbox pro from playstore.

I was browsing from work yesterday and was redirected to a few sites, other forums, and somewhere I saw a picture of a wizard home screen that had some program installed. It changed the start bar icon to a very vista-ish style look, green circle silver bar, plus it switched the clock and the close button. Unfortunately, I was at work, so I didn't have much time to really take a good look before I had to get back on the phones, so I lost the page. It may have been a rom, as I was reading the thread of a rom when I saw the screen captures of it, but I'm almost positive it was just a program using different skins. I've spent the last 3 hours trying to find this program again, trying to retrace my steps, but to no avail.
If anyone knows anything about this program, any info would be great.

I'd like to see if anyone here has the ability to either help me with a project, or just to point me in the right direction. What I'd like to do, is port the lockscreen, notification bar, and (if possible) call answer screen from the Simplisim theme for the HTC Desire to the droid X. Simplism can be found in the Desire subform here, I just can't link to it yet...
I'm not sure where to start - I also posted in that thread. I'm currently working on the notification bar (The easy part ). Anyone have any ideas? ^_^

Well, I'm already working on the statusbar up top... icons and looks and whatnot. I'll probably get to editing the XML and fonts soon. The REAL issue, at least for me, is how to get that sexy lockscreen and/or call answer screen on the Dx. Any ideas?
I know these may be bad questions, but I cannot figure them out. I have a rooted Droid 2 with the ADW & Darkedge theme. First, for some reason my dialpad did not change at all. I've tried downloading a few skins from the net and I get error code 7 when trying to install from recovery. So if someone could point me in the direction of new dialpad that would be great.
Also, my google search widget didn't change either. Actually, when I look at the Darkedge pics, a lot of my apps have not changed at all. I have used Metamorph and tried to change them several times.
Can anyone point me in the right direction/help me out? Thank you very much...it is appreciated.
I guess I just wanted to show off a little bit. I'm just beginning to get a grasp of how these files are packaged. I've got a very long way to go but this is what I came up with after a couple of hours. I still have a few things I need to track down and tweak but it's a start. I'd eventually like to make the calendar transparent green. But I'll go with this to start. Thanks to all who have posted tutorials, instructions and feedback in these forums. I do appreciate it. I've included a couple shots of my home screen so that you can see the inspiration behind the color choice. The only part of the home screen I'm responsible for is the color and font tweak to the beautiful widgets clock. Hopefully I'll have something worth sharing in the coming weeks.

I'm making my verry first custom rom. It's based on another custom rom, 4.4.2, and it wil be for jiayu g4, just like the base rom. I realy enjoy doing this and I'm learning a lot. but I need your help with somthing.
I have been trying to mod the SystemUI.apk of my phone for more than a week now and I just can't seem to get it done.
The purpose is to change it so people can activate/deactivate and rearrange toggles in quick settings. The ROM already has the the quick settings tab (when touching the button above in the right corner), but there are just 13 toggles, and you can't deactivate and rearrange them. Also I would like to add some volume sliders in the notification tab since the volume panel isn't expandable.
I followed this guide ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53364269#post53364269 ) since that the closest guide I found to what I want, but I keep having problems with recompiling the app when it has to be done for the first time.
I tried with apktool1.5.2 and apktool2, I tried with multi-tools, I used baksmali-manager, I litterally tried almost everything but I keep getting errors saying "error for input '.parameter': invalid directive" and other errors relating smali.
I'm realy out of ideas and have already spend a lots of time on this, so could someone PLEAS take some time to help me out? I would realy appriciate it!
My phone is jiayu G4t, (mtk6589t) running custom rom (vredniiy) 4.4.2.
