Thanks!

I ordered a Microsoft BT mouse specifically for smartphones and tablets.

I use both a Logitech Bluetooth mouse (they only have one, I believe). I also have an I/O Magic bluetooth mouse - both work great - I use one at work and one at home. Use them *all* of the time. Bought the I/O Magic at Microcenter (much cheaper than the Logitech)...

Just wondering if you get the decrease in download speeds while using the bluetooth mouse like we get when using bluetooth speakers. Just curious cause if you can stream netflix and use the mouse without any video buffering we might have hope on it being a software issue. Can you try it. Thanks.

Don't have a Netflix account, but I just tested with a bluetooth mouse and my bluetooth music receiver.
If I just have my mouse connected (but not using it), it doesn't slow it down much at all, but if I constantly move the mouse around while the speed test is occurring, it does drop the speed quite a bit. However, the speed drop is nowhere near the lever you are seeing....
I get very little slowdown while playing music to the bluetooth music receiver while running the test.
I think the slowdown while constantly moving the mouse around might be more CPU related since the bluetooth music receiver doesn't slow it down much (still get about 12Mbps download while sending music to the bluetooth music receiver).
I would expect the slowdowns I'm seeing though, especially since bluetooth and wifi use the same 2.4Ghz signal....

I am using this since it travel well. If MS made the bendable arch mouse in BT instead of normal wireless then I would have gotten one of those.

That mouse looks interesting - how do the "optical" navigation work using your finger - does it work with the TF700?
You also mention that it travels well - does it fold flat or something? I'm just wondering what makes it travel better than a normal mouse...
I'm tempted to purchase, but only if the optical finger navigation works with the TF700...
Thanks for the info!

It works as advertised. It is flatter than the average mouse so it fits in a bag well. I wouldnt do graphic design with it but it is precise enough for normal tablet stuff.

I can't use apple air mouse.
I can connect mouse and infinity together, but mouse doesen't work.
The same mouse works perfect with samsung galaxy s2.
???
I don't have another BT mouse for test.
My FW is IML74K.WW_9.4.5.26

I use a MS BT 5000 Notebook bluetooth mouse and the Logitech BT Keyboard with no issues. i do have some drop out on my Motorola S9-HD headphones if I use the mouse while listening, but speed is ok.

Question for those who have a dock

Has anyone tried using an HD TV as a monitor? It seems that if you can stream 1080p video to one you should be able to.
With a BT keyboard and maybe a mouse, you could have a decent desktop PC.
I have used the HDMI output on my dock to connect to my 55 inch Vizio. It worked great with my USB zippy keyboard with built in trackball and mouse buttons. And yes, the output to the TV is 1080p. Sorta weird though because the mouse pointer is hard to see when sitting back on the couch about 15 feet away. LOL

[Q] While my TF is being RMA'ed, I get to use an Acer A500

Yes, I need a tablet while my TF is being sent back to asus for non-functioning speakers.
My first impressions of the Acer are not good. Here's a short list of nags that I'm sure will grow until I return this in less than 14 days:
- two usb drives that work on my TF don't work on the A500... my wireless key file is on those, so it's a pain not to have access to them.
- a regular usb mouse, which works on the TF, doesn't on the A500.
- my RII mini bluetooth keyboard works on the A500, but the trackpad doesn't, which means I have to type and touch the screen constantly. Remote desktop will be painful because of this.
- the A500 wouldn't tether to my android phone via bluetooth or wifi... this works flawlessly on the TF.
- no file manager! Yes, sounds minor, but this is a huge inconvenience.
- I thought the cable on the TF was short... the one that Acer provides barely reaches the top of the small table I have the device on!!!
I really miss my Transformer LOL

Microsoft Arc Mouse Compatibility

Hi guys, I'm debating on getting the Microsoft Arc Mouse for my Transformer... I use my TF a lot with Splashtop HD and other programs that are a lot easier with a mouse, plus I'm not a trackpad kind-of-guy.
I'm posing this question because I already have a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 3500 that works excellent with my Windows 7 PC, but once I plug in the nano transceiver into my EeePad, the mouse cursor can be moved, but every 2 seconds the mouse "jitters" and for about a a second the mouse doesn't move. So basically I can't use this mouse comfortably.
I just wanna make sure that the Arc Mouse doesn't have this problem. Thanks guys.
I can't say for sure since I don't own it myself but so far I have tried my wife's Wireless Mouse 3500 and my Wireless Mouse 6000 and have the same issue with the "jitters" every few seconds. However I have an older Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000 with jumbo stick adapter and it works with no problems at all. So my assumption would be that Microsoft has made some recent revisions to their HID code that doesn't jive well with Android 3.2. Hopefully someone who already has one can try it out and give us a concrete answer.
Eh, I guess it's too late. I ordered the Logitech M180, from what I've seen this one should work fairly well with the TF, and if not, it'll be returned and I'll try the Arc Mouse. I mainly wanted a small wireless mouse that could fit in this small front pouch of the netbook case I use for my TF.

Works great, just plug it in and your good. I like that the reciever doesn't stick out too much from the dock.

Aghhhh, thanks for the quick response, I may have to exchange my Logitech Mouse for the Arc now, it would fit so much better in my little case.

The Arc Touch? I too have that, and it gets the same lag as the 3500 does.
Do you all happen to be on the dock with a custom kernal? I have the dock, currently on the latest revolver; but I am uncertain if its a rom/kernal issue, dock issue, or microsoft/android issue
I use a Logitech Bluetooth V470 Cordless Laser Mouse, no software required it just works! UK price £34.99
Logitech US have a Tablet Mouse for Androidâ„¢ 3.1+ at $49.99 but both mice have the same part # so make your own conclusions

I think all of the usb receiver mice have lag, to some degree... but we are one step closer to the coolest thing since sliced bread. I guess my expectations aren't as high as others.. the OS is coming along and I expect it to improve over time, or over devices..

[Q] gta 3 with wireless xbox 360 pad

Hello all,
I have installed gta and i am enjoying it.
i would enjoy it more if my pad would work properly.
Has anyone got the wireless pad working? I have usb bt joy centre which allows me to use the pad in emus etc.
Can anyone offer any advice? The movement keys will work but i cannot work out how to punch shoot etc.
Lots of searching shows the wired pad working without issue......no mention of wireless pad with reciever plugged in via usb adapter.
many thanks

Bluetooth mouse.

So i have ordered dock for my infinity but it has not arrived yet.
I was wondering if i buy bluetooth mouse will it work without dock? I mean can i still use onscreen keyboard with mouse?

Sure - the dock really has nothing to do with the Bluetooth aspect of the device, so a bluetooth mouse will work regardless of whether or not you have a dock.

Thanks I was reading some old thread where there was an issue. When you connected bluetooth mouse to transformer without dock it disabled onscreen keyboard. Thats why i wasn't sure. Can you recommend any particular mouse to this device?
I use the ms bluetooth notebook mouse 5000. It works fine enough for me.
using a Dell Bluetooth Travel mouse (logitech rebrand), works fine. My only beef is that i need to find a Bluetooth mouse that can support 2 pairings. I have the Infinity & ZenBook (yeah, i like asus) and its an annoyance having to repair each time.
if the keyboard dock is connected to the tablet the on screen keyboard doesn't come out, so its better to use a Bluetooth mouse with out keyboard dock if you want to use the on screen keyboard

Why on earth would anyone want to use onscreen keyboard when the dock is connected? Cmon... Haven't seen more weird reply in some time...
