Canadian bought TF700 WW or US SKU? - Asus Transformer TF700

Hey fellow Canucks, hoping someone can help me with this question. I didn't get the .30 OTA (yet) so I decided to check the asus website and there it is, BUT for the US SKU. I got my Infinity at BB Canada, and to be honest, I suspect it may be a return. Could someone pls confirm for me whether their Canadian purchased TF700 is WW or US SKU?
I was under the impression that US would be for all of North America.
Thanks for the help!

I got mine from bestbuy and it's WW
I believe I read somewhere that Tigerdirect.ca sold it to someone in Canada but it shipped from the states and got the US sku

I picked mine up thru Amazon dot com in us, with the us sku it updated here in Canada ok.

Yes, I was able to unlock, but then realized no OTA for me and since there was some cosmetic damage I returned to BB.
Thanks for the replies guys!

Got mine at Canada Computers near Toronto a few days ago, and it is a US build. See attachment for screenshot.

Got my TF700 from BB also and it's WW as well. My TF101, which I bought from Canada Computers last year, is also WW.
It's funny since my TF101 seemed to always get the WW version before the US got their version.

bought mine from ncix, its ww, my dad bought his from tigerdirect and its a us
seems like in canada its a mix of both, you can only confirm by checking build

im from quebec canada
I take it from futureshop and its a ww version and y dont receive update.

Is there are particular reason to choose one over the other (US/WW)? I ask because I bought mine from Amazon while visiting the US. I live in the UK.

I bought mine from ncix and its ww.

I got mine at Canada Computers at the end of August it had US SKU and I was able to unlock and root.

I noticed my Canadian bought tf300's were WW and you could disable Dmclient and cmclient. My Canadian tf700 is US and cm/dmclient can not be disabled.
Is this a ww/us difference or a 300/700 difference?

Mine is WW from best buy

Tf700s were sold out everywhere in canada for a good month, but I spoke with future shop and they said their US stores were overflowing with units
Considering the Canadian tf300s I saw were WW, I think most Canadian retailers just shipped some Tf700 stock in from the US

Bought my tf700 from Futureshop a couple weeks ago when there was no stock across Canada in Futureshop and Best Buy. It was a return, but not used. Its a WW

[Q] Tigerdirect to Portugal?

Does anyone know if tigerdirect ships to Portugal?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
I thinks it only US and Canada bud
Thought that too but they do ship to Portugal but to order you need to call the company via phone and ask your order! Its kinda stupid that only US and Canada can order via website but its better then nothing

Pre-orders and availability for the UK

There is already a thread for US pre-orders so I thought I might start one for the UK.
The only place I have found so far is that Amazon.de have pre-orders for three versions and they will, of course, ship to the UK.
599€ (less than £500 at today's rates) for the 64Gb gold without dock
719€ for the 64Gb gold with dock
and 727.98€ for the grey 64Gb with dock.
As Amazon don't charge your card before shipping, I have pre-ordered the gold one without the dock as I am hopeful the TF201 dock will fit the TF700T. See my separate thread about this.
Please post any information you get about other sources.
EDIT: Just to add that if you order from Amazon.de with shipping to the UK, they adjust the price to account for the higher VAT rate in the UK.
thanks for these, i'd missed this! is there any indication as to when amazon.de will ship?
another possiblity for UK orders is komplett.ie , who claimed to be aiming to have the TF700T available, with international layout dock, by yesterday, so with some luck they may be in stock monday, then shipping to the UK could be done through postal forwarding at not to high a cost.

Not so far as I am aware. Often Amazon.de get this sort of stuff before the UK but, as they don't charge your card until they ship, you can cancel if you see a better or quicker source without any penalty.
Keep in mind: amazon.de sells the german version which has a qwertz-keyboard. I'm not sure about umlaute, but I guess the key dock has them, too.
Also, the power-supply would be for CEE7/16, which to my knowledge is not usable in UK.
I am currently looking at ordering one from the Netherlands, which should have US-international keyboard, but also CEE7/16

Do komplett.ie ship to the UK? When I looked at other komplett sites, they did not mention international shipping.

Good point but I plan on getting the dockless version so that should not be an issue. And I'm sure the good folks at XDA will enable me to put on the UK firmware pretty soon after release.

Can you explain, please? I thought Germany uses the same power system as in the UK (and also in Spain where we also stay frequently) with just a different plug. I bought my Samsung Galaxy S3 from Amazon.de and am not aware of a problem with the charger.

I was talking about the plug only. It's not that easy to find an adapter that goes "the other way round", most available sets are "local female, foreign male". To use a foreign power plug you will need "foreign female, local male" - if you know that and have access to the correct adapter, everything is fine.

Not yet, have only found komplett.nl, but they do not offer international shipping on their website. Have contacted them about it and am waiting for their response.
If you don't mind overpaying a bit, it looks like easynotebooks.de have a very few grey with dock and gold without dock that they will ship to the UK. They also sell through Amazon.de but it seems that you cannot get it shipped to the UK going via their Amazon store.
Total cost for the gold without dock comes to nearly 660€ with shipping! When Amazon have them, it will be about 612€ so you're definitely paying for being an early adopter.

Alternate.nl allows for international orders (in my case to Germany), plus they list the TF700T 64GB with Dock for pre-orders.
I had problems with their ordering-process and contacted their sales-team - they were really quick and my pre-order is placed with them now. Shipment will be 10,95 Euros vom NL to DE.
komplett.nl whom i contacted last weekend did not respond to me at all.
I ordered an standard one without dock from easynotebooks.de yesterday. The total cost was £570. They shipped UPS Standard same day and it should arrive here tomorrow :victory:

Verizon Shipment Notice

Just received a shipment notice email from VZ stating that "Your Order has Shipped". Haven't purchased anything else from them, so it must mean only one thing Note that I pre-ordered within the first 15 minutes of the site going live (my order number is 94569). Shipping Carrier is FedEx.
My order number is 26292 ordered on 6/18. I guess the numbers mean little. No word on shipment yet. Supposedly on 7/10.

What is the availability in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and France?

I'm going to be doing a bit of travelling around Western Europe over the next 2 weeks.
Does anyone know what the availability in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and France for the TF700 is like?
More so, is it available in any actual retail stores? The Euro/Pound exchange rate is fairly decent at the moment for me so it might be worth picking one up in Europe. Not interested in the dock so language doesn't bother me.
germany:
One of the official stores mentioned on the asus homepage says all pad versions will be available on 19.7.
The grey version with the dock and the gold without the dock are available in some stores online.
No idea about the offline stores thou.
Belgium has some stores where you can/could pick up one, like Media Markt. But the stock is probably limited ...
Any news on the availability of the 32 GB version. ?

As for France, it's available in a couple of online stores but the 32gb version should be here first week of august. I haven't seen it in a physical store yet but I'm not looking either... if you find yourself in any big city, you should try the local "Fnac" which is, generally speaking, ahead of most unspecialized store ( and if you're in Paris, you 'll have plenty of other posibilities to find it)

It's not up for sale yet. But you can use an international credit card to pay for it. To get it shipped, you'll have to get someone to ship it to you.

Or you could always wait for "water" products (imported) from the small stores. I was in Hong Kong this summer, the Nexus 7 2013 only took like 1 week from when it was on sale at the US play store. The typical price was around $2200 HKD for the 16 GB version, about a $400 HKD premuim. It'll probably cost that much paying double shipping by using comgateway.com or other mail forwarding service.
It will not cost sgd80 for forwarder...

im also from hk.. i think you should wait until it comes to hk.. the nexus 4 came in december costed 4k hkd which is good enough...
I live in Singapore where anything is subjected to a hike of around 30%-50%. The nexus 4 is sold here at sgd600+ at large retail stores... gpu can cost SGD 300 more

Actually, for Hong Kong users, it might be a really bad idea to buy from the US play store if any of you are planning to use it for 4G services. According to the LTE band thread, the UK version is a much better choice, mainly in that the US (D820) version of the phone will NOT work with 4G services in Hong Kong. Wikipedia says that the Hong Kong networks use bands 3,7, 40, the US version do not support any of these frequency bands, whereas the UK (D821) version supports bands 3 and 7.
