Trying to find a keyboard app that you can remove the period from the keyboard like the gingerbread keyboard?
I recall seeing one in the Android Apps and Games section of the xda forums. Check there.

Sorry if it has been ask and I've looked around. Any keyboard ports like Droid x multitouch or swipe or even gingerbread keyboard Besides the one on the market. Thx just not digging the stock one.

You could try getting in to the Swype beta. Just do a Google search for Swype beta (I have been deemed unworthy to link) and click the first link.
Yup, he's a working 2.3 keyboard apk. It's one of the first things I put on my phone when I got it last week.

I'm running cm7 but I really don't like how the letters are smaller on the gb keyboard. Is there any froyo keyboard apps?

Is it Swype or just simple Android keyboard that your talking about? If you wanna use Swype, go to Google and search for Swype team. Access and register an account on their site. Then follow the steps to download Swype for your phone I'm using the newest Swype right more, working like champ, baby

I want the stock froyo keyboard on a gb rom

Hi all, I'm running the sky ics speed rom. Problem I'm having is whenever I go to type something it always reverts back to the stock keyboard no matter how many times I set the keyboard I want. Anybody else seen this problem?

Go to settings-applications-running services then find the sky ics keyboard process. Click on it. Click settings. Then it will display Swype and Ics keyboard. Right above those it will say input method., click that and select Swype. That's it.

I've downloaded swype but restored it through tb. But I can't switch to it. How do I access the switch input?

If you want swype then go to settings>keyboard>choose HTC input then check the trace type. Congratulations now you have swype

I prefer Swype over trace myself it should be setting/keyboards it has an on/off button after you choose on tap on Swype and set it as default of you don't see these options reinstall

Cool, but to be honest I have used swype on a Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and I use trace on my HTC one s and I don't see or notice any differences.

on gingerbread I could hold down on any text field and an input method would appear. Trace I very inaccurate. It's not as intuitive as Swype. And it looks ugly. I had you reinstall it. Thanks people.

Hey guys, just wanted to ask if anyone else has this problem, my phone crashes when I type the words "you" and "side" without using Swype.. It will freeze and I have to hold down the power button to get it to exit the app (usually messaging or Web). Anyone else have this problem and know a fix?

I have never had any problems with any keyboard. I use the ics keyboard, and swype for when I need to type in Spanish or English if I'm driving not that I ever text n drive lol

No the Swype keyboard. I was using the Samsung Keyboard yesterday because I got tired of Swype crashing but I rest my Swype dictionary this morning and it looks like it's not crashing anymore so I guess that fixed it.
