Does anyone know a way to make the facebook status stay after the call starts ringing? I'm talking about the one that scrolls across the bottom of the dialer screen, when placing a call.. Any idea?
When you call someone their facebook status flashes very briefly across the screen, below their picture, but then goes away when it starts ringing. It isn't there long enough for me to read it ever. This is stupid. And there has to be a way to make this last longer..

As the title suggests I am looking for something that will sit on the today screen and not show up unless there is something to display - ie new messages, missed calls, new voicemail, etc... I like empty space and it seems redundant to have bars sitting there telling me "no missed calls". Anyway anyone know of anything like this??
When I have the little pink colored circle show up with the quantity of messages inside of it (1) (2) or whatever the number is, when I hit the messaging icon there is a delay and the phone lag's when it organizes the messages or brings the most recent one to the top.
I basically hit the messaging icon and it takes me to my messages but the phone takes a solid second to organize itself. Essentially the screen show's that no messages are new then it updates after a second and pushes the most recent to the top.
Is anyone else experiencing this? It's annoying as hell.
Also when I send a text, the revolving "please wait" circle is terrible. I am generally typing another text right after I send one, as weird as that sounds, and the "please wait" thing takes a solid second before you can start typing again.
Ouch you are serious? That was main reason I replaced my myTouch 4G and went to a stock android phone.
Actually, use another SMS client, i forget the name, Handcent SMS
I works same, and you won't have any of that lagg of "Please wait"
Hi all,
When I receive an incoming call on my phone, the top third of the screen shows the callers picture. However, the bottom part of the image is cut in half and not scaled to fit the area. The area below this point is all black with just a picture of a phone in a circle at the bottom half of the screen. I then slide the phone to the right to reveal the options to answer the call.
I've not had a nexus before but have ran third party AOSP ROM's and I'm sure the top half used to display the caller picture in full or at least the silhouette person for contacts without pictures rather than cropping them off. I'm also sure that a circle animation used come outwards from the centre of the phone icon when the phone rang to indicate how to answer.
Can someone confirm what I should see when I receive a call as I'm sure mine is not right. Do you see the circle animation on receipt of calls? Here is the screen shot.
Thanks
Steve
Resolved. Factory reset sorted the issue.
This has just started and my OCD is driving me crazy trying to figure it out. For the last year or so everytime I would get a text message the preview would pop up and go away if I didn't choose to view it or close it. Then there would be a envelope symbol on the banner indicating I have an unread text. Now all of a sudden the same thing happens except that the envelope indicator only shows while the pop up window comes on. Then it disappears at the same time as the pop up. So if I unlock my phone I no longer have any indication that I have a missed text unless I go to my home screen and look at the message icon at the bottom of my phone. This is also happening with missed calls. Any ideas?
I have the wake up on gesture setting switched to on. When a notification comes in while driving and the screen turns of, usually when I turn the watch towards my face the notification has disappeared. Is there a way to make the notification longer visible on screen, even after the screen has turned off? It would be so handy if tilting my arm would make the incoming notification visible, even after a minute or so.
there's actually a bug right now(which Samsung refuses to talk about) that instantly dismisses notification pop-ups sometimes and marking them as read.
I had it just now while typing this, with not even 1 second between the notification coming in and me looking at the screen.
I suggest you report it, the more reports the more likely Samsung is going to look into fixing it.
Use bezel ?
