selective app killer? - Asus Transformer TF700

Hello. My favorite browser, ICS+, misbehave's sometime. All it needs is a quick force stop. What app will let me quickly stop only that, and is quick to navigate to the browser to stop.
Thanks.

I use ES-task manger for task like this....

I think this will work. Big thanks. It's hard to find the right app sometimes.

Working fine here on 2.3.3. It's not listed under Manage Apps at all?

mine has gone too, I don't use it so not really fussed.
It seems that it is just the shortcut that has stopped working. Try opening it from the app drawer. Delete the shortcut and recreate it and it should work.

its gone from app draw...
Hmmm, strange. Recreating the shortcut worked for me. Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling it? What about rebooting? I've noticed occasionally apps disappearing from the app drawer, but usually a reboot brings them back.

How do I close the stock browser immediately?

I love the stock browser, and particularly the instant menu that appears when you touch the right edge.
But I find it quite annoying that its developers haven't though of including an option to immediately close the browser, with and without clearing cache and history. A solution like hitting Home/TaskSwitcher/Kill is an idiotic design decision... as is to just leave the browser open in the background.
How do we reach the developers?
This is feature not a bug. Having the browser "open" in the background is not costing you anything. This is the way android is supposed to work.
Tap the "X" to close the tab and the browser will close.
I know it looked funny at first, but like he said, the close button "X" is right below the "+"

a quick question

ok, when i click on internet on my one s it always opens the last page i visited, sometimes this is great but most of the time i want to search for something, now ive set www.google.co.uk as my homepage hoping that when i click on internet it will open google straight away but its still opening from last webpage i was on.
is there a way to have my home page open soon as i open the internet please ?
Thanks in advance
Unfortunately not that I know of. Unless you close the tabs that you were using before you exit the browser. Or go to the home page manually, and then swipe Internet off Recent Apps.

Ahhh right, that's a bit disappointing........thanks for reply
Why not use the google search app or widget to search... it will open the browser
Close all tabs, open home page. Close browser and it should pop up next time you open browser. That's what I had to do

[Q] how to force the use of a selected app avoiding choice menu

Hi to you all.
I am not using the default browser or the default calendar.
However, each time I open an internet link it asks me which browser to use and if it is punctual or permanent.
When I select permanent it directs me towards settings/general/applications by default.
When I go there, I only find the choice between Touchwiz and Nova my launcher, nothing on browser choice (or Calendar for which I have same issue): no other menu...
Could someone advise where I got it wrong?
Thanks a lot

usually if should ask which app to use and give a choice of always or just once. What country is yours from? maybe it is a regional thing.

Easily close Chrome tabs and Chrome application?

Some time ago Chrome on Android removed the ability to have your tabs in the app switcher. Now every time I'm done web browsing I have to manually close the tabs the go to my app switcher and close the Chrome app again. Any easier way to do this?

There's an Closed module called "Chrome Pie" which gives you the ability to add pie menu items to chrome. Including an "exit/close" pie item.
