On, I've been searching for this for a few days. I have been running ics and jellybean for a while, and as many know, upon moving to another Tom, when you sign in to Google, it will sync all the old bookmarks right back. Soo, my question is, where in the world are they kept in Google? I am back to gb, and can't find in Google they are kept. My Google/bookmarks folder is empty. Is there a way to access this info?

So i decided the stock firmware blows, on my Vibrant. So i rooted, backed up, copied, synced and backedup again. Then flashed my precious.
When she came back up it wanted me to enter my google info. So i tried and it did not accept it... So i tried via a web browser and google says my account does not exist.
I'm using a custom domain i setup with google ages ago. I use google calendar sync with outlook and it's still working (according to my pc). But still googles says it doesnt exist. Every business contact i've got is in there....
Can i restore Enclair restore my backup and get it all back?

So it looks like my google sites account is just gone... But still my contacts were working just hours ago, calendar still says its working...
After rebooting my phone everything showed up! Sorry for freaking this thread is dead!

Ok, so I just rooted and so far so goo. I used mybackup to restore all of my contacts, images, home screen, etc... then I get this popup telling me to force close every few minutes and so I do some research and I have to go in and clear my contacts, this works to get rid of the popup and so I'm happy, but It's too bad cuz all of the other contacts I had that aren't on facebook are now gone. I wen't onto my gmail account and they are all there. So my question is: How do I sync all of my contacts back? I already went into the account and sync to make sure that the contacts are selected under google. I would appreciate any help and please don't get mad at me for not looking around, because I always do my research. This is actually the first forum I've ever posted looking for help. THANKS!!
Hi there, the other day i decided to (after a fair bit of reading) root my Wildfire that i have had for the last year with no problems. I have decided to go with the DK_Custom_Froyo v 4.6.2.
After doing so i set about putting some programs back on and getting rid of some of the standard bloatware, such as you tube, adobe reader, pico, rss reader etc.
I have found that my calendar cannot/will not sync with my googlemail account. I have data linked with navigation and google maps, where my starred places can be synced.
I am trying to look into the source of the problem but seen as its taken me over a year to have the bottle to root my phone im not that technically gifted when it comes to phones. (i'll quite happily strip down a car and rebuild it) A couple of the symptoms are:
1. When i add a event there is no calendar to add to then when i click save, it opens a box stating that its 'loading calendars' but would do that all day if i left it.
2. When i goto settings>accounts and sync>google, and try to manually sync the sync com.andriod.calendar, i get a message stating that 'sync is currently experiencing. It will be back shortly'
Everything else syncs such as the weather and facebook.
I like the calendar as i've got used to using it and the layout but obviously i'd rather have a working calendar where i can sync all my appointments and birthdays.
Is the problem with the custom rom?
Any Help or advise on this problem is greatly appreciated.

Hello all, I was just curious where google syncs "Browser" and "Google-Photos" to. I just recently flashed a new rom onto my phone and during setup I made sure to uncheck the option for google to sync with my phone. Yet three hours later I realize that it decided to sync anyway. Pissed off, but whatever, I went and deleted contacts and calendar events (it's the principle of the matter). I can't seem to find browser and photos though. Any info would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
Also, does it sync all photos on the phone or just the photos in DCIM?

I've yet to figure out how to get the "Browser" sync to work... I use Chrome, so the sync is built in. As for the Google Photos, have you checked Picasa?

Yes, I have. Doesn't seem like there's anything there though, but on my phone it said that it was synced. It's kind of weird.

I am having trouble with the google search widget on my ATT skyrocket running ICS 4.0.4. Earlier, when I entered keywords, it would search for web results, local apps and contacts. Now, all of a sudden, it would only bring back web results but no apps or contacts.
I searched the net and forums and various folks have suggested to alter settings to allow apps and contacts to be searched (I've seen screenshots and videos). Funny thing is that this setting is completely missing now.
I tried searching if anyone else is having this issue but there are no other threads about it.
Did the recent OTA update a couple of days ago break the search widget? Any ideas how I can get it to look for installed apps and contacts.

Yes the ota update took it out because in their infinite wisdom the courts held up a patent apple has that has to with searching your phone
