I think he meant the clean process, That means starting from the PIT, XXKPE , then your current firmware again.

sammobile.com provides the stock firmware untouched, you will need to install the latest one for your region.

[Q] How to make a flashable Odin backup for P3110?

Hi,
can someone tell me how to create a full rom backup that can be restored using ODIN? Want to root my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" (P3110) but canĀ“t find stock rom for my device if anything happens and i have to restore...???
Thanks in advance.
Did you try to find stock rom in www.samfirmware.com??
Unfortunately there is no German rom, same as about Ukrainian (SEK)
I am also interested in this thread
Any help ?

You can root / unroot your device without flashing bootloader . Check thread about Android Development for 7"
So nothing new ?
I'm also interesting to make a backup of my tablet before flashing rom.
Im looking for the DBT Firmware or how to create a rom backup too.
Is it possible to flash a firmware from another country and change the language (maybe the BTU Firmware = United Kingdom)?
So its not the DBT Firmware but it is stock.
Another idee i've searched for is to extract the Firmware from Kies.
I've found something but i can't post the URL, because I'm a new user
Google for "extract firmware kies", it's the first entry.
Unfortunately we have to wait for the update to 4.0.4 to get the firmware.

Flash stock rom only from odin or heimdall and you will have no root and stock factory state and counter will not increase as counter not increase with stock firmwares
But try to use triangle away app before all that to reset counter to zero

[Q] i9003 problem! Please help!

Hey guys. Recently I bought a i9003 sammy device. I rooted it with help of some guys in this forum (huge thanks to you guys). I'm all stock except of Cf-Root kernel. Everything was fine until I came up with strange problem - when my phone completely runs out of charge (when it turns off) and I try to turn it on the screen just flashes (everything is ok at this point). But when I plug in the charger and turn the phone on, it looks like it's running for the first time! Even starting guide shows up, tries to teach me about phone which I had for like 3 months lol. Every icon on the desktop is organised as in new phone (all in their place like in phone store). Allthough, all apps I had are still in my apps list, they are still working as they should except of Google play store. When I try to download anything I keep getting "process com.android.vending" has stopped working... Plea se help me guys.. It's very frustrating when every of my text message is deleted and google play store doesn't even wo.rk Thanks in advance!
Does it happen all the time?
Yes, it does... Happened to me like 5 times now...

Thank you for your effort guys really appreciate that. I want to ask you something. What if my versions are:
PDA: I9003ZHKPE
PHONE: I9003XXKPM
CSC: I9003ZZHKP9
Isn't I9003ZHKPE similar to XXKPE? Please explain something about those firmwares if you can thanks
Your firmware is not the same as xxkpe. Xxkpe is like the foundation of all the stock rom.

I quote.. xxkpe is the base for gingerbread (2.3.4 version), after flashing it with odin you can flash the gingerbread version 2.3.6 you want (you can bring your country one, if u want).
Please flash every firmware 2 times (so you avoid any software problem during flash)
Good luck

Sign of breaking MMC
Dude, it look like the sign of the breaking mmc chip, if for me, i will flash back to stock and return it to the store and claim warranty.
by the way, if your flash others than your country code firmware, you will not getting chinese character.
Yes, you can flash any 2.3.6 version, as you wish!
Maybe you can solve your problem this way, maybe not.. try it, if it doesn't work.. send the phone to the assistance
Cheers
I found these firmwares for my i9003. So I have to flash "I9003XXKPE ##" using Odin (as PDA) twice ant then "I9003XXKP7 ##"?

Than good. Go for xxle4, than follow xda bam kernel. Its the best currently. But xxkpe first .
No ned flash twice. Just factory reset after every flash .

Are you saying you can Odin the same phone to ICS but not to JB?
Have you tried using Kies?
if you have a stock rom, also for me, the simple way to upgrade the firmware is Kies.

Hello mate,
Try this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2503230
There is also a way to change your baseband, which I assume is causing your network issue. Read the entire post and you will find it.

hi amorylo,
first of all, how ever roms you will try you cannot use them. Because i also had same problem and was unable to use a single custom rom.
But then i read somewhere about firmware package which absolutely solved my problem.
Actually it is problem in your rom's firmware package version. I had stock rom firmware version ending with something like LM2 like that which was the latest update for my rom firmware. But i read somewhere that this version have some issues and bugs. so i flashed low level firmware package ending with LK1. which was lower version of my rom firmware. And that perfectly solved my problem and currently i am enjoying my custom rom
So you have to find higher or lower version of your stock rom's firmware package and have to flash it using odin. Hope it will solve your problem.

What do you mean by baseband not changing? I am confused. I mean you just have to flash another version of baseband. Try flashing ZCLM2/ZCLE2 etc. Tell me exact what problem you are facing.

You have the chinese baseband version. Have you tried flashing a official firmware listed at Samsung-updates.com or SamMobile.com? E.g. a european firmware. Chinese ones aren't even listed there. May be that will fix your issues.

You are doing it wrong buddy! First you are uploading HOME.tar everywhere.
There are three files in firmware package, PDA.tar, CSC.tar, MODEM.tar.
Upload in respective ODIN files space,
PDA.tar.md5-->PDA,
MODEM.tar.md5-->phone,
CSC.tar.md5-->CSC
LEAVE BOOTLOADER EMPTY!
And as LS.xD said, you install OFFICIAL FIRMWARE PACKAGE! Also you can install firmwares of different countries.
In the End, Don't Give Up! :good:
