I bought Galaxy Note 10.0 since few days and i discovered 2 problems :
First: The Video Make app didn't work , when you press the icon it loading and screen start flashing in a blank screen and continue flash until i exit
i tried to clear data for this app from Application manager but still didn't work .... anyone have this problem ?
Second: I can't transfer files via Direct Wi-Fi , i tried to send a file from the Note to my other device S II but it didn't work , i tried also to send file
from the S ii to the Note , it work that mean Direct Wi-Fi n Note can receive but can't send .... anyone ?
last question: what do you feel guys for the battery performance ..... Thanks

guys i just want to ask on how to access the internet in my garmin asus m10 running windows mobile 6.5.3. I tried to connect in wi-fi but even though it display "connected" i still can't use the internet because when i "tapped" the "internet explorer" it still display "page not found" something like that and i still can't access any website. i tried many wi-fi but i still can't access any website.i tried my other phone garmin asus a10 and it worked.please help me what to do.should i change any setting to connect in the internet?

when the device off, press and hold power on+volume down and follow instructions on screen

i recently bought spice mi 270 android phone. it is dual sim ,200mhz cpu, 190mb ram, 271mb rom phone. it comes preloaded with lots of crapware. so i downloaded appdelete application from android market to delete those. at first i rooted the phone with z4root which i got from xda forum. then i start deleting the crapwares. but in mean while i also deleted some systeem apps like launcher , keyboard. i use launcher pro and multiling keyboard so i thought these two were useless. everthing going fine untill today when i factory reset my phone to wipe out other apps and to get clean os. there now phone starts but remain on android setup screen asking for account info then closes itself with force close and there is only blank sceen comes with time and battry bar at the top. as i suspect restoration of launcher and keybord mostly retore phone back to normal. is there any I can recover my phone to Normal.

but i get to know that it is not about my removal of applications but android market malware infect it
so i go to customer service center and replace it
now i have new phone
and specially not using market at all
for review
1. good phone
2. moderately responsive
3. remove crap ware with app delete download from net
4. phone becomes super responsive
5.battery life is very less like 1 and 1/2 day with moderate use
6.overall nice phone at price of 4800 rs
u want know anything more message here.
now looking for someone to develop gingerbread rom for this

does deleting stock crap apps increase the speed? can the touch be made more responsive?

Ya..I'm having this phone for about two weeks now and its great for its price. I guess its the only Android in India for below Rs.5k. The best part of it being that its dual gsm sim and its branded
You need to remove all bloatware like reuters, yahoo stuffs and other apps thats pre-installed in it. Z4root works like a charm.
I'm getting a battery life of around 24 hours and more for normal usage...like half hour of talk, around two hours of wifi browsing and extensive messaging. But the recharging time just amazes me. It recharges from 0% to 90% in less than 40mins!

no i didnt get any descent antivirus for it but now i sideload the apps. removing crap ware from phone although makes phone faster.

The only thing that I could not connect my phone through ADB. I have installed the driver. Windows can see my ADB device . But adb can not see my device.
Can you please tell me how did you connect through adb? If you can still boot into recovery then u can flash your rom also. You need to get the official rom because I did not find any patched rom for dual sim over the net.

no adb
no i cant connect it through adb but u can use mobiledit to connect it to PC and use it as a PC suit
works perfectly
as for recovery mode
press menu and home button together then press power button u reach recovery mode
press home button and return button together then press power button u get factory testing mode
still cant figure out the adb connection
come on Google improve Ur OS to connect to PC
also they should bring common PC suit for all androids
I find the wifi to be very weak too! anybody else face the same issue?
Thanks a lot k2wl for sharing your experience. Still I could not figure out the ADB . One more frustrating fact is that there is no custom ROM available for dual sim android. Even there is no good dialer for dual sim android................

I have bricked my Mi-270 . I replaced a system library with a modified one for installing DSP manager. Now it is not booting. I need to connect through ADB to restore the original system library. I cant connect with ADB... How did u solve your problem?? Did you service it ?

i don't know about what dsp manager do but replacing system library is bad thing to do... and ya i go to service center and get my mi-270 replaced....
just go service center tell them phone is not booting up since morning...u switch off it off yesterday night & now it's not booting up. that what i hav done.
alternatively try to boot in factory mode / recovery mode & try to wipe out the user partion

Thanks for your reply. I have already given my phone to service centre for replacement.
For adb my experience is same as with you. I have also tried on ubuntu , windows 7 32 bit as well as 64 bit but no luck.
I have come across over some internet forum that all these cheap Chinese phones are running some modified versions of android and OS images are loaded on ROM by some specific Chinese software.
In one forum , they described the flashing procedure. You need to remove the battery and then connect your phone with a windows based pc. Then you have to install the driver for that particular chinese software. Then you can flash your rom. It was described for some other chinese make dual sim android.
And remember you need to have the spice official rom image coz no other custom rom is available for this model as of now.

What are apps you removed from the rom by appdelete??
it all depends on you... what u like & what u dont like
i recommend u to read http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Barebones for removing the apks
just remember that removing google core apks is risky....

i got mine replaced on same day.
i have made an interesting observation today.... may be im wrong but here it is
the battery of nokia c6-00 and spice mi-270 have same dimensions and same battery pin outs. so may be c6-00 battery is compatible with our handset mi-270 .
this is just a observation but i think somebody who has access to c6-00 and mi-270 can confirm this plz.

Today I got my phone back. I have never seen such worst customer service. I had to write to the MD of spice group. Anyway I got my phone back and it is working .
But still ADB does not work. I will be writing to their service manager .
I will try to get a battery of C6-00 and check the compatibility.

Yes I do agree with you that the wifi is very weak.Install wifi analyzer from the market to find the best position for wifi reception.Connect the headphones to get an improvement in wifi reception.
Have you found the MEID number required to enter into spice club membership form to get 3 months extended warranty ?

Hi guys i have a problem with my IP address when i go to settings>about phone>status my IP address says unavailable ive tried switching my phone off but nothing works i think this is affecting my wifi as well because it also says settings not responding when i switch it on and when i use other applications to switch it on they fail when they are collectiing my wifi address someone please help me i miss WiFi:crying::crying:
Since you didn't post the device information (ie phone model) nor the router you use, it doesn't allow us forums users to give you the best options to troubleshoot the problem your having
Some generic options to try
1) try powercycling the router (linksys have a tendency of dropping Wifi connections)
2) check to see if the wifi toggle is on (the settings menu)

It looks like your efs has been missing.If you have a backup.Restore it.
Flash the modem separately may help too.

I am also facing this same problem (Bluetooth & IP address unavailable) since 2 days back and i tried to switch off & on my Samsung S4 (I-9500 GT).
The thing is that i have never manually backed up my phone or this EFS, so advice me a solution to overcome this problem.

if you r having problem with efs file then try this.
1> you need to root your phone first. check out forums there are tons of tut's available.
2> goto this post and download efs professional zip.(you have to extract it)
3> enable usb debugging in developers mode and make sure you have all the usb/adb drivers installed on your phone.(install universal adb drivers that will work fine)
4> open efs professional.exe and connect your device.
5> now go to backups tab and select your device under device filter tab and then click backup. wait for backup to be complete.
6> now go to restore tab and under backup archives select one of the .tar.gz file I prefer (device)(although it doesn't matter) and hit resotre.
7> your device will reboot and you are done.
if you still have the problem
download root explorer and goto efs folder in root directory. then find this file - 'nv_data.bin.md5' and delete it and restart the phone.

I have
1- mobile Samsung galaxy note 2 running android resurrection remix lollipop 5.1.1
2- computer running ubuntu 10.16
bluetooth on my mobile showing my computer is connected and under paired devices showing name ubuntu and used for has a check mark next to the only option there (audio media)
bluetooth on my computer my mobile showing connected (on) paired (yes) under bluetooth settings
every time I send a file from my mobile to my computer it fails with stating (connection unsuccesful)
every time I send a file from my computer to my mobile ubuntu states experienced an internal error and gives me 2 options send the error report or ignore it - I tried to send file from my computer to my mobile once via bluetooth setting and once via bluetooth manager but both fail with the same error.
Can anyone help me fix this problem, please?

Both operating systems may be the culprit
The only options you have are
1- get a log from your phone and send it to your rom developer , he can figure out if there`s something rom with the bluetooth in his rom
2- try to pair and transfer files using other devices , this way you`ll know if your computer or your phone have a problem

So i Installed a game which requires further download after being installed, Then it just stuck at 0/100 i thought it just wasnt working in my region , however i tried installing it on another device (Samsung A7 2018 running android 9)in my home using the same WiFi , it worked and was downloaded??(downloaded from the same source)
So my thoughts are that for some reason my device just refuses to download from this app as some form of protecetion ? ? But why and how can it be fixed?
The app itself doesnt require any access so i think disabling Location wont do anything but i will try anyway.
Also , i couldnt find the files downloaded / data for it in android data or obb , all i find is 10mb file while the game data is 500~700 , so where to find these data to just send it to my phone .?
Im running android 9 Samsung A80 on latest software update.
