Check DroidUptime on the market and use it so we can get a bigger team on the uptime project let's all see how many days we can keep our droids running
you deleted me from the team. im guessing cuz none of mine are phones? cant get this app to update stats is why

To remove what? You don't have to be on wifi, just get an internet connection. Yes, I removed you because you didn't have any phone in there Now that you do, just ask to join in again
its working now. for some reason it just didnt work at all, i guess doing it with wifi first made behave and work on 3g

Sure Just let it run...
I installed this twice on my N1, FC's when I try to start it... instantly.
After the first try failed I rebooted, cleared caches, started up again but still the same issue..
Anyone else with this problem? Check my signature for ROM/kernel/...

I restored to a previous rom with the old market and had the same issue yet my daughter's Magic and my old Hero both work fine. I tested the Hero with my Google ID.

It looks like a Samsung Galaxy issue so far. Go figure. I am fed up with anything Samsung.

It's hit or miss though, some users are not having any problems. I just had 2 friends try on their Captivates and they both are working fine. Tried on Wi-Fi and 3G.

For the hell of it, I loaded Axura and same issue with that ROM. Frustrating.

Agreed, I don't believe the issue is relative to Samsung but with the market. The more people who report it to Google the quicker we get it fixed.

Same problem here guys with my unlocked european version of galaxy s, i tried everything flashing new rom including original 2.1, 2..2 and even 2.2.1(jpu) and the problem still exist ''youre device may not be compatible with android market'' this is so annoying..... i'm disappointed by samsung great hardware but ****ty software

Thanks but no change for me. Still cannot download anything I need especially Appbrain so I can easily restore all my other apps. I searched for some others manually like Angry Birds, Appbrain, Quadrant, Voice etc. Still cannot locate them. All the apps listed seem to be test apps.

Still no dice. I installed that market.apk, rebooted, tried again, fail, then applied SGS Tools market fix, rebooted, same issue. I am thinking it is a Google server side issue that needs to be fixed.
Hi, i have a problem with my smartwatch 2. I just got it today and went threw the pairing process and what not but, when i want to go to the homescreen on the watch this happens i press the power button,press the home button, screen go's blank then goes back to the clock screen. Anyone experience this problem? ifso, i would i fix it? I tried re installing the software and unpairng etc and nothing works.

Crap, I have exactly the same issue, did you get it resolved?
Try to reset the watch. Cut the BT on the phone so it doesn't start pairing, go into the tools on the watch and chose reset.
Put the watch off and now delete pairing on the phone and reboot it to be sure the watch is no longer paired.
Now start the pairing process all over.

Thanks, already tried that too. Update was successful, reconnected etc. then still the same problem. Got Sony on chat, after trying a load of things they told me to return it...

Mine too. Suddenly decided after a week to continually disconnect from phone. Get a message saying 'unfortunately smartwatch 2 had stopped working'. Tried every reset. Annoyingly it works fine on my wife's galaxy s4. Really hope it's not the z1 that's knackered! Returning on Monday.

If it works fine with your wife's s4 than its not the problem with the watch.
Its the problem on your phone with smartwatch 2 app.
Try to delete data and reinstall app on phone, delete pairing and reset watch and start again.
Bad watch is the one that doesnt work on any phone...

Yeah, hopefully mine will be picked up today, but I'm told it may be up to 14 days for replacement. And they kept talking about repair when talking on the phone when it was DOA, hopefully they took on board that it just needs replaced...

Sound stop randomly in facebook,youtube,deezer etc. When stop all speaker sounds stop include calls and nottifications. In security mode problem persisted and factory reset not solve. Hardware problem or a gapp conflict?

I had the same issue a few times. Music stops, and if I click pause and play again, it just plays for a milisecond, and then silence again. I wanted to write here about that issue, but it happened 3-4 times in two months. Closing and opening the app which was playing sound solves the problem for me.
I've flashed a newer stock rom in odin, but the bug was still present. But that's definitely a software bug, samsung should know about it.

For me its happen every day. I try different stock rom and nothing. I thinking send it to rma. Its a stupid fault for high end phones.

Try installing south east europe rom, XXU1BPH1 version, it didn't happen to me since that (august) update

I have the XXU1BPH1. The phone install september security update but nothing new. I believe the solution is send for rma but i think its a hard problem to solved. Samsung guys reset phone and test two minutes and its ok. Maybe with nougat problem its solved but the update come far away.
Did anyone find a solution for this problem, or contacted Samsung? It's very annoying, and it started happening to me very often.

Nothing. My go two times for warranty with videos for the problem and only restore factory settings and problem persists.
I can't believe it. I mean, that's a major bug if U ask me. I've heard that many people have the same issue. I'll contact samsung about it, maybe the nougat update fill fix it, but who knows when that will come.

It didn't happen to me for a month or more after a reset. So I guess it would be good to wait some time
But keep us updated here, if it's really whatsapp that's causing problems, at least we know who to blame!
Forget the whatsapp. I found the problem in my. Its hardware. Finally i have a way to show in store the problem. Try play a song or youtube video and apply pressure on back of the phone down the camera. Try in yours and tell me something

Hello all. Often I get lag and camera failed error. It happens mostly when I launch camera from double press off power key, into video mode. The camera is unusable for some time.
*How do I update the camera APK from APK mirror. I always get app not installed when side loading system apps. This issue I had on previous Samsung flagships.
is the app your trying to sideload signed ? are you rooted ? sorrry they seem like obvious questions and i think i remember your name from back in the day on the evo 3d forum ??? so your not new to this, but had to check

Thanks for reply. I mean they are from APK mirror but not sure if signed. I'm not rooted and have no plans to.

I would not side load this.
There may be a glitch with using the side key to launch it.
Try in safe mode to rule out a 3rd party app...
Keep trashware social media apps like WhatsApp, Tic-tok, FB, etc off the phone.
Clear system cache.
Clear cam data and try again.
thought the name seemed familiar, think weve crossed paths several times with various devices over the years, you would need root to sideload it im quite sure, as it would be trying to overwrite the original app

Definitely miss the days of flashing custom roms and having the phone freeze up so you miss your alarm to wake up for work lol

lol, yeah especially with the evo3d it was great but custom roms were not great, i think maybe leedroid and king cobra were about the only stable ones, and remember the zeppelinrox v6 supercharger script , ah memories, those were the days
Go to Device Care and in memory clear the cache apps. Now try the side switch cam thing, after it launches go immediately back to Device Care and see what apps loaded since it was cleared.
It may give a clue to the cause. I've used this technique to track down some nasty little buggers. It's saved me from a factory reset.

I'm using the old banned 360 degrees variant, I firewall block it. Works really good.

This problem occurs more than you might think. I am extremely annoyed at paying dearly for a smartphone full of annoying problems. I get even more annoyed because Samsung doesn't release software updates to fix this. The last update for my version was released in Feb.
