[Q] Root Desire and which Rom

Hello.
Can someone please tell me how to root htc desire and which rom is currently the best? By best I mean fastest. Or is there any link where are descriptions of roms?

go to this site and read, read, read every step.

replace the rom you want with a rom of your choosing.
also, it pays to read into things before asking others. If you investigated this forum your would find a whole section dedicated to android development for the desire, and guides on how to root and flash new roms. From the sounds of it, you are not quite ready to root your desire. Read up more on the process.

You are referring to custom roms? you will find that with many of the custom roms, they are faster because they are stripped out versions...that will allow you have more options to choose from.
Faster? maybe because many of the gimmicks are gone....I am using DeFroST 5.6 on my HTC Desire at the moment...its faster than the original HTC rom because it doesnt have the HTC applications or the HTC Sense UI...give that a try...pretty happy with it!

i recommend leedroid and install it using rom manager available from the marketplace. or if you dont want htc senc the any of the cyanogenmod roms i.e opendesire

[Request] Can someone give us porting guide to Desire S?

This is my request but i'm sure that more users will like to know how to port other roms to our Desire S.There is only few guys who do something here and with this guide we can get more...hope so...
Can someone give us step by step guide how to port?

In my opinion this is not the question to us but rather to VenomTeam,
or the dev of a specific rom you wish to port
because it is their permission you seek rather than ours,
If you mean technical aspect- unless you try it, you/ we'll not know
Edit: i've seen htc wildfire running ics- not without a glitch- but still....
so, thinking the same way why htc rhyme wouldn' be able to run sense 4 rom...
but this is my assumption only ( i wouldn't quote me as if that was true- beyond doubt )
Rhyme's tech. spec are very similar to saga's ..... ( when we speak about bliss naturally )

just wondering if I can port since there is no custom rom for rhyme.bcause this phone is for ladies.
but if can port maybe I can make some to people out there

Htc one s s3 viperones

I was looking everywere to find a port of the viper Rom on htc one s s3 but I didn't find anythink .... Plz tell me that there exist one I want so much the viper Rom becouse of the tweaks that they have and the skins and icon pack so plz help me

Torxx has started to make one, but (i think) he stopped developing for the villec2. You could ask him.
For some month there was a ported viper rom, but the porter wasn´t allowed to port it.

torxx tried to port it to JB base but with no luck
i did some testing for him but since he doesn't have phone it was hard to work on it and development has stopped.

HTC Sensation XE

Hi guys,
I have two htc sensation xe which i rooted. i want to install Android 4+ but i am not sure if this section is usable for HTC sensation xe i am bit confused here with difference of XE. Kindly include Link for the page/rom build.
Hope to get some proper good help here.

All ROMs in this section are compatible with Sensation/XE/4G. They are all the same device under different branding. Just pick a ROM you like and flash it.
