Jelly Bean Emojis - HTC One S

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to do emojis on the job keyboard. I saw on a couple places like phandroid to install them I must go to the keyboard settings and install it but I did and it says install but it doesn't do anything and when I go back its not install it tells me to do it again. And so on. Anyways to have them on our keyboard? Thanks

Thanks, I'll give it a try and post results later.
UPDATE: It didn't work...
Why don't you just reflash from scratch?

Messaging isn't in Gapps.
OP, SkyICS uses Samsung's messaging apk so your best bet is going to be to re-install the base. I am attaching the MMS.apk from the SkyICS base, so you can try dropping that in \system\apps\; don't forget to change the permissions.
Thanks, I did that but it didn't worked either, but went to the play store and looked for the ICS message app and installed ;D it was that simple all the time, thanks everybody.
Before you reflash
Go to settings-> Applications-> all -> and scroll ALL THE WAY to the end of the list. See if it is disabled.
This happened on mine, just renable and was good to go.

I've had notification issues with that app; double-check that you're getting all your text notifications before you close the book on this. Otherwise, great app if you prefer the AOSP look, which I do.
It looks good, actually I don't mind how it looks as long as it works. thanks for the help everybody.

[Q] How to get s voice back after installing rom?

Hi, I just recently rooted my phone and installed the paranoid android jellybean rom. In doing so I lost my s voice. I was just wondering if there is a way to get it back. I know I can use Google now instead but it doesn't do commands the same way s voice does.
Thanks

Also, I preferred the old keyboard over this one, I'd there anyway to bring it back?

The app is too big for Gmail,(about 30mb) but I uploaded Svoice to my skydrive here

Plenty of keyboard choices to play around with in the play store, that's where I'd look for one. I prefer SwiftKey 3 This is a question you you might ask in the thread your Rom was downloaded from. I'd check to see what's already installed of course, Settings>Language and Input>Keyboards.
Thanks for the reply, i currently use SwiftKey but i used to have swype before i rooted my phone, do you know where i could download it? Also, I downloaded the s voice from the link you sent me but how would I install that?
Thanks

If you like Swiftkey, and Swype, then you should try Swiftkey Flow

I forgot that Microsoft renames downloaded executable files to ".zip". Use a file explorer app, like ES File Explorer, navigate to the downloaded app, and rename it Svoice.apk.
Google Swype beta and register for an account and u will get the baddest Swype out my brother. Fixed. Problem solved. To me it's a thousand times better than swiftkey.

I downloaded and installed s voice from the link you gave me but whenever I try to give it a command it does not recognize it. I might just stick to Google now unless you could figure out a way to get my s voice back.

ViperOneS

Apparently I haven't posted enough to post in the ViperOneS thread. So I will try finding an answer here.
I flashed the OTA update and went from 2.1 to 2.2. Love the ROM! But it seemed very laggy, so I reverted back to 2.1 via a TWRP backup.
Is there a way to turn off the system update notification since I plan on staying with 2.1? I tried going to settings/applications/updater and unchecking notifications, but it's grayed out.
Thanks for the help.

yes, you can, in the setting, go to about, software update, uncheck scheduled check. This should prevent it from checking the update
Sorry, I failed to mention that I did that also and rebooted the phone. It's gone for 30 seconds after reboot, but reappears after that.

Should be in q&a...and I know ur new but u can still search. If u search the thread u will see that u can fix ur lag by reapplying the skin as well as clearing data in the venom tweaks app and the other one. As for disabling the update part I have no idea. Maybe disable notifications for the app that does it.

Solution found: after "unchecking" the check for updates, settings/applications(all)/updater and then "clear data"
It all seems so obvious, now that I've figured it out.

Doesnt work on my phone, mytouch 4g, running ViperTouch 2.1.3
Got it working but didn't do anything. The only thing available at the moment is winter board. (I understand just came out a few days ago or so) seems to do the same thing as theme chooser in any custom launcher but with the fact that u have to restart every change like in iOS. But didn't apply any theme.
I'm running cm10.1 albinomans rom

Cool, but with mine, the winterboard doesnt see the cydia app and continues to ask me to reboot.
I think the rom i am using has been modded in a different way all together.
Last time i flashed a boot animation with CWM recovery only to see that it didnt work. So i guess its the rom.
About the boot animation it might have been a flash able zip for aosp based ROM. Sense ROMs have it in a different location. U don't need to flash it u could change it manually using a file explorer. I don't remember where exactly its located but u can Google boot animation location sense ROM and then just delete then copy paste with the correct name

It could be a problem with sense. Try a AOSP rom.
Okay.

Cm 11 keyboard on omnirom?

I'm loving omnirom the battery life is amazing and runs incredibly smooth. As a long time cyanogenmod user the only thing Im missing is the keyboard with the long press for question marks, comas, ect. So I had the idea to extract the keyboard from a Cm nightly, problem is it wouldn't install because of the original keyboard installed in omnirom(installed names matched). I also tried uninstalling the keyboard with titanium BU and then installing the keyboard, which worked, but once again problem arose because when i update to the next omni nightly it overwrites the keyboard with the stock omni keyboard.
Has anyone found a way to installed the CM keyboard on omnirom with out removing the original omni keyboard? Thanks in advance.

Are you installing it as System app? If so, do it as user app (data/app)
How do I go about doing that if I use any file manager or installer it automatically installs as a system app

There are many apps that can do that. Like Rom toolbox lite.
You open the app, go to application manager, tap on the keyboard app, tap advanced, convert to user app.
I'm at work right now I'll try it when I get home appreciate you input thank you

Sadly I tried to move the stock keyboard to a user app but it still wouldn't install the cm11 keyboard install and if I uninstall the original keyboard, it installs the cm11 keyboard as a user app also seeing as they are both called aosp keyboard looks like I'll have to deal unless I can find out how to change the name of an installed app

The app you need to convert to user is cm11 keyboard with the steps i gave above. So, it stays after a flash, you can also freeze the stock one using rom toolbox in order to have only one keyboard

I did as you said and will gladly try again when there is a new nightly up to see if it keeps the keyboard there
UPDATE
Just installed the newest nightly and even with the cm keyboard installed as a user app it removes it and installs the stock omni one
