Already did that but didn't work because it was only for AT&T. I bought it from telcel in mexico.
Another option to update it?

You would need to gain s off and custom recovery with advanced ace hack kit (aahk) and then find a custom Rom that supports your carrier.

Hey all,
Before making this thread, I DID search, maybe not closely enough...
Anyways, just wondering if anyone has heard of when Bell/Virgin Mobile will be getting the 2.3.4 OTA for the Sensation? It seems like every carrier except Bell has been given this update.
They seemed pretty quick with 2.33? I'd imagine we wouldn't take much longer. How would you update if you're on Telus; do you still get the Bell OTAs by virtue of using a bell phone?

Bell Sensation 2.3.4 Update
I am on bell and still nothing its already September 13th......
What the hell is taking them so long?
I received the ota update last week....
just check for updates..
Nothing yet
Still on stock rom, BTW what rom are you guys using in Toronto with rogers, any recommendations?
Thanks
I'm with Bell on stock 2.33 and I'm puzzled at the lack of the update too. They came out pretty quick with the last OTA and aren't we already on 2.35 or so?
For the way they're constantly advertising this phone, I'd expected more timely updates at least for now.
Checked today and still nothing

Post the file .zip
If someone already has the update, please post it, find the file in the folder called download in the memory card, should be called OTA_Pyramid_etc etc. ..
Thanks..

Can we expect that?
If yes any news?
Yep, I believe there is a Chinese 2.3.5 leak.
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda premium
since there are already 2.3.5 with sense leaks there will obviously be an official OTA.
Not at all obvious but I'd say highly likely
Who cares about 2.3.5.. I just want 4.0

Yup, and I have no need to root or change from a stock ROM, never needed to with my HD2 on WM6.5 either, or my HD before that. O2 have yet to give me a phone or update with bugs, so I'm happy to wait for their 2.3.4 update, but just wish it was sooner
Well I live in Denmark. I unpacked my Sensation and put in the Simcard, charged the phone. As I started the phone and it was in Android it told me that I could download Android 2.3.4 update...
Maybe that is because my phone isn't branded?

I have a Rogers o3d, and it seems to ship with some Asian languages... I see three listed in the settings menu, but I'm afraid I couldn't tell you which ones they are

may i ask u another question?
is there a rogers logo when the phone boots up? thx
also can i set it to be 2g only? because i dont have a 3g plan
if there is a rogers logo when the phone boots up, is it possible to remove it?
Hello again
Yeah it has the red Rogers splash screen. You could debrand it via the methods described in the development forum.
I'm pretty sure any android can do 2g only, this one can anyway.
Cheers

I unlocked , installed custom on my phone, then I relocked my bootloader and flash stock att2.20 by running ruu.exe. now, everytime I checked for software update, it always says service unavailable. Do you guys know anything about this problem? Btw, my phone is unlocked and use T-Mobile.

You realize you can't update a stock AT&T device via T-Mobile, even if you're using a T-Mobile sim card?

It always puzzles me why do people on custom ROMs want to get OTAs?
AT&T JB isn't rolling out yet. When it does, it will get posted in Development in a TWRP-flashable rooted form.
I also doubt the OTA will feature much (if anything) that is not already present in the JB Sense ROMs already up in Development, plus all of AT&T's bloatware crap and other meddling. Possibly including a new hboot that will mess up even more stuff this time.

Do you have any friends who are on VZW and have either a Moto X or iPhone 5/5S? The reason I ask, is because those 2 phones take a nano SIM card like the M8 does. When a software update comes out, try using their SIM card in your phone to take the update. That's the easiest way I can think of.

Well you might be stuck then without rooting and ROM'ing your phone. Hopefully sometime else might know. Sorry I couldn't help you more.

I'm pretty sure you'll have to s-off and then root your phone to push the firmware update.
the Red Viper ROM
So given that my phone is in the same situation as the original poster, all I have to do is to s-off and root my phone to push the update?
How would the update be done if it's rooted? I just want to update the firmware, I have no intention of adding a custom rom or anything, just whatever sense version is the latest on verizon now

Yes, you should be able to install just the firmware/radios. There is a thread in the android development section specifically for the installation of the firmware/radios. You will definitely need s-off to install them. There is also a thread on that - it's actually really easy. I had my brand new m8 s-off'd and rooted in about 20 minutes.
