You can try Mantano reader (look for it on the play store). You can highlight and take notes and on top of that it support many formats. You should give it a try (try the lite version first if you wanna and then buy the full version if it is to your liking) .
EzPDF reader will work.

+1... even though i'd much rather see a MOD on our native gmail app that enables that.. or something....
K9 has pinch zoom stuff...
What about where it automatically downloads images?

Just a quick notes app that i can easily put reminders and stuffs in. Better if it can be synced somewhere.
Maybe Evernote?
I use Catch Notes.... have the widget on my home screen..... comes in super handy....

Catch Notes for me.
Mobisle Notes is the best notepad IMO. Try it out, free in the market.
I use the one preinstaled on my Fascinate.
Note Everything.
Tons of options, yet still simple. Great widgets, post-its, shortcuts.

I was an evernote fan on my desktop long before I got an android, and the android app for it is very nice as well.

Another vote for Catch notes (or AK Notepad same dev, but different UI - only text notes vs image/voice/text notes in Catch) which supports syncing to catch.com.
I use the very simple Epistle which is really great with it's dropbox sync
Mobilism notes, because:
- i can use checkboxes (with reminders)
- I can use indents or subnotes
- put notes on the homescreen as widgets (even edit checkboxes from the homescreen)
- automatically sync with google docs (so i can edit the notes on my computer in google docs).
Another good app that I use is: "QuickNote Notepad Notes"
AK notepad looks good. might try it out.
There's a built in text editor in explorer and root explorer. I used to use other apps but those can serve two functions so why not use it? I don't need anything fancy.
i dont really need one but i use jorte because it was the first one i saw and i think it syncs with this calendar im bout to start using
I use ColorNote, been using since. I got my android phone a few years back now. It backs up messages easy to work with and has a few nice features and its free. Check it out

I would like to add overskreen to the list of apps that popup from the bottom bar when you click the upward arrow.
There is an edit button, but it only allows you to remove apps from list, not add more.
Meanwhile i am loving note 10.1 so far... its very usable!

Yeah, unfortunately those miniapps are Samsung specific so unless someone develop a custom ROM that will allow users to add other apps to the mini app list I'm afraid you will not be able to.
A good alternative it's swipe pad. You can add it there.

Why bother? You can set it to appear in your Notifications.

In the over screen browser app settings, there is an option to get it to put there.
My only knock on that browser is that it seems difficult to create folders in your bookmarks and organize them.
Also I am not clear on where it is pulling the default bookmarks it uses from. In one case it lists my Google sync address as if it is pulling my Chrome bookmarks but only pulled one folder out of 10.
Dunno, confusing.
Thats why I use Dolphin. Not the fastest browser but by far easiest to navigate and manage bookmarks.

Finally did it by installing 1 tap quickbar. Added overskreen app to the notification band.
Now I can open floating browser on top of any app!
Awesome!

I would love to get an app for the Note 10.1 that will teach you some simple aspects regarding drawing. There is an app available, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oneglobalapps.draw&hl=en
but it is not available for the Note 10.1. Any other ideas, suggestions, or apps that you all know of? Thanks in advance.
One thing I can think of is using Sketchbook or a similar app and import an image in another layer than the one you're using to draw. You can then adjust the opacity to just so you can barely see the object and play with lines and shadows turning on and off the image layer.

I use SMS Popup. I've tried GO SMS Pro, Handcent, and others. MMS does not work on them (at least not when I tried them). Pictures are always downloaded as movies or something and I have to "play" the file to view the image. It's weird. Maybe it's just me or it's been fixed....might give them another try.
