I am in Singapore, so I should have the WW version (don't have the tab with me right now, will check when I get back home). I received the .30 update around 2 days ago.
you dont have the WW version because the update is not out for it, you either have the TW, JP, CN or US.

Oh well, I always assume that everything sold in Singapore is international SKU. That's why I said I need to check my tab again, since I am not very sure myself.

the update is not region specific, its sku specific
After checking, I realize that my tf700 is indeed TW version. No wonder I received the .30 update so early. Why they sell TW SKUs in Singapore is just beyond me.
This not available yet. Why all other regions got this already 2 days ago beats me. Wouldn't assume there are that big differences with the models.
But the waiting game continues and this not even the JB update which TF300 got over a month ago now..so..
I think there is something pretty badly messed up with this device and it is giving Asus some grey hair how to do some updates.

Here in France the US, TW, JP and CN has arrived yesterday (monday) even if it was not useful here as we are using version WW. But during last night, they removed the files and only version .26 is available right now. I believe that their delivery process is yet to improve

new UK owner here. TF came with 3.1 already on it, i think. my firmware is listed in settings as: hmj37.ww_epad-8.4.4.5.2-20110603 and when i check for updates it says there are none available. TF not rooted.
it worries me that people are posting that they have received new updates since i have had mine but i've had nothing. is this normal? or have i inadvertently turned updating off?

Try going into the settings menu and then "about tablet" - hit check update and it will try and seek any available updates and will begin to download them for you.

i've done that and it finds no available updates. but is that definitive? what about the 8.4.4.11? update that many people are reporting having received in the last few days? is that america-only?

I am from the uk too and I at first I hadn't got an update. I think they're rolling it out gradually because i'm stock rooted and got an update notification yesterday. Haven't updated yet though as i'm waiting for more info to come out about how to go about it, fingers crossed you get it! Hope this helps. Dave.

let me revise that. i *think* i received my update notification. i didn't check it closely and it could have simply been an update notification for one of my installed apps. in any case, i delayed installing it and the notification eventually went away and clicking "check for updates" subsequently returned "no updates available".
i also have not received the 3.2 update notification as yet.
based in the UK. stock rom. not rooted.
i wonder if by not accepting the 8.4.4.11 update, i have disqualified myself from 3.2?
anyone else in this position?
I think I read on my 3.2 update notification that you can only refuse to accept the update 3 times. Don't think it said anything about what to do if you did refuse it those 3 times though.
I bought mine a couple of weeks ago from amazon uk and had it shipped here to malta it had 8.4.4.11 on it already. My 3.2 update came on the 2nd August. I had to force update by going through the About tablet check for system update procedure and all went well.
Did you receive the update meanwhile?

Some things I have noticed: pretty zippy in terms of swiping now. The lag that we get when swiping from apps to widget screen had been reduced. Stock browser is exactly the same, still lags here and there. What have you guys noticed about the new update!?

Yup, got it here US EST. I was hopping for JB 4.2. Ugh! My TF700 had been sluggish after the previous update. For me this update has improved the performance.

You know, i say this every update: The stock browser seems zippier. Doesnt stall at the beginning of loading the page. I cold reboot every other day so i know its not the cold reboot after the update that does it. Weird-sauce.....

Also, had some browser f/c already. The more things change, the more they stay the same. I notice no difference in performance from this update.

It appears that this build has improved over all system performance, boot, video, wifi, blutetooth, browsing, app loading and touch response. This based on my experince from the previous build.\
I could not find any additional features at the time of this post but will update when I find any.

When I got the update I thought it was the 4.2 update, but was a little disappointed when it wasn't haha. Im noticing my browser hasn't been force closing like it used to but have yet to find any official release notes. I'm not used to the whole updating process with the Asus TF700 (Shh, I'm New), but is this usually how the updates are? Has anyone heard any word on the official 4.2 update I.. I mean WE... really, REALLY, want? :crying: Regardless, I'm still in love with this tablet

According to the Asus France facebook page, someone posted asking about this update and they said it was for bug fixes and to prepare for bringing up to 4.2
Update didn't work for me on my rooted but still locked Infinity. Everytime I boot or cold boot, it goes through the process of updating/optimizing all the apps. Once the desktop shows I get dialogs for all the background apps closing. Any app I try to start closes immediately. Haven't tried a factory reset yet though I'm not sure that will work. And if it does, I'll probably be left unrooted.
Update: Factory reset fails as I can't even get through the setup wizard as all the background processes are closing and the wizard eventually hangs. Guess I'll have to go back to the beginning with 4.0.3, root and go from there, AGAIN.

Nice, it would be sick if we got that 4.2 update sometime this week! :laugh: :cyclops: I really wanna show this tablet off to some of my friends with ipads, but I'm not trying to embarrass myself because of all these little bugs and browser force closing haha
I do not understand how Asus gets away with releasing updates with no release notes. Frustrating.
Were there any firmware updates to radios, keyboard, or other stuff like that? That's the only reason I install stock images.

I have the TF700 dock (shows version 0207). In doing some searches there seems to be confusion as to whether there is a 0209 update out. It may be only for the TF101 version (TF201 and 700 are supposedly the same). Can someone please confirm what the most up-to-date TF700 mobile dock version (firmware) is. If there is a newer one than 0207, is there download link? I don' see any support for docks on Asus' website.

They don't push updates to entire countries in a single click. It's done over time. For example, you may know someone in France who gets the update right away while it could take you a week to get it. It's all by chance. If you wnat to upgrade, either get the factory image if it is available in the factory image thread, or download the OTA and flash it manually once the link is posted for your model if it already isn't.

No, that's incorrect. I'm from US and we were the last wave to get the update, actually. Brazil seemed to get it first...but like I said, they don't release to entire countries at once. It's a tiered rollout, by country/model, meaning it could take weeks for every owner of one specific model to get the notification.
Also, the order of when countries get the update varies by firmware update. Some are quicker to build than others, some carriers submit new binaries, etc before others...it's totally random, from our perspective.
What is the latest update for the US unlocked Fold 2?
I have this and the S20 Ultra, and my ultra is on November security patch but my fold 2 is still on October.
I'm just wondering am I not getting updates is there a newer update that I'm not getting or is that just the latest update for it?

The October update is the latest; rumor has it that the fold is harder to update due to the proprietary folding software and the conventional wisdom around here is pointing it's finger that way in regards to the delayed updates. I haven't seen any compelling evidence that it is in fact the reason but it sounds plausible.
Mine is already on the November security patch, for over a week, maybe it's phased.

I think the OTA is something like 577mb. I'm hearing from people that this update enables Verizon nationwide 5G.

Just got a new update this morning (unlocked version)... wondering if anyone else got an issue with 3rd party chargers? I use a Dell 45 watt charger as my primary but now it won't fast charge. At first I thought it might be my cable but I used the one I keep around in the living room which is also a third party (just the brick, the cable is oem) and it will not fast charge as well. I tried my note 20 and have no issues fast charging with either cable. It only happened after the update this morning but wondering if anyone else has this problem
