This is gonna sound real dumb I know but......has anyone tried entering no password? In other words, just hit Enter? Or maybe using the word "password" as the password?

No problem...!
This kind of things happen..I am not that expert but can advise on the basis of what i gained from xda website.
If you can go in recovery and download means not much serious thing.
FIRST TRY TO RESTORE YOUR SYSTEM FROM RECOVERY BY USING YOUR OLD BACKED UP .
if not then follow steps below:
1. I would recommend you to download fresh odin3V1.85
2. Download steady honeycomb version of your region from
3. From recovery clear delvic cache/factory reset/ and all stuff.
4. Enter download mode and do all the flashing once again. Make sure your power to usb post is ok. I have observed old laptops or pcs just disconnect for a second or so and again reconnect. If this happens while flashing then you come to this stage.
Hope it will solve your problem.
If not other experts are still out there on XDA developers website.......
Don;t panic.
Enjoy with XDA developer's website.
Ashwin

Hi niceashwin79,
thank you very much for your short tutorial.
!NICE! Ashwin
But I already sent it to Samsungsupport. ( BTW. Couldnt wipe anyway, it always stucked, also tried to flash serial roms)
It was returned yesterday, with 3.2 Open Austria and AUT (Swizz) CSC.
So I flashed 4.0.4 Open Austria and became XEO CSC.
But the return to ATO (Austria, the right CSC) was with CSC Selecter for SG1 SG2 and Note from the Market quite easy.
The third party Samsung support company exchanged the motherboard.
However my UMTS/3G-module is not working anymore. I didnt test it with the 3.2, but I guess, it didnt work, too.
The Tab does not recognize the SIM, no message, nothing.
Besides that I have a full nandroidbackup of 4.0.4 with AUT CSC BEFORE the brick.
(Loading this backup after changing CSC from AUT to ATO probably bricked my Tab.
I would be very pleased and thankfull if anywone is able to help me,
thanks in advance
EDIT: I have a small update for you.
If you go to the tab "security" you can deactivate/change the SIM's password. Both actions register my device in the network. Every reboot is the same, so the problem is not fixed yet but kind of sloved.
Still looking for a perfect solution,
greetings Lipi

Making a PDA tar.md5 file

Hi everybody. Three days ago, my phone company, movistar, updated our firmware version. I had tested lots of firmwares and roms and I have always had bugs with push notifications, such as gmail, gtalk, whatsapp, and also with gps, bluetooth, etc.
This last firmware is composed of:
PDA: KP6
PHONE: KPN
CSC: KP5 (XEC)
In a spanish forum, we have been working hard to fix push notifications bug, and now, with this fw, combined with UtterChaosTeam Kernel v4, we fixed it and now it works for everybody... Also wifi, gps, bluetooth, and battery life work amazingly. This fw gets 2800 points in AnTuTu Benchmark and is very very smooth (only with tweaks and fuss script)
¿Where is the problem then?
We would like to post that firmware in xda-developers, so that everybody could test it and make roms for it but we don't have the PDA file. We have a backup that a guy from that phone company (movistar) made from his mobile, so the way we installed it was the following:
1) Install clean KPQ
2) Install UtterChaos kernel v4
3) Copy the backup to sdcard/clockworkmod/backup
4) Start in recovery. Select restore that backup
5) Factory reset
6) Restore our own efs folder.
How can I make a PDA file to share that firmware with the xda-community?
I would like you to help me, this is the greatest firmware we have ever had I think...
Thank you very much.

dude, why don't u upload the same backup file/s in a zip folder. let me try the same way.
Do we have to use the movistar firmware? Have you tried it with kpq and doomlord's UtterChaosTeam Kernel v4 ? Does it not work?
can share zip file?
Sorry for the delay guys. The original backup is from a guy in the spanish forum. He is a noob and he made the backup file without deleting his personal data, such as passwords, accounts, etc, so I did a hard reset from that one. This is the result:
http://www.multiupload.com/1DNCN0P29W
1) Flash clean KPQ
2) Flash UtterChaos kernel v4
3) Introduce that backup into sdcard/clockworkmod/backup
4) Start into recovery> backup/restore> restore> select that file
5) Hard reset.
Then, if you can, tell me if notifications are working or not.
I am still trying to make a PDA file for this... Thank you guys!!
I hope work on all SCL
C'mon guys, post your feedback
Plz. Don't install deodex, because them " push" no work in deep sleep.
Enviado desde mi GT-I9003 usando Tapatalk
KPQ>KRNELV4>backup/restore> restore you file>hard reset
Correct?
Will restoring the backup does it remove your efs folder? original IMEI intact? If not you should warn other users to back it up first and restore it later!
Anyone tried this method
Guys, I am sorry to say that, as my partners in the spanish forum, after two days, notification bug still exist in this firmware. However, this is a very very smooth firmware with an amazing battery life, so when we are able to do a PDA file we will upload it so that everybody can test it.
Sorry for the news and thank you for your time.
The backup does not modify the EFS, but, it's good to back it up by the way for future modifications...
Thanks to the freewill that use to have that godblessed device (lol), there are some partners have stopped notifications to work, some others we still notifications working.
The very good thing is to anybody out of spain goes to check this firmware to let see if works in foreign devices

[Completed] softbricked galaxy s4

hey guys, i was trying to domestic unlock an sph-l720 galaxy s4. I followed a lot of different threads here and i felt like I was getting pretty close when i soft bricked my phone. My original modem was the L720VPUGOK3 (running lollipop 5.0.1), i used odin to flash the MDC modem. then (using odin) i rooted my phone. basically i got everything up until i started following this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2530610
which, i got up to step 12) where it tells you to add the lines
ril.sales_code=LOL
ro.csc.sales_code=LOL
then when i tried to reboot, it got to the galaxy s4 screen then went black. usually after that screen it goes to a samsung screen then a sprint screen. I can hook it up to my comp and Odin will recognize it, but no matter what i flash (i've tried re-flashing MDC and root) nothing works. i can also boot it into download mode and recovery mode, i tried doing a factory reset, but that didn't help either. i now no longer have CWM though and so when i go to recovery boot i see this :
android system recovery <3e>
LRX22C.L720VPOGOH1
With the options
reboot now
apply update from ADB
apply update from external storage
apply update from cache
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
reboot to bootloader
power down
view recovery logs
enable cp logging
disable cp logging
and i am now lost as to what to do...
update: ok so after about 5 hrs of googling, i have managed to pull my build.prop file. oddly enough i didn't see the two lines i supposedly wrote.
i used build.prop.editor app from google play but i supposed i didn't know what i was doing and didn't actually write them in the first place. so now i'm really lost, since i don't know what my problem is. i'm also having trouble finding a build.prop file to download for cross-reference. any suggestions would be great
update2: ok, after a few more hrs of searching every forum and post i could find, i managed to flash a whole new rom (using odin) onto my s4 with the thought that if i coud just get my phone to reboot, then i could go through the system update over wifi, problem now is that i'm can't turn on wifi. i can press the button but it just goes straight back to off. And since i can't use my sim, i have no way of updating it to my original rom from the phone (which i'm still only guessing is possible). i couldn't find my original rom, so i guess i'll just keep flashing new ones til i find one that works. any suggestions would be appreciated.

I tried to flash stock firmware, i downloaded two firmware of INU region (India)
everytime i get the following error on odin,
(Above pic for reference only. im using odin v3.09 and latest)
I tried flashing with PIT files, it didnt work.
I tried flashing TWRP, CWM it flashes recovery but when i go to recovery then still philz is there.
I searched on many forums and Googled, and i came to know that my /data and /sdcard is corrupted. but i can access the content /sdcard from recovery and i can view my files.
I tried flashing other custom rom. It flashes them without any error but when i reboot my Tab its not flashed. its same.
What to do please help me.
Ok so after doing so mush research on this on xda, gsm-hosting, google, etc....
i came to a conclusion that the emmc is corrupted or right protected (Means It has become read only). which is why we are unable to flash through odin or through recovery. even if the flash is successful then after reboot the TAB returns to the earlier state i.e same rom, bootloop and recovery.
so there are three way you can fix it:
1. change motherboard, which is very costly. on ebay it was 13k (India). dont know about local shops or service center. but im sure it will be more or less same.
2. Change emmc. ask the repair guy to change the buggy emmc to a new one. buy the emmc from alibaba online store or other online stores if you cant find it offline.
3. You can get back the same tab to work by directly flashing the stock rom directly to emmc. This process involves soldering the pins of the tab and flashing directly on to the chip using a box called ATF (Advance turbo flasher). This process is little advance, one can do it if you know what pins to solder (You can get the idea from youtube & gsm hosting), but buying atf box would be costly. costlier than the emmc replacement. now if you want to experiment and learn you can go buy a atf and revive your dead tab (it will be called The walking dead. ).
:)
so i am replying to my own thread so that if any body is comes searching for the same gets to know what happened and what to do next.
BTW Android_Andi has done some great research on this he tried every possible thing but unfortunately it didnt work. Thanks to him for his time and effort.
and if anybody figures out how to fix it without using atf box please do post and let me know. because im keeping my dead tab with me and if someone knows any alternate way i can fix mine too. who knows anything can happen.

Galaxy s6 - I messed up and now i cannot install the firmware lol

So.. i was attempting to remove the google authentication bs from my phone. found a thread that told me to download Odin, and install this file..
COMBINATION_TMB_FA50 xxxx
I checked before "doing" this and my phone was branded as " G920TUVU5FQK1 "
I should also note, that i re-downloaded that "combination file" crap.. "COMBINATION_TMB_FA50_G920TUVU5APJ1_TMBFAC_CL6309376_QB11118299_REV02_user_mid_noship.tar" -- Which - when i looked it up was supposed to be for "G920TUVU5FQK1" system.
however, when i load the phone up now,, it says the Factory Binary loadup screen.. and now shows the phone as " G920TUVU6ARA1 "
rofl
So i looked everywhere. Went to the dumb site and downloaded my actual firmware 9for the QK1) -
G920TUVU5FQK1_G920TTMB5FQK1_G920TUVU5FQK1_HOME.tar.md5
I open Odin as admin, load in the AP section, annnnnnd this is what happens.

So now im a little frustrated... Not sure what to do.
I have used 2 different cables when connecting the computer, installed the samsung usb drivers etc.. i just cant solve this and now im asking for help.
(please provide any links you can to further help me with my problem!!!)
How screwed am i? how can i fix this? ( i do have a 2nd computer i can attempt some stuff on.)
Thanks
idk this is still works but u should try
Testing now
Video did not help,. the smart app thing didnt even give me an option to factory data reset it.
I dont know what to do. I have no idea why the phone says this new PDA, clearly i installed a combination file that was for a diff PDA.
Can anybody help. Odin just Fails, Fails Fails Fails.
bump!
I dont know what to do anymore -=(
When i connect the phone to my computer and "Turn it on on" it makes my computer blue screen of death rofl.
in download mode it doesnt though.
bump - last attempt before a take a hammer to it =)
It's unlikely due to the PDA (it's just an OS revision). Can you link us to the location where you downloaded the file ? I guess it is the content of that package that caused trouble on your phone.
Try to flash the latest firmware available (you can download it through the SamFirm software or from SamMobile.com).
Well ironically out of the 9 (nine) AP downloads i tried, all failed... but when i downloaded a stock firmware which had 4 files - it got to like 95%. and stayed there for about an hour ( not sure if thats normal?? or if i should have left it in?)
I honestly have been trying to find that exact 4 file download for my PDA version or w.e. (since this version was for a completely diff PDA - i assume thats why it stopped at 95%)
15 hours later the download is like 90% complete lol. I really... really hope this stupid downlod is not a single AP file again sigh..
Does anybody have a reccomendation for the G920TUVU5FQK1 system? ( all 4 files included )
ive googled my ass off only to find ripoff password protected .rars and "make an account to download. but on wait now you have to pay bull****"
Once i unplugged it at 95% - it now says that the OS cannot load - so thats a good sign, the Factory Binary bull**** is off of it.
I just need toget my hands on the correct 4 file .rar (all 4 files for odin) and im square.)
Much appreciated.
Hello.
Would anybody be willing to help me. I am begging here, over 3 weeks without my phone, i dont know what to do.
I would very much like it if somebody could LINK me a legit link to a Galaxy S6 920T Stock Firmware ( ALL 4 files... not just 1)
Every time i freaking find one.... i download it... it asks for a password to extract the gd .rar =(
Please help me!!!

Samsung galaxy sm j727p - (boost mobile)

Hey there everyone,
I have a Samsung Galaxy SM J727P (Boost Mobile) - I am not quite sure what happened; however I sometimes power my phone off by pulling the battery. This time... at the very wrong time or the right time. I am guessing it was doing a system update; however I didn't select that and didn't get a notification.
When I powered it back up, it gave me an error and wouldn't boot.
I since then accidentally pressed some buttons and the screen loaded Android Recovery screen. I would flash it with ODIN however I don't want to lose any data. My SIM Card has my contacts I believe for the most part. I would like to save as much as possible.
Does anyone have any ideas what this error could mean for my data situation? I never once rooted this phone or changed stock ROM.
Here it is: (Also has cracked screen from running it over with my car):

peter couniaz,
Would you agree that "J727PVPU6BSF2" would be the next version to flash it to correctly from the existing J727PVPU4BRK4 version of firmware?
I found the following direct links to the above mentioned firmware:

Thank you again peter,
I was able to solve this by doing as you said and using the following firmware:
samfrew dot com/download/Galaxy__J7__Perx__/tadn/BST/J727PVPU4BRK4/J727PSPT4BRK4/
NOTE: If you are using Boost Mobile and an American like myself; Don't hesitate using Regional Firmware: (BST). It's the Boost Mobile Branding that's the true differential.
I flashed with ODIN revision Current.13 and it worked wonderfully!
