Nexus 7 vs Sony Xperia Tablet S - General Questions and Answers

Hey guys,
Recently, I've been wondering whether or not I should sell my Nexus 7 to get the Sony Xperia Tablet S, which just got released at the end of August. I've tried it at the store, it made of aluminium, bigger screen, 8MP back camera with Exmor R, Playstation certified, IR Blaster, better design, 6000 MAH battery and SX-Master Audio, ICS 4.0 but not lag at all. The big plus it has over the Nexus 7 is that it has full size SD card slot support, HDMI out, water-splash proof, etc..
I've been using my Nexus 7 for about 1 month now, im quite satisfied with it. But I would like to consider a bigger screen to have better experience at web browsing, movies, gaming, etc.
Is there anyone that own a sony tablet s before ? What do you guys think ? Should I go for it or not ?
Cheer,

New Android Girl nexus s and arc

Hello everyone, I'm fairly new to android and would love if someone could help me. Coming from iPhone 4 I wana get android phone cause Rogers is releasing nexus s and xperia arc on 28th I wana get one but not sure which is better. Please help me everyone as I have only week to decide.
Thanks
Buy Arc Or w8 For Samsung Galaxy S2 ( similar to iphone 4 in looks )
might be forever for sgs2
just looking at the specs the Xperia Arc has the advantage in many areas:
8.1MP vs 5MP camera
microSD slot that can accept a 32GB card vs 16GB fixed internal in Nexus
4.2" vs 4.0" screen
FM radio
micro hdmi
MobileSyrup is reporting the Samsung Galaxy S II to be released late Q2/Early Q3. With a dual core 1.2 GHz processor, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display and 1GB of RAM, I think it'll be worth the wait.
If not, I think the Samsung Nexus S would be a better choice than the Arc.
Sgs2 released in india. Getting in day or two
In Uk 1st May Onwards.
its not Forever
So not arc? I need one rightaway or nexus s.

If you want something right away, then take the Arc. It's a better phone than the Nexus S.

Agreed.
I used a Nexus S for a couple of weeks prior to getting my Arc and there's simply no contest IMO.
Of course there's the obvious points like the superior camera, the flexibility of having a memory card as opposed to only in-built memory, extra features like HDMI-out and the significantly better looks
But there's also things like the fact that the Arc is smoother, so much more polished and the screen is actually really good - for day-to-day usage, I'd go so far as to say that it's a match for the sAMOLED panel the Nexus S uses.
Hi i would recommend you to go for sony ericsson xperia arc because i have research lot for this phone and i got awesome reviews so go for arc. Thanks.

Except, you know, for the screen you're looking at all day (SAMOLED >>> any LCD), and the constant Google software updates. And the faster Hummingbird in the Nexus.

[Q] Confusion confusion confusion

Well guys as I posted in my previous topic that I want to buy a decent android mobile but now its just confusion confusion nconfusion.
I'm confused.
First i thought to buy sony ericsson x10 mini pro as it got qwerty. Then polo adviced me not to buy because they'll stuck on android eclair and low screen resolution as well low hardware.
Then I thought to buy motorola defy from all your guys suggestion. But I always wanted a qwerty phone so for a while my heart turns towards motorola milestone. But then again you guys helped me and showed me correct path as it got low phone internal memory and ram.
Then my mind kept cool for a while so i was searching for a decent phone. Then comes galaxy S i9003 which got everything , dual cameras and a decent hardware butnot much developer support. And I don't know whether it got a gorilla glass which is screen resistance.
So then comes the news ofarrival of sony ericsson mini and mini pro. Mini progot a decent hardware, 5 mp camera with flash, secondary camera , hd video recording and playback but again it's too small when it was compared with xperia x10 it seems too small in size.
I got a budget of 21000 rupees i.e. 480 . What should i buy now?
@ Shriharsh
considering your budget, i would advice you to extend it by 1.5k more and you would get a galaxy s i9000. I have just got the phone for a friend @ 22.5k.
else go for moto defy, damn good phone with good dev support

[Q] Nexus S vs. Xperia Arc

Hello everyone, I'm going to upgrade from my Galaxy 5 to some other Android device, and I have 1.000 R$ ( 570 US dollars ) to spend on a new smartphone. Here on Brazil with that money you can buy a Nexus S, a Xperia Arc or a Motorola Atrix. So I don't know which one to choose. The Xperia Arc is gorgeous, thin, has a great camera and a bigger display, the Nexus S will be receiving most of the updates right after their release, has a front facing camera and a Super Amoled screen, while the Atrix is.. well.. meh. So, which of those do you recommend for me to choose as my smartphone for the next 2 years? Also, I watch A LOT of TV shows on my smartphone, i'm a pretty hardcore gamer and I listen to music constantly on my Galaxy 5, so the phone must have nice media capabilities.
Thanks!
man , you are asking in Nexus S section, so , sure , your answer would be Nexus S,
if you ask in their section , sure you have answer of their section.
personal idea , i suggest wait for another moth or so , wait for Galaxy Nexus , and then you can sell you Galaxy 5 to get some money , plus your 570 USD , almost there ...
yes sure nexus s is the best try it, sory for my bad eng
If you go for the design, get a Xperia Arc
If you go for a lot more performance, definitely get a Nexus S.
Or just wait and spare some money for the Galaxy Nexus / Nexus Prime.
the Galaxy S2 will share a lot of similarities to the galaxy nexus, and their price has already dropped a lot since launch... perhaps that is one option to consider as well?
My friend has the ark and I have a nexus s, my nexus outperforms the Ark in everything except for the camera, he is a bit annoyed at how slow it is.

[Q] Asus Nexus 7 or Sony S SGPT113IN?

Hello don't quite know if it's the right place to ask
but i am planning to buy a tablet and i am confused between Asus Nexus 7(32GB) and Sony S SGPT113IN(16GB) both available at 20000 INR.
The Sony tablet has a bigger screen, a back camera and 3G too.
So i am going to test apps (developements related work) mainly on the tablet.
What do you think is the best considering the following aspects
performance wise
feature wise
quality of parts and durability
value for money
Please help me make a decision:angel:
considering the 2 i would choose sony's one.
Quality of materials are high, the screen is bigger, sony's personalizzation is great. Otherwise Nexus 7 is a Nexus that means updates, updates, updates meanwhile sony take alot to update his devices. Performance is a dual core for sony and quad core for asus, maybe on graphics that means alot, faster load time and better graphics. Is based on: u prefer more space or 3G connetivity? a bigger screen and stylish design or just power for gaming?

Nexus 10 VS Sony Xperia Tablet Z?

Hi,
Im thinking of buying a tablet for comics and internet.
I am now down to Nexus 10 or Sony Xperia Tablet Z.
I know that Nexus 10 have better resolution but not that great colors, it also have faster updates. Sony Tablet Z is a lot lighter and offers sd slot.
The question is if Nexus 10 screen will make small text in comics easier on the eyes?
Have anyone tested both? What is the real cons on pros?
