I'm modding my icons with UOT Kitchen and had some questions about the icons in SystemUI.apk! I'm using a Samsung Infuse 4g with Emancipation ROM which is based off of Gingerbread 2.3.6!
Basically I want to know the difference between the icons that say "fully" and the ones that don't. For both signal bars and data icons. I assume it means fully connected to the network, but what is the difference? It's a hassle making new icons for "fully" connected status.
Also, why don't animated icons work? I can modify signal bars and data icons but can't get animations to work. The suffix "_anim0" is added to the first one, up until "_anim19" but only the first one shows.

Most users here are interested in theming the status bar icons (battery, antenna, etc.) to add flashy elements like battery percentage, etc. I'm looking to do the opposite. I'm using a Sense rom (Fresh 3.2.0) and loving it, but prefer the stock Android status bar icons like those in CM6. Is there any relatively easy way to change from the HTC status icons to the stock ones?

Not to hard, you need to get a framework-res.apk and com.htc.resources.apk from a ROM that has the icons that you want then extract them and put them into the framework and resources files from Fresh's ROM. should be in the drawable-hdpi folder. Use adb to push over the new files. Hope this helps

Thanks. I found the framework-res.apk from the CM6 rom, but could not locate com.htc.resources.apk. Any ideas?
Curious what would happen if I use Theme Kitchen with Gummy 1.85 framework.res to make some modifications to battery and status bar. Am I asking for trouble?
not developement... post in general
You can try... theme kitchen is mostly for HTC Sense stuff I think
Just wanted to confirm it did work without issues. All I did was change the battery icons.
Didn't use it on the gummyframework, but have used it on my own and changing battery icons worked fine.
Sorry, this isn't flashable, but it's a zip containing all the necessary icons to change the 3G icon to the Inc2 one using NinjaMorph. The icon comes from Newtoroot's ROM. http://www.mediafire.com/?4cwpdod5ycxq5fb
How can I change my icons at the top? I keep trying to us the UOT kitchen to change them, and all of them change except the 4G icon. How the hell do I change it without changing my ROM. I prefer the stock ROM, but to get rid of those bright ass green icons I might be willing to change. lol Any suggestions or know of an icon pack that I can use to get some different icons? I like the Honeybread ones that are in the UOT Kitchen.
I find AOSP/Oneplus signal icons (both mobile and WiFI) pretty bad. With other devices I had in the past there were plenty of mods to change them, from xposed modules to substratum themes, when not customization integrated inside custom ROMs. Substratum themes with signal icons declined to the point I could not find any which support them nowadays (in fact, I'm currently using Swift Installer, which is pretty good, but is not able to modify signal icons in any way).
I don't need battery icons mods, for it I just want text for knowing percentage of battery left (curiously there are many mods for battery icons, which I really don't want). Did anyone know a way to change mobile/Wifi icons properly? Those plain, flat, unclear icons are extremely boring...
Thank you in advance
