Anyone managed to overclock Leak #2 - Motorola Atrix 2

I've tried to flash the 2 OC zip on the SCV7 post but i cannot get it to work. I was on leak #1 and this was working great. I solved the root problem but now i cannot get this to work. I've digged on that post but have had no luck. Anyone managed to OC?

Overclock Kernel for Wanted/Khal's Rom

Hello XDA-ers,
I was curious if anyone was able to overclock Khal's or the Wanted ROM.
I tried using Milestone Overclock which worked on Dexter's, but it says "Failed to load module."
I tried using the search function but the kernels i came across only mentioned dexter's rom, but it doesn't mention Khal's or the Wanted rom.
If anyone got Milestone Overclck to work on those two roms; what did you guys do?
Thank you,
lilhugo
for khalpower's rom, you need to use milestone overclock 1.4.4 instead of 1.4.7. another option is to apply this patch made by mioze --> http://db.tt/OiiPKb3
and you will get sdcard/oc-settings working,

[Q] XOOM, Got to 3.2.2, looking for advice on overclocking?

Hi,
I know there are instructions on overclocking, but they involve flashing with older files, so I'm a bit scared.
I managed to successfully upgrade my Xoom to 3.2.2 as per the instructions at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1242524
(FYI: I also had the WiFi issue, I got around it by first installing the Hammerhead ROM, then going to the 3.2.2 stock ROM - using ClockworkMod 3.2.0.0 R4c and the 1.0 version of the ROM - hope that helps someone else).
So far, I'm all good. Now I'd like to overclock this.
Any advice?
Thank you,
Justin

Download either SETCPU or CPU Master and have at it. Just don't have it set on boot til you are sure the new clock speed is stable.

If you go with the tiamat 2.2 moray rom you will be able to overclock from the custom tiamat settings found in the android settings menu. Along with some other additions the option to overclock is built into the rom with the custom kernel. No need to use a app like setcpu.

Hi,
I tried setcpu, it only allows me to set the CPU up to 1000MHz, so I presume I need to do something to set it higher, like flash a kernel or something?
So is it possible for me to overclock on the stock 3.2.2 ROM, or can I only do it with Moray?
If I flash with Moray, and overclock, can I then flash up to the 3.2.2 stock?
Thanks for the replies,
Justin

Sorry, I assumed you had installed a rom or kernel that could overclock. It's not possible on stock.
Also, with a downloaded governor like I mentioned, you can set profiles to save battery, etc.
Thanks again,
Maybe I should flash the Moray ROM so, I like the 3.2.2 one, but not sure what additional benefits I'm getting with it as its only WiFi, I'll never use 4G.

I just can't understand why the fuss over HC3.2.2. As you say, it's for 4G.
Plus stock anything is just pure boredom-inducing IMHO.
OK, that clinches it - I'm flashing to Moray
Thanks a mill for the advice, saved me hours of messing around,
J
Hi, whats the story with 3G after installing Hammerhead ROM ? Does 3G work properly? Just wondering about is as you wrote that u have some wifi issues as well...
Im looking forward to overclock my one but am curiouse if 3G works all right ?

Blades 2 Kernel

I give up trying to look for this - I've searched Google AND here, no dice. My TF is RMA status'd ATM, but I was playing around with this kernel on my husband's TF and I noticed it defaults to 1544. I know my TF (when I get it back) can't handle over 1400. I know the voltages are increased at higher clock speeds on this kernel, but will flashing it get me stuck in an endless bootloop? If so, wtf do I do? Nvflash, I guess?
I would ask this question in the kernel's thread, but it seems to not exist. The only thread in Dev is the kernel from August, not the updated Blades 2 from October. Am I missing something? I know there's a fine line between Dev and QA, so I don't want to step on any toes anyway, but it seems more appropriate for that section since it is kernel-specific.
Anyway, if anyone knows the answer, please let me know, and if someone could point me toward a thread, that would also be marvelous.
Thanks!

Well first of all it depends what rom you are on, if you are on revolver or stock i would recomend blades 2 kernal (i average about 1520) and if you do get boot loop just download an NVflashable rom (prime or revolver i have had good luck with both. Next download a setcpu or a overclocking app. There are many different kernal out (blades, clemsyn) have any questions? Just pm me and i will help you out here is a thread that might help you a little more: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1109630
Sent from my revolver!
if you use script fusion and set your min/max clock speed, when you load blades kernel it shouldnt change your min/max on you (didnt for me when changing from blades to clemys to blades v2) plus its a script, which is always better than an app imho...

if it does and you bootloop, load revolver 3.2.3 through nvflash. Maybe if you ask him blade would give you a stock speed version?

Not able to overclock rooted Tf101 with ANY kernel

Im extremely frustrated...Ive been trying to OC my Tf101 for days now w/ no success. Ive tried several ROMs + kernel(s) and now Ive tried FROZN 1.0.9 because I heard they do GREAT work and the ROM is supposed to include a Guevor Kernel allowing OC, I think to 1.7.
I rooted w/ ViperMOD Prime (latest ver)
I installed CWM (5.5.0.4 I think, latest ver)
I flashed:
[ROM] FROZN 1.0.9 █Apr. 2 2012█ 9.2.2.3 █ ICS for TF █Super-Optimized█ Guevor Kernel
...but when I use the included NoFrills CPU app it will only allow me to clock to 1.000?
What am I possibly missing or not understanding? Is the a Tf101 that is simply NOT capable of OC?
ANY ideas would greatly be appreciated...I am sooo anxious to OC because everyone seems to be doing so with great success.
Thanks all.

The kernel included with frozn only goes to 1.2ghz and the default clock is 1ghz
Ics testy meh sio init.d kernel goes to 1.6 i would try that one
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium HD app
ok mate...that one sounds a bit better to me for the final number, however I cant get mine to clock past 1.000 at all. Ive tried ROMs + kernel(s) and Ive tried ROMs w/ kernel included, install goes fine but when I try to OC w/ CPU app, it only goes to 1.000.
I thought I was reading someone else w/ this problem and the issue revolved around a botched recovery flash or something?...but I cant seem to find that thread again. I did try to unsuccessfully flash back to stock ASUS recovery a while back, didnt work (CWM was still present afterwards). Wonder if that is creating an issue of some kind?...although I am struggling to imagine what one would have to do w/ the other.
Thanks for the reply mate...Im willing t listen to ANY ideas at this point!
"The kernel included with frozn only goes to 1.2ghz and the default clock is 1ghz"
BTW...wanted to check on the FROZN OC kernel abilities...the latest FROZN ver sets CPU default at 1.2 and allows OC to 1.7. But anyhow, only allowed me 1.000 default and no OC.
Yeah I'm on frozen oc'd at 1.4. Your issue is weird I've never heard of that before. What happens if you select anything higher than 1.0, do you get an error or anything?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
I dont even get the option to go higher than 1.000.
UPDATE: apparently this inability to OC the kernel in any way is happening to those of us experiencing the CWM bootloop issue...so since the loader goes immediately to CWM it never runs the flashed kernel.
So in these forums is a thread to fix the CWM bootloop and if you follow the instructions carefully, you fix the bootloop and thus allowing the flashed kernels a chance to actually install. I chose the Roach method which you can install the code using Terminal Emulator pretty intuitively. I didnt choose the other method because I didnt want to mess w/ setting up an ADB terminal on my PC, which seemed MUCH more difficult.
So...now FINALLY
ViperMOD Prime rooted
ClockworkMOD Touch Recovery 5.8.8
FROZN 1.0.9 ROM (w/ built-in Guevor kernel @ 1.2 default) and am OCd @ 1.54 (np's at all so far, lightning fast, havent even tried 1.6 or 1.7).
Only issue so far is File Manager app crashes on startup...which isnt good because now the other file manager app I tried doesnt see my ext_SDcard...the stock File Manager did.

Overclock up to 1.6 - 1.7ghz
I just share with u how i overclock my tf101 upto 1.7ghz with stock rom....ALL ASUS APPS IS WORKING
- i root my device with ViperMod prime v5.4 (choose option 1)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427125
- then, install rom manager from android market (to flash clockworkmod recovery). i am using standard recovery, not the touch recovery...u all can try if u want.for me its doesn't matter.
http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
-lastly, i flash the kernel 9b(by using clockworkmod recovery)...u can get the latest kernel from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1565519
- currently, i can overclock my tf101 up to 1.7ghz with beloved stock rom..
- antutu benchmark 76++....
hopefully its helpful......enjoy your enthusiant tf101 speed...
I cant talk from experience, but Ive read at several places that ROM manager is NOT recommended to use.
How, when or why I do not know. Theres another app thats recommended for the TF, simply called "recovery installer". Its listed in the epic noob guide.
As I said, Ive only read that rommanager isnt recommended for the tf.

Need Kernel for Note i717 ICS 4.04

I recently went back to the Stock 4.0.4 Rom after trying out the new 4.1.2.
I find it to be a little unstable and it drains battery life.
I still have the downloaded copy of Padawan 5.1.
But i cannot find the Kernel i installed along with it. I do not remember the name of the kernel, but it was on the Padawan download page. That page is no longer available. Can someone post a link to a Kernel that will allow me to overclock at around 1.82 that is stable.
Thank you.

Let me check on my pc, I think I still have the download in my folder. I'll get back...
Actually I think that build had the oc kernal already installed. After you flash the rom, just download setcpu or whatever overclocking app you so choose and you should be able to overclock @ 1.89Mhz (or whatever the max is)
I think that was a UCLF6 build. Check out this website... rootgalaxynote.com I think there is the v6 and v8 and maybe even v9 ICS builds.
