Since a few days I have problems with the google calender. Events I create on my phone won't push to another phone. Only an email is sent to the other phone with another account.
If I take a look in the google account settings of the other (my partner) all is ok. The account based on yyyyyy*googlemail.com. Also in the settings of her calender the correct email/account address is shown.
My account is xxxxxx*googlemail.com. Main settings, Google Mail, all is fine. But when I open the setup of my calender (standard calender) I see the owner of the calender is xxxxxx*GMAIL.com. So if I create an event, the event belongs to xxxxxx*gmail.com and I think this is the reason why the event won't push to my partners phone - because she is only allowed to see events from xxxxxx*GOOGLEMAIL.com.
I tried everything - deleted all events in my calender. Create a new calender, but if I do so, the owner is also xxxxxx*gmail.com.
What can I do? I can't delete the calender or set it back to default
I am right, that this could be the reason?
I hope someone here can help me - please and thanks so long

So ... great I tried a few things again. I deleted all my events in my own calender again. After that I deleted the calender cache on my android phone.
When I now create a new event over the google webcalender, the event isn't pushed to my phone. Also all other events out of my webcalender won't sync to my phone.
A manuell sync on my phone at least creates the events on the phone.
I thought about just create a new google account at all, but I can't switch the apps I bought to another account.

Solved. Deleted account and created a new one
The HTC calendar is nice enough, but I can't get it to notify for appointments and it keeps syncing to some mysterious data source with incorrect information (such as birthdays), even though I only have google sync checked. Anyone able to install the default Google Calendar from the Gapps package as an apk and get it to work?
Anyone have this issue with incorrect data somehow getting synced to the calendar? Today it thinks it's my Step-Father's birthday which is earlier in the year and I have no idea where it got the date (it's right on google and in my contacts and I don't have any social crap like facebook installed).
EDIT: cleared calendar storage and now it's gone.
Hi,
I've installed a new custom rom on my ZTE987 device and there is no way to synchronize my google calendars with this application.
I've done it a lot with all my previous device but this app act as if it do not have the right to connect to my google account.
in parameter also, I can synchronize contacts, mails, etc. but there is no calendar (or agenda) synchronisation.
Do you have a solution ?
problem resolved by the installation of another google calendar application. (the blue one with 31 number on it). then calendar are correctly syncronized and the old calendar application (the green one) works.
Why is there 2 calendar application ? I don't know...
Some of my newer contacts are not synching with either my Google Contacts or my Outlook.com contacts. I'm on a Nexus 5 running Android 5.1.
I use Outlok.com for my primary repository for contacts and calendars, however I use GSyncit add-on for MS Outlook (desktop) to sync my desktop Outlook contacts and calendars to Google. This way I can use Outlook.com or Google Calendar / GMail to access/share my calendar and access contacts depending on the situation.
Everything is working fine on the desktop end so that is irrelevant to this problem (so probably shouldn't even have wrote the above paragraph - but just in case.)
I see there is a new Google Contacts app on the phone and on the web. I noticed this when I clicked on the People app and it said the app was missing. When I go to the web version of Google Contacts via my Google account, there are no contacts there! All my contacts are still in Gmail though of course.
I see that when I attempt to edit an older contact on the phone, it first prompts me with which Google account I want to sync with. I don't need to sync my phone contacts directly with Google, I just want to sync with Outlook.com -> Outlook -> Google (via GSyncit) but I suppose it wouldn't cause a problem if I just had the phone sync to both accounts (probably will then need to disable GSyncit contact sync between Outlook desktop and Google).
What is weird is that it is like Google made the mistake of launching this new contacts app, but there's no notice or migration instructions on the changes with the new app. I just happend to discover something was "unhooked" by trying to edit a contact! I just discovered the new Contacts app on the web by Googling, Google Contacts. I'm technically saavy and somewhat of an Android Wonk, and am surprised this is all a surprise!
Do I have to go try to edit every single contact on the mobile Contacts app now to select which Google account it syncs with? I HOPE NOT!
At the risk of appearing dumb I'm leaving my original post for background. It appears this is (not surprisingly) all a Microsoft issue. When I went into the Outlook.com app on my phone, when you click on the Contacts and Calendars Sync setting, nothing happens! Come to find out this app is no longer on the play store. It appears to have been replaced earlier this year by the Microsoft Outlook Preview. Installed that app, and it doesn't and an account type to the phone! So it appears, unlike the Outlook.com app, it won't sync calendars and contacts with the native Android calendar and contacts app. It's as if Microsoft is trying to make you use their new app instead of the stock Android apps that just sync with the Outlook.com account? Please say this isn't so!

Title: How To Sync Contacts & Calendars with Native Android Phone Apps?
Reply
Hi,
Unfortunately , by design, it is not yet possible to sync your Android phone contacts to your Outlook.com account.
Note: At the moment, you can only sync Outlook.com contacts to your android phone.
Please provide your suggestions/opinion as a feedback to the development team. To do this, click on the gear icon on the top right corner of Outlook.com homepage and select 'feedback' from the dropdown menu.
Hope this information is helpful.

However, this isn't that big of a deal as I come to find out, even though there is no longer an Outlook.com account type on the phone any more, you can use the Exchange account type and use server address: s.outlook.com and then you can sync everything. Why the MS Tech didn't point this out it baffling.
(big middle finger for you Microsoft)
trying to bring my birthdays from all my contacts to my phone is proving no easy task. though I have my gmail setup and all my contacts have downloaded and the birthdays are showing in each individual contact, I can't get the birthdays to appear in S planner.
I have events in my calendars in gmail that do appear but not my contact birthdays and other events.
please help!
I use acalendar+ for this. It has the ability to remind you for a birthday without the need to create an event in the calendar and it has a view to see the coming birthdays with age. It takes this info from the contact birhtday field.
It is more flexible than s planner or google calendar
I have a widget that pools everything together and its been really convenient so Id like to get that sorted
I don't think s planner is that flexible.
I also use an agenda widget that shows me birtdays and events from several calendars including google. It is also provided by acalendar+. Another app I used earlier was "business calendar 2" which also has the ability to show events and birthdays combined in one widget but it hasn't had the ability to remind me on a birthday without adding an event to the calendar
my problem is that in the settings of s planner there is an option to show contact birthdays and I have it toggled to on but still no joy
that is the reason why i canged my calendar app. S Planner has only shown the birthdays of the so called "local calendar", not from my exchange active sync account and not from my google account calendar. Might be a minor bug but that has made me change my calendar app.
And those mentioned setting is only for device contacts.

hope there is something that can fix it
I looked in the actual s planner and i found out you have to enable Google Calendar AND Google contacts in the calendar settings. Than it shows birthadys in the calendar as daily event

Hi
I don't use SPlanner but birthdays and special events from Contacts shows there (as on Google Calendar, that I use). You have to enable it on Google Calendar: web first, and then on your phone (check to sync). See if it works for you.
Cheers

Sorry, what I suggested was for setting it up for the first time. I didn't understand you had it working before.
Found this in an other forum:
"I had similar problem. I downloaded Google calender synced it and now both calenders and s planner show all events as well as anniversary and birthdays"
This did it. Thanks a lot!

And another workaround to try:
ok guys, finally found out what was wrong!
First I want to make sure we are all on the same page here:
1. When inserting a birthday on a contact, you can see the entry in Google Calendar (https://www.google.com/calendar/render) but you cannot see the entry on S Planner!
2. The entry exists on contact level both in the contacts of the device and in the contacts of GMail Contacts
IF this is the case then the solution to the problem is the following:
Go to System Settings --> Application Manager -->ALL
Find Application "Calendar Storage"
Open it and Clear Data
Open S-Planner and Re-sync your Calendar (Menu --> Sync)
All birthdays should appear correctly now
I realized that the calendar either gets a max value and does not update or there must be a kind of bug in there cause, the entry is there (since opening Google Calendar online you can see the entry) and after deleting and re-creating the contact does not fix the problem.
