Hi, my phone is currently running on ICS stock, the sweden version (Q9). Some time back, just to see what it was, I had encrypted my device. I faced some problems regarding touch and USB port, so without decrypting it, I flashed a GB ZSKK5 ROM. It showed some error while flashing that ROM, so I flashed it again and this time it got flashed successfully.
Then when all was good and nice, I flashed the ICS sweden version again. This time I faced problems like 'closing of android.phone process' etc. Also when I go to recovery mode, I see th android logo with a orange exclamation!! Also none of the options work in the recovery mode.
Has anyone faced something like thiS? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Wipe Cache/Dalvik and data.
DON'T use the device after the first boot, let it just sit there alone for 10 minutes, reboot it and start using it after, works for me everytime, i guess it's just cache regenerating all over again which can cause slow performance and can get corrupted sometimes causing freezes.

Did you follow the steps ONE BY ONE on the CM9 thread? you should use the flashing from stock method, all of the steps.
If you did that, try another base rom (XXKPU) and then flash CM9 on it.

If it was working fine before you turned it off, it's probably not a brick.
Maybe it's a hardware failure?
Try using the reset button between the speaker and the camera and try to turn it on (Search to find pictures about it).
If that doesn't work, keep trying to access download, if that also doesn't work, it's probably hardware related, although that in my opinion would be weird.
I have flashed with chinmay_7d's RemICS v1.6 . Yeak it looks cool, but I am facing an issue. When I turn on mobile data usage, the phone will turn off after some time (5-6 minutes) and it is not possible to turn on the phone again . It is needed to plug in it and turn on and then only it is working. In this condition, it is showing android is upgrading. There is no problem with using internet while plugged in. Anyone know how to fix this...? I like this ROM very much and so if it if fixed, then that will be cool.
are u coming from earlier versions of RemICS? followed all the installation steps?, go back to re-flash and tell us

Yes I am .Actually this issue was with 1.5.4 also. I have followed all the steps and cleared dalvik Cache and formatted cache partition. I have even done the factory reset and wiped all apps. I think the issue is because, it is reading the battery profile incorrectly or battery is actually drained when mobile data is turned on and that is triggering switch off thing.

Not sure if I'm right, but I think the practical solution to your problem would be to perform a flash from 0 up KPQ or KPU (which are the most stable to install this ROM), it may be the modem or the base ROM you used (for 3 months I have this ROM and never gave me any problems with KPQ)
Another thing, have you tried testing with Dhiru CM9 Base? to see if the same thing happens?

Have you tried to fix permissions on CWM? I got some problems with it too. After fixing and installing 1.5.4 again no problem. Now I'm on 1.6 and all is fine...
@ tavomt :
I think I can directly flash to stock rom.
Please help me
sI have tried fix permission and after that also this issue persists.
Also I have flashed with CM10 alpha from dhiru. This is also showing the same behavior. :crying:
Now flashed with RemICS JB . But the issue is still there. :crying::crying::crying:
I think I need to go back to REMICS 1.0, as there is no issue on it. But I desperately like to use this ROM. If anyone has got a fix, please post and help me.

The issue you are facing is exclusive to you. So i will not consider this a bug from my ROM.
I suggest you to follow correct flashing procedure. Wiping data before flashing a new ROM is a good practice.
It is possible that a third party app you are using is responsible.

Issue persists in Stock also
:crying::crying::crying:
The sad thing is that the problem persists after flashing stock ROM also. I have first flashed to XXKPE and then to XXKPU using Odin as given in the following link
http://blog.vigitalsolutions.com/2012/08/18/upgrade-samsung-galaxy-sl-i9003-to-cyanogenmod-9-cm9/
The issue is there in both the stock ROMS. Actually this issue was not present before. Now don't know what to do. I am only able to connect to internet in plugged in state.
Some times it turns off during call also .
:crying::crying::crying:
Hi,
I have rooted my phone and flashed with RemICS -UX 1.0 directly from stock GB 2.3.5 and there was no issue. Then I flashed again with 1.5.3 and 1.5.3 fixed (later) and from this point onwards it starts showing issues. When I turn on mobile data, it will automatically switched off and not able to turn on untill connected to charger or USB. Then I continued flashing with different ROMs like CM9/CM10 Alpha,RemICS -JB ,RemICS 1.6 etc. But the same issue persists. So I flashed with stock ROM. I have first flashed to XXKPE and then to XXKPU using Odin as given in the following link
http://blog.vigitalsolutions.com/2012/08/18/upgrade-samsung-galaxy-sl-i9003-to-cyanogenmod-9-cm9/
The issue is there in both the stock ROMS and it got worse. Now whenever it got network signal the phone will be turned off. If I turn on again, then it will be on for sometime and if a call came, it will turn off. I tried everything. wipe cache, wipe dalvik, factory data etc. But no use. Now don't know what to do with this phone.
Please help

Hi! I see you are a new member, perhaps now is the best time to read the forum rules, not that you violated or anything.. just wanna inform you.
Anyway, do a factory reset.. if that does not fix it, flash a stock firmware, not just a stock rom.. flash the whole thing, and of course, do a factory reset
Hope this helps, do report back for your feedbacks! Cheers

hmm....but nothing is fixed yet. The phone is turned off in between calls or if mobile data is turned on. When I try to turn it on again, it will show the boot animation and is shutting down. It will turn on again if I connect to charger. Then will work until i get a call. It will turn off during the call. don't know what happened actually. I shouldn't have done flashing
Someone please help me.Is there any possibility of getting my phone back to normal behavior ? Very much frustrated as I cannot read news and all .

Hey guys,
I've noticed in the last few days that my Wi-Fi just doesn't work any more. It won't even allow me to turn it on. When I go to the settings, it shows the option to turn Wi-Fi on, but it is greyed out now. I don't know what happened.
I'm using CM10 nightlies. I usually flash the new one every night and that's when I noticed this start happening. Since it started, I have tried flashing back to some older ones, even doing the full factory resets and cache wipes. No luck. Even after doing a fresh wipe, when the phone starts the initial google set up, the LTE isnt even working. It takes a few minutes for LTE to finally turn on, but the Wi-Fi has yet to.
Any suggestions as to what I should do?
Thanks

I just tried this right before I read your message. I wiped and flashed CleanROM 5.0. Sure enough Wi-Fi was working, but then went back to the CM10 ROM and it appears to not be working again. I've been looking at the CM10 thread and nobody else seems to be having this problem.

on my phone running cm10 10/12 wifi just stops working. can't turn it off and it won't scan properly for networks. i have to reboot. happens everytime. that's the only bug actually i found with 10/12.
I was on an very old version of baked rom when i decided it was time to upgrade to the new pac rom. I havr installed 3 different builds of that and the tablet never boots. Just freezes on the animation and resets. So then i decided to try out cm11. It installed perfectly and booted fine but about 5 minutes into uaing it it freezed and reset. It has now been doing this on any rom i try. PAC, CM11, CM10.2, CMB. Unfortunatly i have been trying to fix this issues on vacataion with only my phone. I even upgraded my twrp version and tries switching to cwm. Still no luck. Btw i am doing a clean wipe everytime. Anybody have any similar issues?

My guess: You are not on the required bootloader.
Thank you. How would you suggest checking weather i am on the right one? And what would the proper bootloader for this device be? Is this somthing i will be able to flash in recovery or will i need adb?

You find that information in the OP of the rom you want to install. For CM 10 I believe it has to be 10.6.1.14.x. For CM 11 I think you also need a modified recovery.
Boot into the bootloader and read the tiny script. That will tell you what you have installed.
