Hey guys,
when do you think Whatsapp and other apps will come out with added functionality for Jelly Bean Notifications? Like replying from the notification bar itself, etc?
Thanks,
Sahil

I have the same problem with my news and weather widget on my Nexus S, yet my wife's Nexus S's widget is working and we both have stock Jelly Bean 4.1.1 and are on the same network.
See below for a possible solution:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28966169&postcount=29
Basically the poster removed the widget from the home screen, cleared the app data in settings, readded the app and refreshed. Unfortunately for me I still get the network error message after the widget loads everything correctly initially.
Same here, doesn't work.

This seem to be a temporary problem with the data provider, see:

Having the same issue on Galaxy S2 on Android4.0.3 ,its been like that since this morning, i even cleared cache to no result, guess it is a server side issue.
I like this widget a lot, a glance at my HS and i have the latest local and international news headlines and weather, its very convenient,i hope its fixed soon.
Anyone have any luck getting the widget to work?

Checked on Nexus S, HTC Desire, HTC Desire S, Asus Slider, Sony Tablet S and it's not working on any of the devices.
It's not a connection problem, the Google servers just don't send data back.
My guess: they disabled it for everyone because it doesn't have that much users and Google wants you to use Google Now or the web app.
Same issue here using the Samsung Galaxy S II running CyanogenMod 9.
same on i9023
hi,
i have got the same issue with news & weather widget on my i9023 since the ota update yesterday...
next issue:
accu is drained by the data-sync service, i didn't changed any setting after the jelly bean update (4.1.1, google now is deactivated) and now this service uses about 75 percent of total. when i deactivate the sync, the drain stops...
issue #3:
the device gets warm while loading or usage. it's not the accu, it's above the accu on the back, where the sim-card is located
anyone any ideas?
thx

I doubt they just disabled it for everyone. Jellybean isn't universally out for most devices. Not sure which web app your referencing.
There are people with the galaxy nexus with this widget not working too.....
Anyone know of another news and weather widget I could use for now

All of the Google apps use it if I'm remembering correctly, and the battery widget app seems to use it as well. Other than that, I haven't noticed anything else...

Jelly news. Google reader in the notification bar. Impractical for my needs, but for someone with less news to read, it may be nice.

Does anyone know if this is confirmed? I got the OTA update via clearing the Google framework trick. After upgrading to 4.1 I have found that I don't get expandable notifications with emails that I receive on Gmail.
Edit: Nevermind. I got the expanded preview to work by dragging 2 fingers over the email notification.
Tunein Radio has it.

Did anyone else get a message today that Facebook notifications were turned off due to our phones not supporting push notifications?
I didn't receive any such notification and mine are still showing up in the notification bar.

Err.. Yeah, that'd be helpful..
I'm running Scott's latest CM10 build.

I'm running the same ROM and haven't received that message. Although, I use Friendcaster instead of the official Facebook app, so perhaps that's why?

Edit: found a thread in the theme and app section!
Edit 2: seems to have some weire issue with recieving blank messages from iphone users.... I really need 100% functionality ....as much as I love aosp mms

Hi!
After I updated my p6800 to jelly bean, the quick reply option (where it shows an arrow beside the sms in the notification shade) seems to be gone. It's very convenient as it just launches the mini message app over the current app i'm using. I flashed the two updates available for us (philippines) and did factory reset a few times but nothing works.
Hope someone can help and just tell me that i'm just doing something wrong and point me to the right direction.
Thanks.
What Rom did you have before? I don't recall that feature in ics.

If you want mini apps, press Arrow and edit
Sent from my GT-P6800 using xda app-developers app
On honeycomb, the quick reply would be a word near the sms on the notification shade as "reply". When pressed, it would launch the mini message app on top of whatever you were doing. On ics the word "reply" was changed to a curved arrow. Now on jelly bean the feature is now gone. I liked it a lot coz I prefer to text with this phone rather than calling.
