[UCJK2] ADB wireless apps "lock" su access - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

So, about... 7 months ago, I installed ADBWireless onto my freshly-rooted Skyrocket running UCJK2. It, and all other root-related functions, have worked beautifully. That is, up until about a month ago, when I noticed an odd behavior occurring on the phone. Everything root-related was non-functioning. After popping open a terminal emulator and trying to hand-start su, I was greeted with a dead terminal and not a working root terminal. ^C-ing gave me a # terminal, which appeared to have root access. Chalking it up to a random glitch, I rebooted the phone and everything was fine once more. However, about 2 days ago, I tried using ADBWireless again, and noticed it was triggering this "lock" on su and was not working. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app did nothing. Using a different app did, once again, the same thing. Using setprop seems to still work when enabling WiFi ADB.
I really, REALLY don't want to reflash or do a factory reset.
What should I do?

[Q] Voice Search Resetting

So I'm having a really strange issue. I got my Atrix 2 a few weeks ago after owning the OG since it launched. I'm currently running 2.3.6 Stock Deodexed installed via CWM restore in bootstrap. Everything is working fine, except this: the Voice Search app, which I use a lot, continually reverts itself to default settings. As long as the app is running, it behaves normally, but when I kill the process, reboot the phone, or too much time passes, it seems to wipe out its own data. As a result, nearly every time I use it, I get this first run dialog asking me if I want to enable personalized recognition and a tutorial overlay. I've selected both options multiple times and the issue persists. A few things:
1) I'm not sure if this has been happening since the beginning, because I've been rooted and deodexed in some form or fashion since the 2nd day I had it. I don't remember initially having a problem, though. Maybe someone running straight stock with no mods could test this?
2) I use local data encryption for both the SD Card and the app storage, as required by my corporate exchange server. That's the only thing I can think of that might be causing this.
3) I've reinstalled the app multiple times.
4) It seems like Voice Search can't be moved to the SD card.
Anyone else having this problem?

s a matter of fact, I have had it happen to me a couple of times too. I'm running lfabor's SC_V5 Update 2 though.
Now I shall reply to you statements / questions:
When I was running stock 2.3.5 or 2.3.6 I didn't have this issue.
I do not use encryption as its not required for my corporate sync (nor is my phone a company phone)
I have not tried to reinstall it, as I dont use very often, and only had to he issue happen a couple of times. This is also because lfabor placed it in the
system directory, and I've been to lazy to move it out.
The reason it can't be moved to SD is because the SD storage has to be enabled by the developer of the app.
Also note I am using swiftkey X for my keyboard, but if you are having issues with stock I don't think swiftkey is to blame.
I have not
I have had this issue TONS of times on a 100% stock not even rooted phone. I think there is just something screwed up, I dont think it's because of anything you did. My SD card is not encrypted, and I am also using Swiftkey X (but I doubt its swiftkey X). Infact I think it even used to happen before I started using swiftkey x.
I have the same issue, and I'm also using Swiftkey X. I'm sensing a pattern...
While I haven't empirically tested enough, I think the voice search might be resetting every time that Swiftkey gets updated (like with new language files, since that seems to happen quite often).
I'll try to keep track to see if there's a link there.

I'm not using SwiftKey, but I do use the ICS keyboard, so I tried uninstalling it and freezing Swype for good measure. It didn't seem to affect things, at least on my end.
I'm having the same problem. I installed the swiftkey x keyboard to give it a try but uninstalled it when I didn't like it. Have had the problems even since the uninstall. Currently using the stock keyboard with stock rom rooted.

several problems now with gingerclone

unable to clear voicemail notification from status bar, several apps from market not compatible with my device, including terminal emulator, script manager, and rom toolbox. really starting to piss me off.
nevermind, got it working. took a backup a few days after flashing gingerclone(I like to test drive a rom for a few days before taking a backup), so I just restored and everything is working normally again.

Uninstalling major issues

Here's the deal, my moto G (XT1032) WAS working perfectly when Motorola was Google owned. After the first non Google update it started showing some problems. It is currently running on Android 4.4.2 and system version 174.44.1with NO hardware or software mods. The major issue now is that I can't uninstall ANY app, after I hit uninstall in the confirm window the phone reboots every single time, no matter what app. In addition to this, the same thing happens when you try to clear any apps data, also, you can't access the security settings as the settings app crashes every time you try to access security settings, and lastly, sometimes it reboots the phone says that it's optimizing one app of one, it freezes, crashes and reboots again until it is able to start.
THE MAIN ISSUE IS UNINSTALLING, and I have already heard that resetting to factory doesn't work.
Also trying to uninstall from the app launcher, play store or settings gives the same results.
After some fighting with my phone I came up with a solution.
1. Since the phone said that it was optimizing one app always, I assumed the problem was a single app. Then I deduced that app was Floatifications because it messed up with the phone security settings (for the notifications access) and was the most mod-heavy app I has installed lately. So I tried to uninstall it via ADB.
1.1 I had a second issue that the phone didn't recognized that it was connected to a computer. To circumvent this I booted into fastboot menu and I selected the BP tools option. When the phone booted up again with the service app activated it recognized the USB connection to the computer and turned on debugging mode.
2. I tried different commands to uninstall it via ADB, the one that worked was: adb shell pm uninstall -k <package name>
2.1 In this case of floatifications the whole command is 'adb shell pm uninstall -k robj.floating.notifications'
3. After a reboot everything was working normally. Including the USB connection.
For a final remark, I came up with this whole process by trial and error so maybe there is an easier way of doing all this stuff. I also uninstalled in the same process the lockscreen app "Cover" that also requested access to notifications but I don't think that app was the problem since the phone said it was optimizing one app and it isn't as muddy as Floatifications.

Whatsapp Requesting Root Access

Today I reboot my Op3 after a while.
I usually keep it running without any problem and i just reboot a couple of times in a month.
Before this, I've not done anything new, no strange websites, no strange apk, no installation of anything exept for the app HeyMonster, installed a week ago and I've update 2 modules of Xposed (Wifi Password and Youtube Background Player) right before rebooting.
A part from those, I've not done anything that could have created this problem.
So, I reboot.
After that, WhatsApp started to ask to gain root access.
As a normal root app.
But this is not normal at all.
So, I searched around, but i found nothing, I looked in my phone, in services, app, stuff, but i didn't find anything abnormal.
I run a scan of my phone with PandaAntivirus Pro, but it found nothing (not that I was really believing in it).
So, I guess that is a malware that i got from IDon'tKnowWhere.
And I actually don't really know what to do about it.
I Know that reflashing and start over is the sure solution but, before that, I'd like to realize what and why is this happening.
Thanks to anyone
Weird that I too got the same root request from WhatsApp only a while ago. Two requests from "WhatsApp" and "WhatsApp UID". Any leads?

Root Switch Issue

I tried using Root Switch to get snapchat login to work on my rooted device and found that it would just not re-enable no matter how much I tried. I uninstalled, and reinstalled it and it no longer gave me the option to turn it back on (using a little bit of a work around I managed to get the option to appear again) and the same issue still stands, it will not re enable my root.
I am in the same boat
