[Q] Kf1 voodoo kernel???? - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

I am currently running GB on my SGS4G T959V, its rooted and overclocked. All that is missing is voodoo sound! Its telling me my kf1 kernel is unsupported, i would like to know if there's a way to get another kernel that is supported. Thanks in Advance!

I dont believe there is one now i think there working on cwm right now with gb.

Maybe?
Try the Bali 2.1 kernel

Bali 2.1 works with GB? i thought it was a froyo kernel only

it wouldn't work with gb. can't flash anyways. no cwm.

Until there is source for the GB kernel there won't be support for this.

I made a thread asking about bali on gb krylon said bali is a froyo kernal.

there is a modified kf1 kernel made by chainfire, and according to chainfire the only reason why it wont flash onto our GB rom is because of the encrypted bootloaders

[Q] Voodoo on KG4?

When i had KD1 rooted, Voodoo worked perfectly, but as i transitioned through KF1 it still worked. Then KF2 and KG4, it says no voodoo support kernel? Should i flash the Bali kernel to get voodoo to work, also does the SGS Kernel Flasher in the market work for our device?
our phone doesn't have any custom kernels for gingerbread

Thanks, do we flash these on top of KH2 ROM??
Can this be flashed over Kg6?
For froyo only, I believe.

You never need fugu tweaks on GB cause we get them from GB, so yes, Froyo only. I don't think the files have changed between builds but you can check yourself. Get the app_process from kg6 onto your computer and run diff on the kg6 files and the kh2 files and you'll know if they're the exact same.

[Q] MHL (TV out functionality) not working on Zeus?

My Infuse after being rooted and flashed Zeus 5.1 loses its MHL's functionality. I'm new to Infuse and Zeus so this might be an existing problem. Is there anyway we could get MHL working again?
Thanks, devs!

MHL does Not work on any recent GB custom roms! This has been stated LONG time ago. Only works on froyo. To get it to work the Devs need an official GB to drop

the problem isn't the rom its the kernel. You can use the bionix biui build 3 kernel if You use sgs kernel flasher. You will lose cwm and lagfix. remember to disable lagfix and reboot once before flashing.

Trying to flash a kernel

I am currently running Infused 1.60. In the about section it says Kernel version 2.6.32.9. When I flash another kernel like defuse or community the about section still says 2.6.32.9. Why didn't it change ? I disabled lagfix before flashing. I tried with CWM and odin.
Thanks
Some here what did u use to flash?
oh ya got a stock gb kernel?

[Q] Flashing a new kernel onto an existing rom

Can I flash the Infusion Kernel 1.8 onto Emancipation A: 1? For all intensive purposes I'm asking if the kernel can be flashed onto any rom.
I don't want to ask a stupid or noob question but, I haven't been able to find my answer anywhere. When I first started the rooting/flashing a rom process I was gonna go with Zeus Z-TR which I believe has voltage control built into it. After a bit of reading I settled on Emancipation but, I still wanna be able 2 OC/UV.
Also, I'm wondering about the beats audio that is built into the Z-TR rom. Is that because it comes with 1.8 kernel?
So, if someone can answer that question I would really appreciate it a lot.
I'd just flash the new synthesis kernel and as long as you're on gingerbread, you can flash another GB kernel you wish

I'm thinking Infusion is Froyo and Emancipation is GB. If those facts are correct, then NO, you can not

Thanks for the answers. After looking into it some more its safe to say I'm stuck without OC/UV since its GB.
If youre on gb, flash the synthesis kernel. Its oc/uv with working mhl on gb.

I'll not familiar with synthesis.....must be new within the last year.
There are several kennels named infusion. The one you (op) mentioned was Froyo.
But developer/member Zen has two GB kernels named Infusion that allow overclock...Zen's Infusion A and Zen's Infusion B. 1600 for A and 1400 for B
