Hi Hardi75;
I have this model and i need to root it, because i have a problem with headset. problem isn't hardware, but software. i think with another ROM it solve the problem.
I send you an image of the Kernel, and when it's possible, the boot.img
Thanks in advance for your kindness and help.

use this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1847136.
You need to be familiar with Cygwin (a Linux environment in Windows).
This guide is almost complete EXCEPT some of the file need update (7z.exe)

As far as I know, all MTK6577 based phone can be root using this method. But, I hold no warranty if you brick your phone, or you might want to wait for someone to create a simplified software to root this phone. If you're looking for a the scatter file, get it here

Wow that was better I think, but any step will do, as the most important is to gain root access itself.

Karbonn A9+ Development thread

Hi there!
It's Droidiser again. Saw there wasn't any development thread for the Karbonn A9+, so the users couldn't get together and work for some development on this device.
A quick overview of the device first:
1 GHz dual core processor
10.1 inch capacitive touch screen with 480x800 resolution
5 MP front camera
Ah, you can find the specs eveywhere, let's get to the stuff you will find nowhere:
Update: Rooting guide for Karbonn A9+
Just like Karbonn A11, these steps will work perfectly on Karbonn A9+
Download Bin4ry rooting tool from his thread.
Install drivers on your windows pc using pdanet.
Connect your phone to your pc.
Unzip Bin4ry's tool and run the RunMe.bat batch script.
Follow the instructions that roll in the command window and you will be done.
Let's see if some developer ports cwm or some other custom recovery to it.
Give your feedback, dear A9+ owners. Let's get it started! :fingers-crossed:
Hi good day, I was also wondering if there would be a CWM or ROM MOD available for the A9+, i would be having a smartphone that is a rebranded Karbonn a9+ from our country, i have found rooting procedures hope we can have cwm as well thank you.

No clockwork mood recovery as of yet.
Is anyone facing issue with capacitive buttons if the phone is kept on a table or any surface not in hand. Mine work if I am holding in hand but hardly register a touch if kept on a surface. Start working again if charger is connected on surface. Screen is also less responsive on table/surface.

Thanks droidiser, rooted the Karbonn A9+, also just to comment in the Instructions, add an instruction NOT to "Run as Admin" the "RunMe.bat", causes "File not Found" Errors in the Batch file, another thing would be to also update it to the latest version. Hope this helps other people trying to root the device
anyone tried this yet?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771347
this way we can dump rom to get the original stock rom which is required for future developements...
Thanks a lot droidiser! You made my day by letting me root my device with your method! Kudos! :good:
a mistake...you wrote 10.1 inch
Hi anyone checked if the Karbonn A9+ supports ext2 partitions?
intersectRaven said:
I've already uploaded the working CWM recovery on my kernel site here:
http://intersectraven.euroskank.com/recovery/Flare
It's not flashable yet since it exceeds current maximum size of ~10MB so you can only use it using the fastboot boot command. Also, a nandroid doesn't work yet since it seems to reboot midway. Everything else seems to be fine although I haven't tried the more dangerous options like wipes, formats, etc.

Checking on this development Kudos! to intersectRaven. Now is there anybody there the can check to see if this is working and try to repartition it to make it smaller? It is confirmed to work with fastboot. I'm having difficulty creating a system dump from my unit so that in case something goes wrong I can always go back to stock firmware..

hello,
I have a proscan PLT 9045k (RK2928 chip). I have managed to root, got google playstore installed and working. before I go much further with any modifications I want to be able to restore my system if something happens. I found [CWM] CWM-based Recovery for RK3188/RK3066/RK2928/RK2926/RK2918/RK2906 tried to install but invalid. ready to try adb install but would like to be able to flash a rom if something fails. I have a filedownloaded from the mfr site. Don't know how to get to stock recovery on this device. I use "adb recovery" but that gets me the android with red triangle. I'm familiar with some flashing procedures with samsung galaxy phones but this tablet is a different animal lol. any help appreciated.
Thanks Sean
Update: Got CWM installed using the "root shell" method. are there any custom roms available for this tab? will any rom for a RK2928 device work for this?

Then try Z4Root, SRSRoot, SuperOneClick.
Enough possibilities
But do you know how they work?
using odin....
While I googled I found, Chain Fire odin flashing is the most popular for my phone. But it seems to be varying for each firmware version. And for my 19300XXEMA5 I cant find any method or cf root .md5 file. Thats why I seeked xda....

Yes, SRSRoot is definitely safe, I used 3 times to root a device, twice it didn't do it and nothing bad happened, so it's safe.
It's a universal one click root program for android 4.0 or higher.
Link to SRSRoot site: http://www.srsroot.com/
Don't forget to enable usb-debugging and install the correct drivers for your device.
Hope it'll work now
