[Q] Disable wallpaper resize? - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When you try to use a wallpaper from the device's galery on 4.0.3/4, ICS makes you resize the image so it fits your horizontal and vertical display when rotating the tablet.
However, preinstalled wallpapers are set as they are and don't need any kind of resize.
Is there any way of disabling the prompt for resize or installing the wallpaper like the preinstalled ones?

Wallpaper App?

Does anyone know of an advanced wallpaper app, or possibly a mod for the gallery available? I'm looking for something that maybe when cropping an image as a wallpaper adds lines for the center home screen in the crop box, and/or possibly can create a wallpaper that only takes up the Center home screen. I sometimes use the non scrolling wallpaper option in Launcher pro, so a narrower image would also suffice.

[Q] Not liking the 3.1 wallpaper cropping. Any alternatives?

The new wallpaper cropping in Gallery that comes with the 3.1 update is damn near infuriating. When trying to set a full image as a wallpaper, the double rectangle that they force on you leaves alot of the image inaccessable.
I've already tried Gallery 3D from the market, but setting wallpapers from it doesn't seem to take.
Anyone have another option they know to work?

set wallpaper without cropping

Unable to set wallpaper without cropping a portrait-ready-made-wallpaper, it's annoying because i made the wallpaper myself, in the settings (in this case Trebucher launcher) i made sure i deselected scrolling wallpaper, wallpaper is 720x1280 and if it's cropped it's made smaller and doesn't fit the screen like it should, are they any apps that fix that? i found an app the other day but i uninstalled it since the icon sucked and wanted to get rid of it.

[Q] Scaling wallpapers for the Droid Razr HD

Does anyone know the dimensions for the Droid Razr HD wallpapers? I'm trying to scale my favorite wallpapers that I have for use on the phone
This is a great question, I'd like to know the answer to this as well. I've seen screenshots 3 ways:
1.) Where the wallpaper extends all the way down behind the buttons.
2.) Where the wallpaper extends half way down behind the buttons.
3.) Where the wallpaper ends at the top of the buttons.
I'd like to know how to get it to go ALL the way down. Even the stock ones stop half way down the buttons for me.
I think this may have something to do with Nova Prime...
Bump. How do we get wallpapers to go all the way down when using Nova?
Standard Android wallpapers are as follows... 1x vertical resolution, 2x horizontal resolution. In the case of the 720x1280 Razr HD, you want to create your wallpaper at 1440x1280. Keep in mind that it'll be centered on the screen and not scroll with the default launcher, but the image still needs to fit that size to avoid the phone resizing it.
Other launchers can turn scrolling on and off, and Wallpaper Wizardrii can resize wallpapers, and will allow you to set 720x1280 images as wallpapers without padding the sides to the double resolution.

Click to collapse
Does your background image extend behind the buttons to the bottom edge of the display when using Nova?
When I use Nova Launcher, backgrounds are cut off half way down the buttons, when I go to the default launcher they go all the way down (same wallpaper).

[Request] Proper wallpaper app with auto-margins

Hello.
As you are aware, it is not possible to pick a wallpaper for the One S without having to fill in the left and right fields in the wallpaper picker, whereas only the center field of the actual screen resolution is used. Especially in the Jelly Bean update this is an issue, as that version doesn't even have wallpaper scrolling, therefore having to pick wallpapers with extra margin is a pain in the royal hindbody especially if the image in question isn't widescreen but rather portrait.
Is there an app to fix this behavior, e.g. to either allow for [screen resolution only] wallpaper cropping or an app that allows the same during setup, and automatically adds black borders to the left and right (since these won't be visible given the lack of scrolling wallpaper)?
I use this to apply wallpapers
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shirobakama.wallpaper&hl=en
Or you can change launcher to one that lets you change how you set a wallpaper.
