Charge very slow - HTC Sensation

Hi,
Well, i had like 3% yesterday on my phone before I went to bed, it charged for about 6h and it only went to 47% normally it should be full charged at 6h.
So what can I do about it?
I'm not using an original HTC-cable because mine is broken, so i bought one from Ebay in hongkong this one
For me it's the same as my previous one so.. I don't really know what the problem is! There are no apps running in the background because i'm using juicedefender.
I'm not charging my phone with my PC.
Please help me!

How old is the battery? And is it in good condition?
Did the charging problems start when you first changed cables or not? Does charging with the phone off make a difference to the charge speed for you?

Don't trust these chargers you get from ebay. They may not be the same as the original(especialy if it was shipped from HongKong). Did you charge your phone by USB? Try charging with the wall charger and see how long it takes.

I've used the charger of my girlfriend the day before yesterday and there were no problems.
Im going to try my brother's BlackBerry charger its the same as a htc charger.
Lets hope for the best, thanks for reply

Thank you so much! I've buyed a charger and my phone is charging for max 20 min and the battery increased already by 10%!
Thank you really!!
An other question in you signature I see that you have an anker battery, is it a good choice to buy it?

Yes I really suggest you buy it, it has made a world of difference for me. It's worth the money trust me!
And 10% for 20 min doesn't seem quick to me unless you were using the phone in the meanwhile or you had more than 70% of charge

I was using my phone and had more than 70%
And for the anker battery going to buy it

Mugem is also a good battery. I have both mugen and Anker. I get more juice with my mugen. It just depends what your looking for want a bit more time, choose mugen. However Anker is priced more reasonably. In my experience mugen has lasted longer than my Anker but it takes a few days to build up to a longer charge . After a few days you will really see the difference. Hope this helps. Best wishes

Chichitech vs. Anker

Hey guys I've got both batteries and so far the chichi tech has been giving me significantly more life then the Anker. Both batteries have been treated the same way, popped in, fully charged without the phone off, then used till the phone died and charged back up to full (2x) so far I notice that my chichitech is giving me about 3 hours more than the Anker. Is anyone else getting these findings?
Typical daily use: total of an 1-2 hours game (gun bros, cut the ropes) a ridic amount of texting, light web browsing, and heavy email use.
so how many hour does the Anker give you? hours Chichitech?
I haven't bought any but I'm leaning more towards the Chichitech.
This thread can tip sales in favor of one brand
pinch of salt!
The chichitech are more expensive though. But they do come in pairs. I only need one and don't like paying for things I don't need. The anker battery is £9.
I might wait a little while longer as I believe it is still too early to see if these batteries are good. Need to see how they hold their charge in the long-term as we all know battery life is reduced over time.

In that case I might consider grabbing the Chichitech 1930mAH for EVO3D to get even more juice!

That;s what I did! Will report back with how it went.
Chichitec rocks socks.
I completely discharged , then charged in the wall charger 3x. Then I kept it in the phone the next cycle, overnight, and the thing took off ever since.
I've been getting a full days use with, normal for me use, where im usually dying by 5 or 6 pm I'm now left with battery to spare when I go to bed between 10-12.
I unplug in the morning around 7 am.
Couldn't be happier, and for a normal day I wont need a spare. :-D

That sounds awesome. I ordered one a few days ago over the anker. Can't wait for it to get here. Anyone can confirm the battery temp sensor works properly or accurately for the chichitec. I read from anker thread that some people are not getting correct readings.
I have both. I am at 14% right now with my anker and its been off the charger since yesterday at 9 am. It's 11:45 am, so that's 27 hours. Chichitec is yielding about the same results for me. Anker wins because its half the price.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
I am a bit skeptical about chichitech, I have bought 2 batteries from them for my old g2. I only used one of those, and it does not give me no substantial difference with a 500 mAH difference (1400 vs. 1900 mAH). But my anker battery so far is working very good for my sensation. noticeable difference with the stock battery (not as significant as I would expect, but let see).

So I'm about at 9% battery and its been 10 hours and 18 minutes with the Anker. Far less then what I get with my chichitec. However to be honest I bet if I bought another chichitec battery and another anker battery, my results would be switched. These batteries are probably drastically different from make to make. I feel its the luck of the draw with both manufacturers either you get an awesome battery or you don't.
I have never made pass 6 hrs on stock batt. With the ankers I get 9 hrs heavy use.

Please report your findings also, im very interested.
So far so good, received my Chichitec and I did my first full cycle yesterday. I drained it when I got it, charged it overnight and started using it as normal from 10AM.
I made it until I went to bed, at 15h uptime with 3:30 hours display time and slightly heavier usage than normal. This left the battery at 19%.
On the stock battery I could barely make it past 2:20 hours of display time at around 10-15% battery left by the time I usually go to bed.
1900mAh? I don't know, but I do know these batteries are definitely lasting longer than stock.

Battery charge issues

Hello all. I had an issue w/ my proximity sensor so I got an AE. It was defective, so I got ANOTHER AE.
Since I owned my EVO I always get extended batteries. I bought a 2750mah and it worked great. Then it started charging slowly.
I got giftcards to Best buy for my birthday so I got a new on there. (Sedio 3400 I believe)
Now when I try to charge my phone, it will literally take 2 hrs or so to get 15-20% charged.
I use my handset heavily, but w/ my EVO it was like 2hrs = a full charge and all day heavy use got me to a minimum of 25%.
I know LTE is to blame for a little battery drain, but any ideas? Full charge to 30% in like 5 hrs sometimes. Should I order another AE?
I'm on stlck w/ the most current software btw. Thanks.

Battery could be defective..
I was thinking if he was rooted he needed to do battery calibration since he swtiched from stock to extended battery. Clear the stats and start over fresh. Maybe I am wrong, we'll see when we answers when or if he is rooted.

I switch between the HTC charger that came with it and several other after market cables/usb wall adapters.

I had alot of issues with charging my Incredible to the point where my phone took 5 hours to charge and 1 hour to drain. No simple answer here but if you root your phone many options exist to fix this battery issue. Recal the battery would be the first option. If you are able Root try that and come back and report.

Anker will replace it for you. They're very good about that, as far as I've heard.
It is possible that you could've gotten a bad battery...
Make sure to check it's not your rom or any app you've recently installed.
Case in point, I installed Pulse reader on my phone and have it refresh every hour. Battery life plummeted from 20hrs to about 12hrs

You're better off buying the Anker two-pack. It's so bad I won't even burden anyone else with it.
Use the ankers by charging them in the standalone wall charger, never plug in your phone except for emergencies.
Make sure you are fully charging the batteries and then fully draining them. I get 30+ hours on each battery. If you repeatedly charge your phone for an extra 10% at a time(like when you use a car charger for the ride to your destination), you ruin the battery.

Quite the contrary actually. Li-ion batteries can be charged for any periods of time. Charge cycles depend on how many times they go through 100% collectively (i.e. 50% today + 50% tomorrow = 1 cycle)
Although I will admit, rapidly charging the battery for short amounts of time successively (car charger) has thrown off the calibration for me. The 75% I have when I get to my destination isn't really the 75% I would get charging from home. A simple reboot corrects the discrepancy.

Hello, my battery is charging incredible slow.
I have been using my first battery for about 1 year. Then i got spare battery as 'sorry' from Htc Repair Service, because they din't fix falling of display at first.
So i used my first battery for 1 year, then put it in shelf, charged to 2/3 of capacity.
Then i started using second battery - Genuine One from service.
It's 1 year from then. Battery is charging incredible slowly. I also tried changing charger for 2AMP (tablet, genuine nexus 7), but it didn't help at all.
What can be problem ? I also tried cleaning charging port, didn't help.
I put my phone on charger this morning with 15%. Now it's 4 hours later, and battery has only 80%.

2450MAH High Capacity Battery?

It has been proven many times that the 2450mah claim for this battery is extremely exaggerated.
If a battery manufacturer will lie (quite a large lie) about the specs, then I would also highly doubt the quality & longevity of it.
Also, I really doubt they are made in Japan.
So NO, go and buy an Anker in other words, they are by far the best.

Ok thanks. One more thing, does the charger that is included with the anker have usb? Just one anker battery cost $17 and 2 anker plus a charger cost $30. I'm only gonna need one battery but looking at my charger which is a bit ripped I want another charger just to be safe. So was wondering if the anker charger included in the pack of 2 battery has usb plug like the stock charger.

Well the charger I got from Anker has a micro-usb connection input (female), but there is nothing else supplied. So you need another HTC charger (or similar) to power it up.
Anker or Mugen power.
I personaly bought the Mugen power (1950 Mah ) and I'm very happy with it's performance.
It's true that it's more expensive that the Anker batery but it had some better argumented reviews at the time I was searching plus the thermometer (I like to know if and whae the battery gets warmer).
As you can see to this link he sells thousands batteries. I bought too "gold" batteries for friends. They didn't said me something bad. For me i afraid to take something like that. Maybe go to Anker battery at future

ok after all this time using gold battery from ebay I can confirm it works fine. I'm still putting my phone on charge every evening but I'm just used to doing that. phone can last three day on moderate usage no gaming just phone calls, texting, some browsing and so on. much better than original battery. from my experience with two different HTC phones with the same kind of cheap gold battery I can confirm it works fine and is high quality.

Saying that it is high quality seems a little like exaggeration.
But I guess it works somewhat OK.
I don't think it is gonna last long though.

i used my HTC DHD for over a year with gold battery, then gave it to my brother and he is now using this phone around a year long with same battery what he says that the phone lasts at least two days for him. and two days is still longer than I was getting with my HTC DHD with brand new original battery. so think what you want but honestly see no point in buying quite expensive anker battery or what ever else you guys are using.

Its not a good one..The ebay listing have ended sorry...I bought it for 350 Rs......but its like 80% of stock 1520mah battery so i have bought 2 anker battery and a wall charger for 2000 Rs....So now I have more backup than a note 2...

Ok thanks. One more thing, does the charger that is included with the anker have usb? Just one anker battery cost $17 and 2 anker plus a charger cost $30. I'm only gonna need one battery but looking at my charger which is a bit ripped I want another charger just to be safe. So was wondering if the anker charger included in the pack of 2 battery has usb plug like the stock charger.

i got 2 anker batteries and a wall charger for £13 off eBay and they have done me quite well. i use one during the day and then (7am - 5pm) and then i have my other one charging ready for me to just pop into my phone. so I'm never out of power. i also have one of the 2450mah ones and i see the anker lasts at least 3 hours longer.
