Unlock and Root - Now No 4g Coverage TMOUS S4 - HTC One S

SOLVEDNo 4g speeds- Icon flashes "g" and "3g." Only receive 6 mbps whereas wife's stock one s reaches 15 on a regular basis.
What should be my next step?
History:
Unlocked and Rooted using Hasoon's All-In-One.
Had issues right away with CWM not being able mount sd card ("unable to open ums lunfile).
Flashed TWRP and had similar issues- seemed like a soft brick.
Finally loaded TWRP 2.2.0 (Hasoons on 2.1.7) - This worked
Managed to load Viper Rom
Have tried EU Radio and now back to stock. Have tried Fusion Kernel - no effect
HELP PLEASE!

Sigh. Viper has a problem with the G icon instead of H... Please search in the thread of the ROM you are using. You are not a precious special flower.

LOL Flower. I will pee on your flowers.
No I read that thread and it was an error in the "h" versus "g" that didn't include a loss of bandwidth. Again, speedtests of a stock ran at 14 mbps and mine ran at the 3g speeds of 5 mbps.

I also never stated that I was received an "H." I know where the statusbar tweaks are and that isn't my issue.

LOL!

No! But man do I wish I was again. I checked wife's results again this morning and she reaches consistent 15 mbps. After change hsdpa to 24, I'm still getting 5 mbps.:crying:
Thanks for the idea!

On Hboot 1.09- So I don't think I flashed incorrectly since I have one of the non-problematic hboots.
Thanks for trying!

SOLVED-
WEnt to TMO base rom. Speeds are acceptable. Thanks NRG for a great rom that isn't stock TMO.

Just root it and flash any custom rom you want based on newest firmware. No point updating with 4.3 around the corner. And why update to locked bootloader if you can run a latest custom with old bootloader.
Sorry to bump this, just wondering is upgrading the baseband bring anything extra ? or it is useless and better keep old unlocked bootloader baseband and Rom based on new firmware ?
Thank u for share this rom

Custom splash screens

I saw a thread a couple weeks ago about making custom splash screens instead of the Google logo.
Can anybody point me to that thread as I've searched xda themes section, the nexus 5 theme section, Google, etc and I cannot locate the thread.
This time I'll be sure to subscribe

I know this has been possible in the past on a couple of phones. I know the the HTC desire, if you S-Off, you get a custom bootloader and can change the splash, however I haven't seen this on modern, non-HTC devices.

LOL that's funny. But you have it all wrong. Metro is like another phone carrier like tmobile sprint and so fourth. The only thing is that metro is running on tmobile network. So that means it uses GSM.
It honestly runs really smooth without hiccups. I can't speak for data though as my note is a secondary device (wifi only)
Yeah, it took 2 1/2 hours to download
Source code for the kernel?
Mozilla is the only browser worth using these days. Doesn't translate pop-ups consistently and those links are full of them.
Tried the roms listed and can't get proper signal. Where is the one that works with sprint in the US?
I use Google chrome with Google Translator and added ad blocker...It works fine for me
What is the need for screen off zip? I'm not having issues with screen off.
I'm running infinity v2.1 with xposed on a gsm carrier. It's awesome no issues at all.
Installed greenify and amplify and got 5hrs sot over 12 hrs use, which is good for someone who play a lot of games.
This runs like a champ

I'm still waiting to see people reporting it on other carriers. I'm sure it's just a staged rollout.
Both of my Moto X Pure Editions received notification of the Android 7 update just after lunch today. I've updated my spare phone and have been making sure there are no issues. So far, so good. I'll let my main phone update later today.
I'm in Texas and my carrier is Ting (Sprint MVNO).

Why, I feel like someone is bound to post a version of it that we can just flash via TWRP.
Not unless their bootloader is unlocked
Of course, and I just preordered my Moto G5S Plus.
What? It was $50 off and 5% off, I couldn't resist!
(now i just need to lower my unfortunately high standards for update timelyness)
The first person on stock that's rooted, when the notification comes, let it download, when it completes you'll get another notification asking to install. Do NOT. Go to /cache and the OTA zip will be there. Copy it immediately to your home folder or external sd and the upload it here ASAP!! We can all then upgrade without waiting if someone can upload the file.
Pulled SIM, rebooted, nothing. So far it looks like >80% in the Reddit thread report the same. With all we've been through, I'm not going to believe it until a lot more reports come in.
I received it today xt1575.
I got it 30 mins ago

I'm seeing more and more posts of people getting it in various outlets. I can't believe not 1 single person has root... Please rooted folks, it'll take you all of 1 min to copy the file and upload it. I'm rooted and ready to extract, but no ota notification yet.
