[Q] IRC for Development? - Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE

Perhaps it is because there is no conceivable development...
But is there already an IRC channel to discuss the Photon Q, especially its development?
Edit - may I suggest #PhotonQ on Freenode?

Android Development IRC channel

I know this isn't explicitly android development and if a mod decides that this thread shouldn't be in dev then i'm sorry.
Freenode.net #Evodev
I don't know if people are already using something to communicate besides the forums but I figured that I might as well get an irc channel started if not.
I AM SURE, some developers already talk on irc.
Your server however is broken.
irc.freenode.net is definitely not broken.

oops, forgot 'irc.' my bad
I know some developers do, just trying to make a place for all to do so.
Once again. These folks are already on irc. Get their channel,
not make a new one...

[Q] IRC beginner question

I've heard that the IRC channel has alot of roms that we don't see in the development section. I found a link to the IRC and looked around but could only find a link in the topic for CM7. I was wondering if there was a list or something that shows all the roms that everyones talking about in the IRC, or is it more like you have to request them and someone provides a link?
Im sorry im extremely new to IRC and would like to idle in IRC to keep up to date on whats going on in Shift rom development.

there aren't necessarily more roms in the IRC, but betas are posted more frequently. come in, chat and find some roms, ask some questions.
With so many Shift owners just idling around it's a good place for devs to find guinea pigs. Hang out and you never know when someone might post a beta to try. I got to try out GB Sense this morning =)

Setting up an IRC?

Edit : Please close this thread. Thanks
You want just an xda help irc, or a captivate help irc? I have a feeling a channel that general would be chaos, too many people at once to keep track. Just my opinion.
I'm in the mosaic irc a lot you can drop by there with questions, if I'm there I'll answer.
Expecting knowledgeable devs/users to sit around on irc waiting for newbies to drop by and ask questions that were already answered on here is quiet the feat you're proposing. The search button/faqs/q+a section is all you really need.
I guess, but if theyre on there computer... having an IRC application open shouldnt be too much trouble. Would the MOSAIC IRC help me with other probelms though? :S for example.. flashing back to stock etc.. and other ridiculous ideas.
A lot of ROMs, kernels, etc already have their own IRC channels. Most are on Freenode. If you need help on a specific ROM or kernel, check and see if they already have something set up in their thread.
Eh, alright thanks I guess I should ask for this thread to be closed then

IRC Channel

I was wondering if there is an IRC Channel for the Droid ULTRA?
A place where we can all get together and talk. I do understand that is in part what XDA is here for, but getting answers for quick little question would be a lot painless.
Is there one that.. most people here would know about?

* Please Read - Beginners or Developers - XDA IRC CHANNEL *

Hello To All!
Maybe some, or many of you are not aware that XDA has an IRC channel on Freenode!
I see there is quite a bit of action going on, now that Xiaomi has released it's kernel source, now ROM development seems to be really moving for this phone.
I really want to get this post stirred up around here, that people will join the XDA IRC channel, so there can be some serious live action collaboration going on!
Geeks should be using IRC, and I can't believe there is no action on that channel!
Go into any Linux Unix channel on Freenode and you see peeps all the time chatting, helping and learning, IRC is the Unix/Linux way!
Even if you're not so Geek or a Developer, but you just want help, or to learn, then get on the channel too, and help bring it to life. In time as it grows, you will find the help you are looking for!
IRC is so helpful, I literally learned a lot of my Unix/Linux skills on Freenode through many of the channels there.
Also, just in case you didn't know, Freenode is the largest Open-Source IRC server in the world! So whatever world of Open-Source you are into, there's a lot going on there! Maybe you'd love to learn Linux/Unix too, well Freenode is the perfect place for that also!
Please spread the word around, and let's make it grow together.

P.S. Even if you only read the post, please just type/give it a Bump so the post will remain on the top, for the benefit of others to read.
