just wanted some input as to which would be a recommended radio.
I recently flashed the Elegancia Rom Series: V1.4.2: 24th Dec but have noticed that I am getting very poor reception.
Not sure if this a weather problem or just coincidence but wanted to try another radio but this is where I get stumped as to which one to try.
Current details from phone are:
Baseband: 10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2
Build number: 2.08.401.1 CL168617 release-keys
and if its needed, Kernel:
2.6.35-gc35910f

I don't understand RIL and RUU etc hence why I am asking for recomendations.
When I am in my PC room I normally have 'H' with at least 2 signal bars, at the moment I have just 2 signal bars with no 3G or H and unable to connect to the market.
Thanks in advance for any advice given.

Hi,
The best radio is the one that works.
Did your signal work before you installed the latest ROM?
You are on 10.15.
Can you remember what the signal was like on 10.14?
If you want to change back,10.14 is HERE

Thanks for the speedy reply.
To be honest I never really took much notice as to what Radio was on the phone. I would just flash a new rom and be done with it. It seems that since I upgraded to Elegancia Rom Series: V1.4.2 I noticed my signal was poor.
I have flashed the radio from the link you supplied and I now have 4 green bars instead of 3 orange so I suppose that could be classed as an improvement but still no 3G or H.
The only option I can see now is revert back to the previous build of the Elegancia Rom Series and see what difference that makes.
While my radio seems to be working, I don't know if any other would work better or give me faster speeds. I have TMobile USA in a 3/4g area, InsertCoin 3.4.4, and 10.58.9035.00P_10.15.9035.02_2. What is considered best for TMobile?
Hi folks, after reading these forums for the past few weeks I finally debranded my Vodafone SGS2. However, I have some questions.
1) What is the latest UK Generic firmware? I installed what I though was the latest UK XEU firmware, but the phone is now running Android 2.3.4 instead of the 2.3.5 version it had previously with the Vodafone firmware.
2) I was under the impression that after installing a stock generic firmware, I would be able to update OTA or with Kies. Is this wrong? I certainly cant get mine to update past 2.3.4
3) Can you please look at my details and see what i've done wrong?
Thanks in advance folks

Please help, I'm totally out of my depth here. I've read all the guides but cant find any definitive answers. All I want is an unbranded phone that is running the latest firmware and is upgradable via Kies.
I'd also like to know what the latest undranded UK S2 ROM is. I've just got one simfree from carphone warehouse and it's on 2.3.4. My friend has one on Orange network and he's on 2.3.5! Tried to update via KIES but says I'm on the latest version.
Thanks

Hello all;
I just recently bought an Unlocked phone XperiaGo ST27a (working with different simcards from different operators).
Model Number: ST27a
Android Version: 2.3.7
Kernel Version: [email protected]#1
Build Number: 6.0.B.3.184
I read the post of munjeni:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1888247
Some one knows if this post steps also works for ST27a model? (the post refer to ST27i)
Is there a way to just root the phone without flash the kernel (or this is not possible)?
The thing is I want to root the phone, but I don’t want to lose the 3G capability for my region if I do the steps for ST27i.
Sorry for newbie question.
Thanks in advanced.

Hi all,
I purchased a used Google Pixel phone here in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and it is GCC variant (Middle East) running following build:
- Android 8.1.0
- Build Number OMP1.171019.021
- Kernel 3.18.70-g0de8712 (gcc version 4.9.x-google 20140827 (prerelease)(GCC))
Now I do know that Verizon variants of Pixel have the same "Connect to the internet or contact your carrier" displayed in Developer options so is this variant also similar to Verizon? I did try phone reset with and without SIM card but no use. Is there a way to perhaps unlock the bootloader, somehow?

If it is greyed out it is not possible. There is a guy on Facebook that can do it, but I think it costs money and it is kinda sketchy

Of course that is sketchy!
But could the device still be rooted? Even if the bootloader is locked?

Without the bootloader unlocked you cannot root.
