TF201 Keyboard won't charge - Asus Transformer TF700

I traded in my Prime for the Infinity, the keyboard works fine, but won't charge anymore. Is this a power cable difference in machines?
Not going to be happy if I can't have a fully charged keyboard....

The prime & infinity both tablet and Keyboard dock all use the same power cable. Do you see a light on the dock when it is connected on the power cable?

I know they are...but.
No juice going to keyboard or through board to tablet.

Transformer charging?

What will my transformer only charge with the main adaptor? Extenssions dont work (usb) and i have usb debugging on. I cant even use my portable charge, or my cable box ich all work with my cell.

do you have the dock? pretty sure it works fine with mine. wht rom/kernel are you using?
It will charge from the main adapter from a wall plug in. It will charge from the dock. It will SLOWLY trickle charge from usb if the screen is off.
No im on stock have b70 so no root. And no dock

Had it plugged into cable box usb overnight screen off no luck. Its like it only work with its own stuff

Yes...It really only works with its own stuff. Some have claimed to have it charge from usb when it was off but I have never tested it.
Are any other similar devices able to charge through usb? Netbooks or laptops? Usb was not designed to be a big power source. Some hard drives require two usb connectors for just a hard drive.

From what i have read in other threads it has to do with the voltage required and how Asus wired their plug.
Use USB 3.0 cables and it will work fine. Also use a USB 3.0 port on the pc for slow charging.
Usb 3 cable works fine here...

[Q] Dock charging issues?

Anyone seeing a charging issue on the dock?
Here is what I'm seeing. My tablet is at 80% charger...so I plug it into the dock which is at 98% charge..but for some reason the dock doesn't charge the tablet. I reboot the tablet with the dock connected..still the dock doesn't charge the tablet.
I take the tablet out of the dock and reboot then connect it to the dock again then I'm able to see that it is charging correctly.
Anyone else see this issue? I don't know if the problem is the dock or the tablet or the software. I'm assuming that this is software related otherwise it would never charge.
Thoughts?
Same here. Are you plugging into a wall or pc? I found by using the wall charger it fixed the problem.

neither. i'm just trying to let it charge from the dock and it won't do it unless i reboot the tablet separately and then reconnect it to the dock. even if i keep the tablet on the dock and then restart...it still won't charge.
The dock starts charging the tablet when it reaches 70%.

oh i see. but i do think i have a problem with the tablet..i try to charge it directly and now its not charge. it was at 77% without the dock..plugged in the charger and no charging. very strange. but if i connect the tablet to the dock and then charge it then it appears to be fine.

You get 2 Indicators, the battery in the bottom right gets a lightening icon and a sw overlay to show you just plugged it in. The second is that the power button lights up orange.

7.7 won't charge through wall plug

It only charges through USB connected to my computer I have tried 2 different wall chargers and nothing, anyone else have this issue ?

Same Samsung 7.7 cable?
Are the chargers confirmed as working (charges another device)?
Using manufacturer-supplied charger?
Are the chargers plugged into a power strip? If so, is the power strip on?
Both are the original cable that came with the tab tried different outlets i have many different tablets but none that use this Samsung cable so can't test it on another tab, i don't mind charging via USB even though it is slow i was really wondering if anyone else had this problem

Our tablet actually uses an "ID resistor" to distinguish if the cable used is exclusively for data (I'm assuming thats the original cable that you have on hand) or is from the 2 ampere wall adapter. I use the mod found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1675042 to enable fast charging on my GTab7.7 using a non-Samsung 2 ampere wall adapter and the original Samsung data cable.
Hope this helps!
just tried again today and now it charges with the samsung usb cable in an asus transformer wall plug, the original changing cable that came with the tab still doesn't work - oh well at least i dont have to charge by usb anymore

your 1% too high mate lol the dock will only kick in after the tablet drops below 70% mate
LOL! i have this tablet for more then a month and i didn't know that! BUT every widget i use says it is charging and the battery meter is rising! BUT android is not saying it is charging!
EDIT: when i enable always show battery percentage: it shows DIScharging on the lockscreen! (BTW: running aokp)
EDIT2: in the battery section in the settings app it says: 75 - charging! but the lockscreen doesn't so i guess it's just an AOKP bug i just noticed
EDIT3: currently i have a charger plugged in into the dock (in a car) it's around 12V and nothing happens! the tablet still charges trough the dock do! so i assume it is not a hardware issue but it is just not enough power!
EDIT4: now i know the car doesn't give enough power because: the tablet/dock alone doesn't charge!
So in the end: there is nothing wrong with my tablet! i can be really stupid sometimes i really love this tablet and i am afraid something will hapen to it!
