I just got a new Desire S curtisy of O2 in the uk and noticed the HBOOT of 2.00.0002 which is not listed by the Revolutionary 0.4Pre4.
I was just wondering if there was another way or unless im missing somehing obvious.
Thanks in advance

Cheers mate, Just found it :/
Man, these capcha's are SO annoying. WHy the hell on every post someone does? It's just annoying!
ANyways, Back on topic, I'm trying download HTCDEV for 'all other supported phones' from here:
http://htcdev.com/bootloader/
The problem is, It doesnt download. ANd when i change it to another option it still does sweet FA.
Is there anywhere else download this, Specificully, the all other phones option?
THanks for help and heres to the next annoying captcha
EDIT: A reboot sorted that problem out. Weird, but fixed
Well, I followed this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1525100
My phone now says
***UNLOCKED***

eMMC-boot
Its gone from locked to unlocked but isnt it meant to say S-OFF, not S-ON?
THe main problem though is i've loaded REAPER 2.2 Mod with the 2.21 upgrade but it seems to get stuck on a boot loop while booting up
Any idea's?
SOrry for noob questions, I've never done this myself as i got a friend to do it before. ANd thanks for the help
Dude, you have just unlocked the boot loader.
HTC dev unlock process will not give you S-off, also can cause some warranty issues (don't be disheartened)
Now you need to download a custom recovery and flash it via fastboot.
I would recommend 4ext touch.
Then flash any custom ROM. The guide should have all the details.

I've done that, i used 4EXT_Recovery_v2.2.7_RC5.zip and thats ok. I cleared caches, Changed from 3EXT to 4EXT and then installed REAPER 2.2 then used update 2.2.1 over the top.
So i have 4EXT Recovery installed! I installed the ROM (off SDCARD) with this program and when i reboot it goes into a Boot Loop graphic and stays there.
4EXT Recovery Touch is just a touchscreen version of the one i used no?

I want to try change HBOOT to 7.00.1002 and radio to 20.76.30.0835U_3831.19.00.110 bc I got FC com.android.phone with Unofficial "Nightly" CM11.0 (all 3 versions-Thanks developers for working on them). From what I see who have this HBOOT and radio they don't have FC like I do.Can I get exact guide sto S-OFF or anything to get this done?
Have you tried this guide?

Thank you. With that guide I downgraded my hboot by installing RUU_Saga_HTC_Europe_1.47.401.4_Radio_20.28I.30.085AU_3805.06.02.03_M_release_199410_signed and revolutionary S-OFF.Flashed recorvery 4ext touch 1.0.0.6 RC1 and flashed Unofficial "Nightly" CM11.0 [20140228] by devil-kin and everything works. No FC com.android.phone.I can select 2G or 3G without problem.I will try tomorrow to change hboot to 7.00.1002 and radio to 20.76.30.0835U_3831.19.00.110 but for now CM11 works without problems.
Update: After reboot got FC com.android.phone.Switched to 3G and reboot and works good.Tomorrow will try new hboot and radio.
Success in flashing new hboot and radio.Having some issues with CM11 so I restored CM10.2.

Is it now possible to S-OFF a Desire S since the revolutionary site is no longer active ? I can unlock the bootloader via HTCDEV but I'd like to get S-OFF if possible ?

Maybe a slightly naive question......but I obviously need to downgrade my HBOOT to achieve S-OFF on the phone via the Rev method.
Can I restore my HBOOT version back to 2.00.0002 without running another RUU through it or is there another method.
My MIUI ROM works OK under 2.00.0002 should expect problems if it it runs under an earlier version ?
I've just got a new sensation with s-on and h-boot 1.27.000 and official vodafone ics firmware.
I wanted to frlash arhd 6.6.2, but as long as I got there I have to s.off the phone...
But I cannot s-off the phone if it's h-boot 1.27.0000, so what do I have to do?

Hi,
You are right.
1.27.000 is not currently supported.
You have to wait until it is...
No,there is no eta.
So basically I'm stuck with original firmware?
What can I do then, root? scid..? cwm?

Hi,
Yes,you can root and install CWM.
But you can only install ROMS with a 3.32 base(latest ICS)
So,6.6.2 is OK
Ok, thank you.
But I tried to flash the CWM taken from the guide thred putting the PG58IMG.zip in the root of the sd.
But when I start the bootloader it says wrong image...

Hi,
Try THIS ONE
Still says wrong image....
My cid num, got with adb, is: VODAP102.
Should I insert it in android-info?
Should I super cid the phone before cwm?
Youre gonna have to unlock your bootloader by using htc's official method (google it). Then youll be able to install CWM and whatever else. There are limitations, theres a good guide in the development section about htc official bootloader unlocker. Read that before attempting.

Yes you will have to use the HTC Dev method right now if you want to flash a custom ICS ROM being as those are the only ones you will be able to flash with the Hboot you have. But know this ahead of time the HYC De. Unlock is very different then the Revolutionary unlock. Click the link in my sig to learn mote about the HTc Dev unlock and what it allows you to do. But if I was you I would just wait until Revolutionary supports Hboot 1.27.0000, or someone comes up with a Hboot downgrade for the Sensation cause the HTC Dev method does not fully unlock all portitions except the radio portition like Revolutionary does. Plus it leaves evidence your bootloader has been unlocked so HTC can say your warranty is void. Check out this post to as it gives a little more insight on HTC Dev unlock.
So to root the device I have to CWM it, to CWM it I need to unlock the bootloader?
But, If not rooted, unlocked nor CWModded, can I just install ARHD?
Ok, let's take it the other way round:
My phone is locked, hboot 1.27.0000, S-on, cid VODAP102 and not rooted, but last official stock ics.
Now I want to install last ARHD, what should I do and how??

To flash AHRD you will have to have a unlocked bootloader, either by HTC Dev method or by Revolutionary method. Now as stated by you, malybru, and myself we all know Revolutionary is not compatible with Hboot 1.27.0000 (as of right now), which your device currently has. So this leaves only the HTC Dev method. Now I personally agree with others here on XDA, I would normally stay far away from unlocking via HTC Dev. But seeing as you bought your Sensation new with Hboot 1.27.0000, you really have no other alternative but to wait for Revolutionary to update or for some other means of unlocking becomes available. Also if you do manage to downgrade your Hboot you will have to use HTC Dev to do it.
Now I am in no way saying you should use HTC Dev, nor am I advocating HTC Dev. I am just trying to inform you. What you do with your device is your choice and your choice only. But what ever you do, please post back here with your decision and if applicable any results.
Also if you was wondering why you have to use HT Dev to downgrade Hboot, read this post. Yeah I know it is for GB ROMs but I imagine the same probably holds true for ICS. I mean it is the HTC Dev unlock that allowsyou to downgrade in that senario. But what do I know.

Sure, exploit H.Boot 1.27.0000 for S-Off is revolution, new model of HTC phone is same like HTC_One
****ing S-ON policy HTC because you total locked us
And that is why HTC always following behind Samsung nowadays
I'm waiting XDA revolution
Hi,
I'm new to this forum and new nothing about rooting until a few days ago...quickly discovered the fact that Revolution does not support 1.27.
I unlocked with HTC DEV, ran recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.0.9-pyramid.img using Fastboot CLI.
After that I backed up my stock Vodafone ICS ROM using CWM then switched to the XDA guide for rooting with su-2.3.6.3 and followed rest of XDA guides for installing a ROM (really useful guides - Thanks!!)
Within an hour I had gone from stock Vodafone ICS to Virtuous Inquisition-v4.0.1
I'll admit I got hooked up on flashing recovery and was given some guidance by a friendly soul but figured the rest out from this forum..

I believe the OP meant that HTC Dev did not work to unlock their boatloader. A lot of people have posted saying that they had problems using HTC Dev unlock.
Hi everyone,
I bought my sensation over a year ago. And I did everything like Unlock Bootloader, S-OFF, 4EXT recovery and Super CID. Unfortunately, my phone's screen was dead last week and I sent it to the HTC center to repair.
Today after receiving my phone, I noticed that HTC did something related to bootloader, etc that I dont know how to say. Now I wanna restore the ROM from the backup but cannot do it because I can not go to the recovery.
I did S-OFF, Recovery long time ago so I dont remember exactly what should I do now. My bootloader is showing:
****Locked****
Pyramid PVT Ship S-OFF
HBoot 1.27.0000
Radio 11.23.3504.07_M2
So please somebody help me on that. Thank you guys very much!
EDIT: As the bootloader says, so my phone is already S-OFFed. Thus I just need to unlock the bootloader (?) and flash the 4EXT recovery?

If that doesn't work , yes unlock the bootloader again, re flash 4ext recovery, then you should be good to go

I would like to S-OFF, and get it running like my other phone, if anyone can help me, I would be willing to donate the other phone, shipping paid, to the person of your choice ( Do note the phone has a problem with mic, where the volume is low, its probably dirty, but im too scared to try to take it apart, and would rather it be put to good use.)
EDIT: Got it past the white HTC screen for now, dont know why this time it is so difficult...
it boots HTC in green letters, then the HTC QUIETLY BRILLIANT, and lastly TMOBILE stick togeter, and then it reboots. I flashed it with 4EXT Recovery Touch in SMART MODE, but idk if it matters if im S-OFF or S-ON or what I am suppose to boot..
