A sad day for the 99% men DS forum!
Sad to see you go, but glad you have got yourself a new toy!!!
I get my new toy (sgs3) next week. I'm sure I'll be snooping around the DS forum, checking out the ics/jb progress though
Good luck over at the nexus forum.
You won't have a shortage of rom's, that's for sure

And as you leave, I enter the forums, comming from a Galaxy 5.
I'm sure you will have a lot more fun with your new phone, specially if you like flashing (don't we all?)

No Longer Own Desire S, But Thanks All!

Hello there, I only had a desire S for two weeks, and left about 30 odd posts in this forum, but I have to say, its the most friendliest area of XDA, although there is not a lot of roms, there are some great devs bringing a lot to the Desire S, Unfortunately, Due to problems with the phone (not caused by flashing, but because I bought the phone second hand) it had a few problems, I now own a Samsung Galaxy S, so thanks to everyone who helped me in my two weeks here!
We're all going to be missing a friend.
Good luck with your new gadget and keep the spirit

actually we have more than 25 ROMs now, i think that is a lot
enjoy your new device
Au revior! I was at the point of considering the GS2. But the huge screen and TouchWiz, were a huge turn off for me. I couldn't turn away from the sleek and sexyness of the built and of course, HTC sense. Have a good one. I'd come back if I were you to give a comparison between the two devices. I'd have a personal interest in this.
Couldn't agree more about quality of people here....hopefully you'll also find a good bunch where you're off to next.
Thanks for all your input and don't forget us!
Thank you all, one thing i really do miss is htc sense, I really really miss that
I agree! These forums are so helpful!
Cya, I recently got my DS, I found these forums to be very useful.
You'll be back...

Haha!, Well, you can still come here to visit!
I agree about the friendly tone of this forum. I haven't had any problems with my s-offing and learning about flashing roms etc, but that is largely because of all the good advice I found here. Thanks all.

Hello SkyRocket brethern

Hi peeps.
Just wanted to introduce myself and in general say hello to the SkyRocket community.
My Captivate finally keeled over and my new Skyrocket will be in hand on Monday. I am an experienced Android owner and have had my hand in gfxs work for the Samsung Captivate. Currently I am on the Dev team The Collective which has several ROMs out for the Captivate and Inspire 4G.
Hope to bring some experience over here to this forum and am more than happy to help out whenever I can.
I do lots of custom wallpapers, docks, icons and such but recently have also been doing themes.
Glad to be a part of this new community and I hope I can learn much from this forum.
Thanks
MT

Thanks for the Good Times Guys :)

Thanks for all the custom roms and development that's been going on in this forum since the desire S release. I've had my desire S for about 14 months now and I've been following this forum for about a year. Just like to say I'm gonna miss it. I've had great help with my issues and there has been so many fantastic roms. I hope you get the kernel source soon I've just got the One S and I'm selling my desire S so thanks guys. Anyone else making the same move with me any time soon?
Good bye mate I personally wanted a One S, but the one in India has an S3 chip and I wanted the S4. Plus, it's much costlier than I expected, so I'll stick to the Desire S. Enjoy your new phone
Another one bites the dust!
See you around! Enjoy your new device! don't forget to pop into the OFF TOPIC thread and let us know how you are getting on and what you make of your new device.
Jelly .. :3 .. See you around mate!
I'll see you around guys. Cheers for the send off! I may keep glancing back at this forum to try and help a few guys if they have issues

I'll Miss You Guys!!

Hey guys! I just wanted you all to know that I have finally moved away from the Thunderbolt.
I wish you all the best of luck with the development! Thank you to all of the developers who still carry on development for the device. Without you guys, I would have left the bolt over a year ago... but you guys kept it cool and worth staying with.
Also thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way.
I recently moved and the Thunderbolt no longer maintains even WiFi for some reason... so I was forced to move away from it.
Again, thank you all for everything!
Have fun with your new device.

Take care bud, was always a pleasure having you around!
Enjoy your new toy. :good:
See you around
Sad to see you go bud, was fun having you around, and a few of your posts really cracked me up (see dickmode). Enjoy your new device!
Haha! Yeah, we had some good times on here for sure!
Thanks for all the memories and help from all of you!
I'll still pop in every now and then I'm sure. Hope to cross roads again with you guys later on!
Take care everyone!
Well, I also left the ranks. My family has been pressuring me to get them their first smartphones, and by the time we were through at the cell phone store, I had one too. While I really was hoping to get the next great phone (eg, a Nexus 4x with replaceable battery, SD card, and LTE), we all went with what I think is still the best combination of size, speed, and features (replaceable battery, memory) while also having a community for future, um, er, rooting fun. The Samsung Galaxy SIII. I was tempted by the Note 2 but the thing is just too big; the S3 almost seemed too big, but it is also nice and thin.
Anyway, I will miss the Thunderbolt. I was really fortunate with my ROM choices (SOAB, Thundershed, and Santod's ICS Eternity). SOAB was a good entry to rooting, Tshed was bulletproof, and Eternity was fast, smooth and awesome in features and performance. But most of all I will miss the awesome developers who contributed to their talents and time to make the Thunderbolt better that what HTC and Verizon could ever do. And the great community here and on other bulletin boards. People like QuickDraw, who has always been quick with the advice or support.
I have some Thunderbolt accessories free for the asking. A Rezound battery. A slightly broken Platinum holster case in black (one small piece of the case broke off but it doesn't seem to effect the use at all and you wouldn't even see it if you didn't look) and a virtually unused PowerSkin case. Let me know if you want em and I will ship them to you. At some point I may even give up the Thunderbolt itself.
Thanks again everyone...

Good bye :)

Hey guys I just wanted to tell you guys that I'm leaving this forum as in I bought HTC desire x which seems to be way better then pico. Traded of my Pico and bought this one and I'm really happy that I made this decision.
It was a really good pleasure talking, discussing different things bettween you all guys, wonderful experience and ill miss it.
I always go for HTC because of sense and sense 4 on Pico was the worst, not blaming the Rom, sense 4 itself on desire c is crap, my device was runing sense 4 and recently I got an update to JB and to my suprise all the lags have gone+it looks so nice in a bigger display. Desire x forums even have full sense JB roms. Still ill root it and flash then as soon as possible.
I appreciate all the effort made my all the members of this forums for correcting me, spreading the right word, etc. Many users have been great and helpful likewise many were stupid and dumb as hell, no offence, they were noobs haha and still fun hanging out here.
@Apex-Predator I waitied for you're Rom so long and at last I couldn't resist and bought a new better device
Good bye guys! It was really fun here and I learnt many things from you all, thanks !!
