Anyone know how to record calls on CM10? All the apps I've tried only give me static when I play the recorded file and I can't find a built in app similar to CM9.

I updated to the latest 2.3.4 and have tried calling two different people on their computers from my Nexus S using the video chat. They were running the GChat Video in their web browsers. Neither one of them could hear me talk. Is anyone else having this issue? Did I flash incorrectly or something? Everything else works fine.
It might sound stupid/obvious, but never the less, please confirm that you did not mute the mic by touching the mic icon accidentally.
I had the same thought so I clicked it a couple of times. On or off, no sound.

GTalk broken in Browser
The issue only seems to be with some of my friends computers. I had a friend install the latest plugin for voice and video chat and he could hear me just fine. Maybe they have an old plugin?
Since I installed Skype on my Note, it always is on speaker phone at the start of a call.
I don't know if anyone else has had that issue. I searched the forum and don't see it mentioned. I have tried reinstalling to no avail.
Any suggestions?

Install Moded version of Skype
Install a modded version of Skype from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1148708
There are settings to disable speakers after making a call. Also there are settings to enable Bluetooth to work with Skype.

Will not install on my stock Note. Does this require root?
same
I have the same problem here
I found that bug rather annoying too. I ended up using GrooveIP and my Google voice. I got GrooveIp for free in one of Amazon's give aways.
The current Skype app runs pretty well on the ICS roms. No speaker bug anyway. Skype works on Milka's, Stunner and I think I tried it on CM9 too. So I guess when the the official ICS comes out, Skype should be working.
For the past couple of weeks I've been forwarding my Sprint Calls to my Skype # and answering them on my Note running my unlimited ipad sim. It's a little quirky and I have to get use to the 1 second delay but it works.
hello frens ...i have skype video call working on my tab2 7 on stock rom but after i flashed cm9 its not working ....any solution ???
Was it working on stock ROM ? I'm on factory stock and when I make video calls I do not have video, only voice. But when I'm receiving a video call then it works both video and voice. This is for my tab and phone the same. I think that the Skype app has a bug. First I noticed this on my phone and thought there was a problem with the custom ROM and app interaction, but since the same happens on my new tab on stock factory ROM I think it's the app, also I did not have this issue b4 the app was updated, the previous version worked fine

Is it possible to answer incoming calls? The manual says you can by touching the phone icon. but there is no phone icon when there's a call coming in. Maybe I'm missing something?
You need to have the call handling smart watch app on your phone.

If you don't have a Sony smartphone you have to use this SW2 extension:

I don't have a sony smartphone either and the one I posted above works perfectly with the Galaxy S3.

Lucky!
On my stock Galaxy S4 i9505 it never worked.
And if you read the comments on the Google Play you'll find tons of people with the same problem like the OP.
My answer button didn't work either, so I uninstalled the stock call handling app. I then installed call handling pro, it sucked Cuz there was too much lag between someone calling and it showing up on the watch, but the answer button worked. I uninstalled call handling pro, and reinstalled the stock call handling app, and like magic there is an answer button now and it works.

True, the lag appeared in the very latest versions, as now the extension wants to load all the contacts along with their photo, and it takes a long time.
Older version without this feature were enough fast (so I never updated and still use one of them!)
Could work on Samsung Note 3?
Fix for the call handling extension for non-Sonys, allows answering of calls:

For anyone who requires two way call recording on AOSP Roms i.e. CyanogenMod, Paranoid Android etc for the HTC One M8 this app works:

I've used several that automatically record both sides, of every phone call. Really confused as to why you think this is the only one that works? (Would list the ones that work, but think it would be easier to list the one that DIDN'T work.... Will edit when i find the name)
Excuse me both call recording on m8 not working well without distortion in sound....so we Still need help to solve that problem....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51845810

Call Recorder
Call Recorder works perfectly fine, Even better than on my old HTC One m7.
Have not done anything other than unlock bootloader, custom recovery and install Viperone rom.
Really missed this feature on my phone (had the lumia 1020 for a month) so glad I got the M8 now.

For me Automatic Call Recorder works best, but ONLY with the call recording support feature enabled and the noise suppression feature enabled in the Xposed MOD, Xtended Settings. Without that enabled, I just get that stupid obnoxious static issue...It's most likely audio clipping...or peaking - whichever you wanna call it. So, yeah my advice is to NOT use any kind of in-call volume boosters or anything like that, as that'll only worsen the static issue.
So, with these settings, I'm getting perfectly crystal clear call recording now on my HTC ONE M8.
HTC One M8 Android 4.4, no root needed, almost all recorders can record calls well in two directions.
HTC One M8 Android 5.0, without root all recorders can only record your voice, the caller's voice can't be recorded, except this one: HTC One M8 Android 5.0 Call Recorder. This is the only solution in the world that record calls in two directions without root.
Jit Call Recorder also works on Htc One M8 with Lollipop
