Gallery closing when viewing photos - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Within the last day, all of a sudden when viewing photos in the gallery, it has started flashing a couple of times and then just goes back to the home screen. I have tried unmounting the external SD card, formatted it, deleted both ..\DCIM\Camera on the internal and external cards. Nothing. I have also unsynced the Picasa albums, went in to the Application Manager and cleared the data and cache for the Gallery. Still nothing. Even with an empty Gallery it still closes. Any ideas? I am running the debloated stock rom and rooted. I have had no new updates recently. My phone is pretty much useless now with the camera and viewing pictures.

Htc gallery locking up phone!

Running skyraider 2.5.2 So a new issue. I took a few videos today and went to gallery to play them back. I click on a set in gallery, it goes to the list of pics/vids but doesn't load the preview pics, they're all grayed out. Then it proceeds to lock up the phone and I have to pull the battery to reboot. I've tried clearing the gallery data and cache, no luck.
This really stinks

[Q] Picture Gallery is Killing me

Alright, I have been searching with no solution in sight. I have tried everything.
I deleted many videos and pictures from my phone using the usb cable as I've always done. For some reason, this time around, the gallery will not delete the freaking pictures. It shows the gray box as a thumbnail with an exclamation mark and will not delete.
I have deleted the .thumbs folder, I have emptied data/cache, I have deleted the cache in the /com.cooliris.media/ folder. I have tried using gallery 3d (with some success but the folders that I also deleted still show.
I dont know what to do! It's pissing me off. Even folders that I set to private (putting a period before the name) still show up, although no pictures show up inside them.
I have a rooted Evo 4g with Fresh rom. This problem has been going on with every other rom I put in. Any solutions besides throwing this gorgeous phone against the wall and see it splatter into little pieces?
I'm assuming there's some hidden place where this cache is that keeps everything. Gallery will not reload no matter what I delete

[Q] Process.media force close issue

Ever since the ICS Update on my XOOM, upon turning the XOOM on I would received the process.media FC message. Typically twice. I read several posts on the forums where it said to go into Settings-->Apps-->All and clear the cache for the media app.
I did that. I rebooted, and now when I go into the music and video apps, none of my music or movies are there. When I use OI File Manager and view the SD Card, I can see the music and movies. I can even play them.
For space reasons I want to keep them on the SD Card, how do I make them show in the apps?
Apparently I just had to be patient. Came back 90 min later and everything was visible again.
go settings - appps - media storage - clear cache - reboot

Problems with memory, cant write

Hello good people of XDA, please help
.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Android 8.1, not rooted.
Issue is present maybe half the time I use the device, the other half everything works fine.
Symptoms:
After taking photo with oem camera app, there is a circle spinning around thumbnail and then the thumbnail is empty and sometimes camera crashes without error message. Most of the time the first picture I take is saved and appears in gallery minutes later, the other I take after few seconds are lost. Changing storage to external SD doesnt help.
When trying to download app from store, there is no response from Install button or Google Play crashes like camera. In better case "Download pending"
When trying to copy files from internal memory to SD file manager crashes after few hundred MBs.
Google Photos can't edit, no response from Edit button.
BUT - When I tried to test by SD Card tester it writes data fine, cca 200 MB/s.
Tried:
Delete all camera data.
Factory reset.
Do you have any idea how to troubleshoot this?
Thanks!

Camera not saving photos

I am having a strange issue from time to time, where the camera flashes to take a photo, and the photo shows up on the little thumbnail in the bottom left.
However, when I open the gallery, it turns out the photos didn't save, and they're not in the phone's internal storage. When I restart my phone, it starts saving again.
This is, of course incredibly frustrating, as I've lost some important photos that I thought were saved, including a recent holiday.
Has anyone had this happen? Is there a solution? Would using a third party camera app help?
Edit: I'm not using an SD card. Just internal storage.

Seems it hasn't storage permission or something is breaking that. Are you completely stock?
Backup your data, do a factory reset and install app one by one, to see if any app is breaking that.
That's very weird
