Others have had issues entering into network settings in the past... with that said, something similar happened to me on alpha 4 (had no data on initial install) so I just changed preferred network in network settings (phone info app won't work). I would try to toggle from settings if it's already broke and see what happens... if not, go back to a ROM with working 4g, make sure your in lte mode and wipe and reflash miui

ya tried it all and I ended up even using odin to go back completely stock. still only had 3g. went to verizon and they said i had a bad sim card and they switched that and still no go so they gave me a new phone. and now it is working the tech said my antenna must have shorted out and that he had never seen that before. PS all was good and i had 4g on this rom until i started playing with the data settings. i wish i could tell you guys what i did but i really dont know which setting it was.

This is great, I have been waiting to try MIUI on my S3 for a while now.

^^ same, i'm really looking forward to some MIUI again. It was a life saver on the og Dinc, i'm sure it'll be nice on the s3

Backing up current rom now to test this out! Looking forward it and seeing everyones feedback!

So far, I'm noticing that gallery and messaging app are fcing when you back out. They seem to function properly, tested mms/sms successfully, but when you back out to close, the apps crash. Anyone else getting this? I might try to fix permissions and see what happens.

When using torch, after about 10-15 seconds I get hot reboots.
Also with data. It shows I have signal, but data isn't actually working for me. I used phone info and tried to set my phone to something else. It was on CDMA auto prl and j moved it to every single item it gave me and data was still borked

yea got same thing man

This morning i was so happy because i love miui. So i flash this rom and after boot i noticed my phone don't have signal, i try to reflash (wipe system, data and cache), after boot still no signal.
I restore my backoff (synergy), and after boot "surprise" my phone still no signal..
After one hour playing, wiping, flashing, finally i decided to flash stock Odin files, after boot still no signal so i press #2767*3855# i read this code wipe everything on the internal sd and set the phone back to factory restore.
So finally i have my signal and data back in service.
Now i scare to try again this rom.

Note: This is currently a WIP as I own the T-Mobile version (hercules) and cannot debug this ROM on my own device. Since the skyrocket and hercules are almost identical, I have built this ROM using my hercules version as a template. The items I have listed as not working are from my T-Mobile ROM and I am assuming they are the same for the skyrocket. For those of you that want to give this a try, I ask that if you are going to report an issue please do so by also providing a logcat of when the issue occurs. Without that I am not going to be able to debug the problem unless it is reproducible on the T-Mobile variant.
I know I said this at the bottom of my OP, but I know how people sometimes glance over posts and do not read it all so here goes.

this rom actually has one big error, and that is that the camera won't work! PLEASE fix this, as this will probably be my daily driver until the s3 gets an official JB update. other than that, great job with all of these roms!
Best decision I have made getting this device. So stoked for this.

I just installed this with CWM after doing all proper formatting (cache, data, system and dalvik) and it's bootlooping way more then twice.
It's going
Samsung screen
SIII screen
vibrate
samsung screem with recovery booting text
sIII screen
android with the spinning stomach scree, bar gets 25% of the way
then loop
Been doing so for about 10 mins so I'm going to odin back to stock.
EDIT: Nevermind, I'm dumb. Didn't use the Clockwork in the CM9 thread to do this . ODIN's back to root66 and got it working now!
Do theme changer themes work? I'm getting a compile error for a jelly bean theme I downloaded in the market

[PORT][ROM]Note 2 rom for Galaxy S3 Verizon

Version 6 has landed!!!
Galaxy Note 2 Rom ported from Sac23's Custom S Rom
Make sure to thank Sac HERE and hit the thanks button if you like this rom. All I did was port this from Sprint to Verizon. That's all I did. I can't fix anything that doesn't work like tethering (I'm not sure what works). I am pretty good at fixing problems so I'll try to help if I can.
Upcoming Changes: Some changes were made already
After doing it on my phone I am going to delete the sprint applications and will upload the update. Mostly done
Add goo manager so you can be notified of the updates. Already Done
The usual. I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PROBLEMS ON YOUR DEVICE. FLASH THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
One problem I found is the rotation is upside down. I fixed it by flashing the linked Kernel. I am running the VRBLK3 modem and Linked kernel on this rom.
Instructions:
Wipe everything
Wipe it again.
Flash Rom below
Boot.
Setup as usual.
Wait a couple minutes.
Reboot into recovery
Flash VRBLK3 Modem
Boot enjoy

it has the quick panel on the left side but doesnt seem to have the multiview. im working on finding a rom that i can port that has the newest software. i cant cook up roms. basically i woke up this morning and wanted to try the multiview only to find out its only on the note 2 and we have no ports. this is a work in progress.
beautiful beautiful rom. will be a daily driver for a while.
battery is nothing to brag about but is also very decent for first version that has been ported.
one problem other then the opposite rotation is that the ringtone and notification sounds seem really loud. (ill have it as quiet as it can go without being off and it still plays as if it is turned half way up or something. oh well. ha
Very nice though. great job. will be following this thread.

Think of the bar as more of a shortcut panel. Very useful....but not a multi window mod.

Q&A
Q: Is this Rooted?
A: Yes it is. To have the Root privileges, Go to settings>about phone>then tap build number 7 times to enable the developer settings, once enabled, under root access, choose apps and adb and make sure the SElinus is permissive. This is CM common issue atm. (Thanks to @foxxx5oh)
Q: Why doesn't this have Focal?
A: Because Focal doesn't work well on this phone so I removed it as it is usable but laggy.
Q: Trebuchet launcher randomly crashes. WHY?
A: Who knows? Install another launcher then since this is existed on galaxy s also - i9000.
Q: Where is 'fix permission' option in CWM?
A: I believe koush decided to throw away the fix permissions button in CWM because he said it was largely placebo effect and had no real purpose anymore. (Thanks to @cpkelley94)
Q: Dahell, I can't use Google Now.
A: I found that all you have to do to fix Google now is get root explorer, titanium backup or SD maid, remove system app Google search and reinstall from play store... (Thanks to @turtlepa)
Q: My battery drains so fast and I found out that WiFi kept awake and running in background even I disabled it. Why?
A: Due to new Android version permission, Google set up a new option to allow Gapps to scan for nearby networks even when WiFi is off. To disable that, go to settings>WiFi>advance>untick the scanning always available option n u r cool again .
A 10.2 oh really

heh, I am the tester for me already lol, I want it to be stable enough to release so just whenever I release, it at least is good enough to use, not an alpha or beta test
By the way, the first build has the wrong version coz I didn't make clobber since 05/08 til now I just built it today mean 09/08 and it is UNOFFICIAL, not RELEASE
Understandable, it should prove interesting on this phone since it is blazing on my note 2 without an OC kernel. I was as giddy for this as I was when I first installed CM5 on my Sapphire back in the day lol

I forgot how long a first boot takes on this thing....
First thing I noticed is that the Google text to speech engine has stopped...and that the WiFi doesn't seem to want to come on...
I'll reboot and fix permissions and see if that fixes it...

yep, text-to-speech is a well-known aries bug - or u haven't known it lol. I will work on Wifi then, it worked on the not-working-RIL build b4 tho ^^
I'm not sure why it isn't working, but it's been turning WiFi on for a little less than 10 minutes now...if I could get into the build.prop I'd check the wlan setting there but I doubt I can without ROM toolbox
**edit edit** wiped everything wipeable including a spare SD card twice and am starting from scratch

You may want to add how to access root privileges to the list too since it has a little trick to it...

Sorry cause it was a dirty build that had broken wifi. I'm uploading a clean build w working everything except galaxy s 4g's aries-common bugs. Btw, since our phone doesn't play well w Focal so I will remove it to save 11MB fo the system . From now til the upload is done, PLEASE DON'T DOWNLOAD IT. Sorry for this inconvenience.

Sweet! A huge thanks to team apex.
Any idea if/when we will see a stable build?
Do you recommend these builds over the unofficial nightlies?

The official builds are likely to be more stable.
MUCH more stable.
But ours will likely be a bit better on battery consumption because of a kernel patch that upstream is unlikely to accept.
I don't know, now that it's all official, I just feel like the magic is gone, you know?
SERIOUSLY THOUGH: thanks devs, you guys are killer. I had no idea when I bought this phone just how totally supported it would be.
Oh, I don't know. Having run unofficial CM builds for the better part of two years (first with the G2 running ICS and JB and then with the Relay), I'm happy as a poet on pay day to be back on something officially supported by the Cyanogen folks. Even something as simple as a stable camera so I can use my phone as a light detector, mail scanner, etc. again is huge for me.
If any of you devs ever come through northern Indiana, the drinks are on me.
I am having problems trying to root my phone. The software used to put the recovery on the phone doesn't see the phone when it's in recovery mode. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the USB driver to see if that fixes it with no luck. As soon as I get it rooted I'll install the ROM.
Are there any current known issues?

You need to boot into download mode volume down and home
Trebuchet dock doesn't reboot to the settings I apply.
For instance I create 2 folders either side of the centralised app launcher icon in the middle. But when I reboot the phone those folders I created disappear and revert to the default layout.
Coming from a full system/data & caches wipe.
And have tried wiping Trebuchet data and cache.
Anyone else notice?
A friend who installed the same dated 10.2 official nightly build on his Nexus 4 had just confirmed this trebuchet quirk occurs on his to. Upstream perhaps.
Otherwise extremely fluid user experience thus far
EDIT: just powered device off, changed to a fully charged battery, during boot I got a blue screen!? Managed to power it down and reboot with success. Odd.

How do I change the camera location to external SD card?
Nice smooth ROM.
Sent from my SGH-T699 using xda app-developers app
External SD on the camera hasn't been ported to cm 10.2 yet. Now that it's gone public, expect quite a bit of rapid changes until the final stable release. Most of these changes won't come from us, they'll come from upstream. (If you find a nightly that works well hang onto it for a week or so, in other words
Also, hey, look, someone copied us http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/47947/

ROM Manager works just fine. Be certain to correctly alert it to which recovery you're running first (otherwise nothing will work).

is there a cwm recovery around yet that lets you backup to the external sd?
updating from within rommanger doesn't work since it says our relay is not officially supported.
The amusing irony is that with the official CM nightly installed, ROM Manager can download and install new builds all on its own. So, in fact, the Relay is (sort of) supported. No idea re external SD support. I believe Infernix put a quick adb-based hack in the unofficial 10.2 thread a couple days ago.

The Odin root directions has a recovery that can back up to external SD. Make sure to pick external SD backup and not just backup (that one backs up to the phone). That is how I rooted my phone because the Heimdall install wouldn't see my phone or the app would crash in Windows 8.
