Need a NANDROID Backup of the stock Rogers 1.94 ROM - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hi,
I really need a NANDROID backup of the stock Rogers 1.94 ROM because, I'm unable to find a RUU. I cannot flash the 1.73 ROM, 'cause my hboot version is superior than the one in the 1.73 ROM. So fastboot don't let me flash back to the stock ROM. :crying:
Please help me.
P.S. Sorry for my terrible english. I usualy speak french

I doubt you are going to get one as nandroid backups contain all someones files, settings, and personal info. Nobody is going to risk that.

That person can factory reset her phone, and then make a NANDROID backup. So no personal info will be included.
But before that, make a NANDROID backup of his data to restore it after.

Looks like we have the same problem because of the hboot update.

if you can restore backups, why dont you just flash the stock rom???

Because I was on the 1.94 ROM. This ROM was OTA updated from the 1.73 ROM. BUT, 1.94 has a new HBOOT.
An higher than the 1.73.
And there's only RUUs for the 1.73. No 1.94.
So I cannot flash back to the 1.73 because of the hboot.

I finally found an unbranded ROM from HTC Asia. So I flashed it.
It's based on Android 4.0.4 and it works like a charm on my Rogers One X.

I know you guys are using stock boot, If you flash Twrp or cwm I can provide you with a flashable Rogers 1.73 I made in Android Kitchen... Although you won't be able to OTA it untill I figure out how to create a Flashable OTA.
It's what I am using and it works great

Hey, this might be stupid, but isn't it just waaaaaay easier to rum gingerbreak (or even flash a SuperUser.zip)? If you'e flashing a ROM and want something close to stock, why not flash LBC mod? What's the need for "Pre-Rooted Stock ROMs" ?

Can i use your pre-rooted rom for downgrading.
Hi Adidas108 ,
My Bootloader version is 0.98.0002 i wanna downgrade it to 0.98.0000 for this purpose can i use the pre-rooted rom of yours to get a rooted mobile and then proceed with changing of the version number and flash another rom with 0.98.0000 bootloader.
P.S Already tried to downgrade and ROOT mobile but Gingerbreak is not working for me , I think the exploit is fixed in my version

to be honest i'm not sure do u need to be rooted first to flash .zip's because i personaly never try this roms on non-rooted phone. In theory if u have clockworkmod recovery u can flash .zip files.
Gingerbreak will not work until u get hboot version 0.98.0000
To go back to previous hBoot download and flash as normal. It worked for me. Let me know how you go on for next step.
Before you do anything install HTC sync, boot your phone normal, connect with USB and double click what you just downloaded. Atleast it will give you previous HBoot.

Hi, Install HTC sync from HTC site about 150MB or around , because when you run RUU and software puts your phone to fastboot, it looks for drivers and if the drivers arent there you will get error. Also try Thi version of RUU. One of them should work and put your phone to previous HBoot. After that do complete uninstalltaion of HTC sync and install drivers from Alpharec's site and do the rest. I hope that you are successful.

Stupid question, what are the disadvantages of using a Europe or Asia ROM in Australia? Previously have only flased on the Telstra WWE ROMs since that is what came stock, but want to try the newer Europe 1.47 ROM with newer radio.
I know it will remove the telstra branding, e.g. boot screen and apps. But that's ok cos I actually WANT that. Just wondering the downsides. E.g. will my Australian APNs all disappear? Will the language locale be wrong or something?
Does this includes HBOOT?
I`m S-OFF with Alpharef, so i have this 6.28.... something HBOOT Version.
When i try to install this ROM, did it flash the HBOOT back to 9000?
I have a T-Mobile branding, that`s why i want to install the clear HTC stock rom.

[Q] How do I get a stock ROM?

Hi All,
I'm about to root and flash a new ROM onto my HTC Sensation but before I do so, I want to have a backup of the stock ROM in case I need to take the phone in for a repair.
I'm looking for the Vodafone Australia HTC Sensation stock ROM but can't find it!
Does anyone have one which they could send me a link to?
Or, is there a way which I can make a backup of the stock ROM from my phone?
Thanks!
EDIT: just to clarify, I've tried searching for the RUU but there don't seem to be any for Vodafone AUS. So is there anyway to backup the stock? Thanks! (I'm not exactly a newbie at rooting/flashing, just never had to worry about backing up for warranty purposes before)
i was wondering the same thing! cant find the ruu! hope someone can guide us to restore without a RUU
or some method gets invented

hey did you find a way to do it?
People, before you flash a new rom you need to make a nandroid back up! In case you need to restore your phone for what ever reason.....
This is also done in clockworkmod recovery.....
Hit the backup/restore button and you are good to go.
If you look at the step by step install protocols in the tread of your choosen rom, one of the first steps is DO A NONDROIDBACKUP....
Goodluck!

you cant S-on without a RUU though? thats what the guide says?
If you do restore, you are unrooted.... But be careful restoring s-on, its more riskie than requiring s-of! Read the threads regarding this proces and do what it says every step!

You'll need to have stock recovery and bootloader, which a nandroid backup doesn't save. And only an RUU, AFAIK will give you those.

Here is a link to an Australian Vodafone stock RUU, I note yours is a slightly newer version than this RUU, however I would expect this would be fine if you need to go back to stock.
http://www.filefactory.com/file/c13...00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_220002_signed.exe (thanks to Football)
BTW you either need your stock RUU or you need to have backed up stock recovery and Hboot before rooting (via temp root) because these are overwritten in the revolutionary s-off and custom recovery installation process. A nandroid backup is important but it won't take you back to stock.
For a short time I've got the RUU in my dropbox, it might be a bit quicker and less ads! http://is.gd/Vaq45l

Yes you can restore a Nandroid backup of GB. Although you HAVE to have a compatible version of the Firmware and and appropriate Radio.
To make sure do a superwipe, certainly won't hurt.

Hey,
I have same hboot and radio as OP, but cid is HTC_Y13, does that change anything?
Can you help me find any working stock ruu? I searched the thread by Football from S4 section since my phone has to be S4, because I already had installed Dark Jelly S Edition and JellyBam. Tried about 3 of those there (one was RUU_Ville_U_HTC_Europe_1.09.401.1_R_Radio_0.14.3059.14_2_release_243825_signed) Is that one even close to a working one? Does the ruu have to have exactly the words "2.15.000 or 1.11.50.05.28?
Also when I have tried some the ruus in the installed it says Source: 3.16.401.8. What does that mean?
Thanks.

Hi thanks for the link the only think I missing is how do I put file on sd when whone only boots to hboot?
Should I unlock it, then custom recovery, then try to connect storage from the recovery copy files over and then flash?
Thanks,
Ok, after trying 3 different recoveries I managed to get storage mounted and working on windows, once I have the file image I will try to copy over and try what you suggested. I hope the phone will come back.
UPDATE:
Flashing zen 1.05 rom solved (so far) all the problems I had, Initially they cured when while on cwm recovery I got OTA update, since then I had problems with mounting sd, battery drain etc. Now thanks to NQNH and Zen team I'm back on great 4.04 and sense 4.1. Thanks guys

You can just flash a stock ROM, keeping root and S-Off. It will be stable bit your friend could also have root sometime in the future if he ever wants it. I say this because AAHK was retired, so if you go entirely back to stock you may never get S-Off again.

You can Always use Gene Poole's tool to revert to S-ON and then flash the AT&T stock RUU. I would keep S-OFF as it Is a very useful feature.
