This is a Rehost of all the kernals ever made for the SK4g I am not responsable for what happens to your phone when you flash these. Some i know only work with older firmware so you may need to flash stock or older roms to use them. The original threads still exist i recomend looking for them and reading the info i just am piling them together due to dead links.

I dont believe there is one now i think there working on cwm right now with gb.

Maybe?
Try the Bali 2.1 kernel
Bali 2.1 works with GB? i thought it was a froyo kernel only

it wouldn't work with gb. can't flash anyways. no cwm.
Until there is source for the GB kernel there won't be support for this.
I made a thread asking about bali on gb krylon said bali is a froyo kernal.

there is a modified kf1 kernel made by chainfire, and according to chainfire the only reason why it wont flash onto our GB rom is because of the encrypted bootloaders
Okay, so I'm on stock 2.2.1 with root. I've never flashed this phone, but I've flashed some friends different androids for them. I was wondering what the best rom is right now, and anything else that I need to do like kernals or tweaks to make my phone as badass as possible. Can anyone help me?

Valhalla is your best bet.
I believe you need to flash GB bootloaders first as well as honks kernel for GB ROM's. There's plenty of wonderful guides in the dev section. The one by FB is probably the best.
Good luck.
The GB starter guide is ths one he is referring to.
Its all up to you which ROM you want. Miui is pretty hot right now. Valhalla is great and so is audiophile

Best ROM Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1266320
Kernels: drhonk's Froyo and GB kernels
Tweaks: I think all of the GB ROMs are optimized now. The only tweak for GB is SASv7 beta by dsexton702. As for Froyo, there's a lot more tweaks. ICBINB KD1 has all of them. I'm not sure about Audiophile, although I'm sure it does. Black Ice and Bionix Frost are pretty basic though.
Just be sure to read the Bible. Flashing on this phone is very different.
I love bionix frost. It was so fun to tweak because it is super stable

Hey guys, im here just to ask, what roms are you guys using. I'm personally using Octane, (has a nice ics theme) with adrenaline shot, and the Bali kernel.
You aren't using Bali kernel with Octaine.
There is another thread about ROM's people are using. Read before posting.

Was there never a Bali for KG2? I recetly tried to flash that rooted/kernaled KJ2 and it bricked my phone. I had to odin back to KG2 and re-root. I have found KG2 to be much more stable than any of the 5 or so KJ2 roms I have been running over the past 6mos.

I think the Bali kernels that don't have a specific firmware number work on KG2

Can I flash the Infusion Kernel 1.8 onto Emancipation A: 1? For all intensive purposes I'm asking if the kernel can be flashed onto any rom.
I don't want to ask a stupid or noob question but, I haven't been able to find my answer anywhere. When I first started the rooting/flashing a rom process I was gonna go with Zeus Z-TR which I believe has voltage control built into it. After a bit of reading I settled on Emancipation but, I still wanna be able 2 OC/UV.
Also, I'm wondering about the beats audio that is built into the Z-TR rom. Is that because it comes with 1.8 kernel?
So, if someone can answer that question I would really appreciate it a lot.
I'd just flash the new synthesis kernel and as long as you're on gingerbread, you can flash another GB kernel you wish

I'm thinking Infusion is Froyo and Emancipation is GB. If those facts are correct, then NO, you can not

Thanks for the answers. After looking into it some more its safe to say I'm stuck without OC/UV since its GB.
If youre on gb, flash the synthesis kernel. Its oc/uv with working mhl on gb.

I'll not familiar with synthesis.....must be new within the last year.
There are several kennels named infusion. The one you (op) mentioned was Froyo.
But developer/member Zen has two GB kernels named Infusion that allow overclock...Zen's Infusion A and Zen's Infusion B. 1600 for A and 1400 for B
