OK. So I bought a brand new G2X a few weeks ago, installed new CWM via NV Flash followed all the steps like I have in the past with the G1 and Vibrant, only this phone I have a network connection issue after I flash a rom I have an ( H ) only for the network. If I reboot the phone I do not get any network connection at all, no matter how many times I reboot. I called tmobile and had a refurbished sent to me had the G2X for a week now and couldnt take the POS regular rom anymore. I followed the steps exact I am pretty sure. I went into CWM which I installed with external support I wiped data/factory reset 3 times, wiped dalvik cache (which BTW says "E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]" (not sure if that is normal.)) I do it again and it says "Dalvik Cache wiped", I wiped the battery stats, I choose install zip from sd card, choose zip from sd card, I choose eaglesblood_v1.2_p999-ota-eng.zip, It installs fine, I then install gapps, and reboot the phone. Once the phone is rebooted I let the phone sit for 5 minutes, I sign in to my google account, and then I let the phone sit for 5 minutes again and reboot to see if the internet is going to work and it doesnt again. I also have chsnged sim card twice. I have never had this issue and if someone can help me fix this I will totally donate $5.00 to the BEER FUND!
Thanks in advance.
seems like you did everything right.
try going into network settings, and dis/reenabling data. also make sure there IS an APN in the APN settings.
What does it show for the icon at the top?
If it is gray bars with a small x the phone isn't getting a signal. Not sure what do do for this.
If it is colored bars with no edge/3g/H icon you are having an issue that I was dealing with. The answer I got was to...
Dial *#*#4636#*#*
Go to "Phone Information"
Scroll down and under "select network type" select GSM-CDMA AUTO option
Right under that press "turn off radio" then turn it back on
Back out of there and all should be good.
Note: I use "WDCMA preferred" under select network type and it works fine for me.
Hope this helps.
EDIT:
I have also had success doing this..
Settings>Wireless & networks>Mobile networks>Network operators... wait for the search to finish... >Select automatically>reboot

When I did this once I turn the radio off and the on I get the grey bars with an x and still no network connection. After a reboot I get colored bars but no network still.

When I tried this I still get no network connection.
Funny thing is if I install gapps through rom manager I get the [H] and colored bars. but after a reboot it doesnt work again.... Im so stumped! lol
there goes your problem.. you have no apn.
Go into "access point names". Press the hardware menu button --> reset to default. The original apn should pop up.
are you using CM7? I heard theres a apn problem with that. if you are then i can' help you since I dont have cm7

This is on Eaglesblood a CM7 based rom.
Download APNsBU in the market through Wi-fi, click Backup APNS, then click Restore APNs. Reboot and it should work
EDIT: Please delete.

This works. Is this common? So basically everytime I want to reboot my phone I use that by restoring?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
You won't have to screw with it if you switch to Gigglebread.

Is there any way to turn off the annoying message "Do you want to turn on data while in roaming?" that pops up every time I go in/out of wifi etc.
you could try turning off data roaming in settings -> wireless & networks

Already selected off. I only use the data via wifi.
is cellular data off too? cause if it is, you shouldn't be asked about anything data related

I just installed Cyanogenmod 10 on my TF101 and every time I try to connect to my home network, it says 'Connecting' then it goes to 'Saved, secured with WPA' without the internet connection.
Did you wipe it (factory reset) in recovery before flashing? If not, do that and try again.
Also, try forgetting the network (long press on the network and forget from popup) then add it back.
Also try cycling power on your router
i fixed mines; not sure if it'll work on yours :s

Hi, ninjadan9! i had the same problem after flashing it with CM 10 Nightly, but after debugging on settings, i found a fix. i dont know if its a bug or what, but what i did was:
1) 'forget' my network
2) connect to it again(MAKE SURE YOUR SECURITY KEY IS ENTERED CORRECTLY)
3) if still says, "saved, secured with wpa" dont hesitate, you're still not done
4) on your wifi window, press your menu button
5) choose "advanced"
6)there should be a "wi-fi frequency band" choice, make sure its on "auto"
7) still not working? underneath the ''wi-fi frequency band'', there should be "wi-fi' region code".
8) i dont know if yours has a choice selected, but mines didnt. i chose, "United States" and VIOLA. when i went back, it says "connected" and my wi-fi sign finally showed on my status bar:laugh::good:
hope this helps!:fingers-crossed:
I have Paranoid Android 2.99 and UCLL3 radio. Recently, I lost my data connection and can't seem to get it back. When my phone is connected to WiFi, it lists the data connection as 4G, but as soon as I disconnect the internet connection I get "No Internet Connection". However, I can still text/make phone calls.
I've tried toggling airplane mode, toggling data, resets, cache wipe/dalvik cache wipe, and reflashing the radio. None of these seem to work.
Does anyone have any ideas that I haven't tried yet? Or should I just reflash and start over?
Thanks y'all!

You should probably try reflashing the whole ROM if nothing else works. But before that, you can try to flash other radios.

I would reflash and see if it's still doing and last I would try a different Rom
So while connected to a wireless network it says you're on 4G? Do you still get the wireless signal icon or just your cell signal? If you have access to your wireless access port, try disconnecting it from the gateway to see if your phone is using the wireless network for data or if there is a very weird connection between the wireless toggle and data toggle. I know it may seem strange, but I have had some weird issues like this. (mine involved CM10 and the CRT off animation only working while wireless is on) See if you can stay connected to your wireless router without it being connected to the isp and see if you can ping google.com. If you can, then we have a starting point. Double check your APN settings on your phone under networks settings and see if you can track down the wap.cingular APN settings to see if you can get 3g at least. AT&T can remove LTE provision and then restore them in hopes to register your device again if all else fails...
Hello guys have a good day
I am using an Honor 7s device but I am unable to connect to my home wifi network, It s telling that "Denied access to network"
I have done resetting the network and resetting the whole device wiping everything but the issue is still there
Any replies will be appreciated
Try this:
Open the Wi-Fi settings screen, touch the name corresponding to a Wi-Fi network or touch and hold it, select Forget, then enter the password to try connecting again.
Open Settings, search for and touch Reset network settings, then enter the password to try connecting again.
This will restore all network settings, including Wi-Fi, mobile data, and Bluetooth settings, but will not delete any data or files or change other settings.
Power off and then power on the router.
Restore the router to its factory settings and try connecting again.
