Hi All,
are there a tutorial somewhere which can teach me how to port a firmware for a different HTC mobile to the Gold? I'd like to port this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1271118 as it has the Nokia dlls to make the nokia specific apps (eg. the camerea extras) work.
TIA!
im very interested in this as well!
next dynamics roms will also have the ability to run nokia apps without turning your device into a pseudo-nokia.
I'm looking forward to that, too! Unfortunately(?) it seems Nokia will drive the the WP platform...

Please,
I'd like to know if is it possible to have a dual boot
for android mobile device (acer liquid) and windows mobile
thanks
I'd love to know about this too. Android's been impressing me on my FUZE, but I'm not entirely willing to dive in without a safety net.
If I could look forward to an AT&T version of Incredible in the future (or something similar) that would allow me to slip into WinMo if need be, I'd love it.
Or even better... an Android-native app that would launch WinMo apps. that way I'd be able to port over my beloved KinomaPlay. ^^d
Retro users?
Hi there,
I tried to search the question's forums and turned up to "no thread" on the subject.
When I tried to start one (and only then) I bumped into it!
Ok, I've being using Android for sometime now and do like it some but from time to time I just miss to have a smartphone that don't keep upgrading it's apps all the time!
Unfortunately there have been no decent WM phone on the brazillian operators of late (no Wm7 down here) and I quite could not leave the "eCompass" behind (saw no WM phone with it!).
Just now I'm waiting for some Nokia WM phones but until then...
(Possible I imagine that it is but)
... is there some hotshot out there to fix a WM version on an Android Device (like Defy or Galaxy Tab)?
C u!
There are quite a few compass apps on the Android Market.... Can you describe something unique eCompass does that you haven't found an adequate replacement?
Ah, before I go...
... Just to sign on the thread notification!
Just to the records...
(It appears that I was misunderstood and that my previous attempt at explaining it was unsuccessful!)
I was saying that I do not know of any WM device with compass capability! Just GPS.
"eCompass" was supposed to stand for electronic compass. It was not an app!

(Still awaiting...)
My friend try to do same thing on his android phone but no chance. I have another friend that can do it but he has some sort of universal phone that can had all os's made for phone.
Anyone can help abt ...Smart Tools for WM6.5..can any convert or develop the same app. found @ Android..? tnx in advance..(it is to measure the distance..etc..)
I wish it was that simple! But search around, you might a WM version as well, along with droid version...
Hi all,
I have a question about an application I developed for radio. It allows you to listen todifferent radio stations.
I installed on my Omnia 7 without problems, it works. Microsoft refuses, explaining that the application does not work.
Is it logical that the application works on my phone, not on their (Windows TestedPhones: HTC 7 Trophy, Samsung Focus / SGH-i91)?
And how to debug a problem like this? I do not know where does the fault and the emulator will be very useful to me.
Thanks for help

You could use the beta marketplace for this matter. Users can download and install your app directly from there if their live IDs have been enabled to access it.
Hi everyone,
I know there are a whole lot of replacements for office app on the google play store
but I wanted to know two things:
Is it possible to port a app from windows phone 8 to android apk?
And if you can, can anyone make a port of the real office from wp8 to a apk for android?
Thanks a lot to all of you developers!
Bluetooth Share and Ringtone Maker Apps are available on Marketplace for those who already upgraded their Nokia devices to Windows Phone 7.8
however, is there anyway to install those Apps on HTC devices?
I found them in Marketplace using my phone by scanning their QR Code but for sure Nokia blocks other manufacturer devices from installing them..
either way, I have an Officially Developer Unlocked HTC HD7 Windows Phone 7.8 device, and I tried to deploy the .xap files for both,, didn't work.
is there anyway to maybe "unlock" the .xap files to make them forced installed??
