I saw a thread a couple weeks ago about making custom splash screens instead of the Google logo.
Can anybody point me to that thread as I've searched xda themes section, the nexus 5 theme section, Google, etc and I cannot locate the thread.

I know this has been possible in the past on a couple of phones. I know the the HTC desire, if you S-Off, you get a custom bootloader and can change the splash, however I haven't seen this on modern, non-HTC devices.

You are quite lucky there is one in development or else you'd have been flamed.
If you read, this phone is not the galaxy s i9000. Or the vibrant(T959). This is the T959"V". Every phone has its own development. galaxy s doesn't mean galaxy s 4g.
That's calling the motorola droid and the droid x the same thing. They are 2 very phones.

yea that really isnt a big help to me. its not really indeph guide. im a bit new to androids sense my last phone was a iphone
Then you are going to have to go with one of our custom ROM's. You can follow one of the first two links in my signature. Whichever better suits your phone situation.

because the logcat tell me is due to kernel which i changed others.when i connect to wep and other,wifi can work well.If you have some Methods to solve this problem,please tell me how to,

hmm interesting, mind specifying on what you have done on this port besides merging the system folder with another JB build? it's nice and all but I just dont see anything worth while in this build. seems like it's buggy and un responsive at times.

I have recently installed CleanRom 5.1 and got everything working. But I didn't install htc hub and now I am wanting to install it. I don't want to have to fresh install and install my apps and set up everything on my phone again. How do I go about installing just the app through aroma if this is possible?

Yeah HTC wouldn't put their apps on the playstore...please provide good info and not smart mouth him if you can't provide something [email protected] op just go through aroma again and install it don't wipe just flash the zip again and click hub

This is what I was asking. Thank you. I didn't know if it would erase my install I already have set up and customized.
Could we possibly get an apk of the stock Nexus S LWP? See image below (and not the nexus revamped app in the play store. not the same thing at all.) I believe CM has it installed as Nexus lwp but have been unable to strip it out and get it to work. Same with the whole livewallpaper.apk it seems to not function on the nexus 5.
Help or an apk would be much appreciated.

Yes, and everytime i go to click on the wallpaper it force closes with "Unfortunately, Android Live Wallpapers has stopped." Is it just not compatible with the new nexus 5 launcher?

Nope....microbes was a laggy POS since ICS I believe. I loved that wallpaper on my thunderbolt, hell,it even ran better on the thunderbolt.
Not sure what was going on with that wallpaper but it completely slowed my phone to a crawl when I had it running.

Looking for a guide to help me remove app labels on the home screen on stock touchwiz launcher. @rompit put up a guide in @tdunham S5 unified modthread. Gotta go there and thank him.
As of now iam currently trying to remove the app labels on the edge launcher that is in MOAR rom.and i can say no luck yet..
I have figured out how to change the app labels colors..if anyone cares...lol

So, I have never written my own smali code before, but it looks like that may be the best way to do this. It might take some time, there is a lot of reading to do.
