3.33 + CM9 - HTC Sensation

First off, sorry if this is in the wrong place and sorry if this has been posted/answered before... I have been searching the internet for a while.
If it has been answered, a link would be appreciated :good:
My sensation is S-OFF and Rooted, I am currently running on 3.33.707.6
I have tried flashing CM9 + GAPPS from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1654409
It does say it requires latest firmware 3.32 but I tried it anyway. It doesn't work, but no harm done.
After some searching I have not found a guide to installing cm9 on 3.33, only that it doesn't appear to be a problem.
I have tried it again with wiping dalvik, cache and fixing permissions as suggested on some xda post but no luck.
Does anyone know what to do or what to try?
Thanks in advance.
CWM version: 5.8.0.9
HBoot version: 1.27.0000

you need to do full wipe when changing roms ..
as you are using CWM .the full wipe is factory reset ..wiping dalvik, cache wont do

Yep full wipe recommended. Well it's necessary. In 4ext it is 'factory reset/wipe.
Also I'm not sure what CM9 you are using but on CM9 Stable, 3.33 firmware is what's used and posted in the thread.

Are you doing a full wipe of your data, cache, and delvik cache when you flash the ROM? Also I am not positive but you may need to be super cid to flash the ROM you want to use.

Thanks for the help
tripnice works only inder its own firmware version which trip made, you can find it in the same forum where his ROM is
for CM7 you have to downgrade your firmware to 3.12 which can be found in this thread:

Phone shuts down after installing new rom

Until today I was using HyperSensation 3.0, decided to try a new ROM and choose BADOSP V 1.1 to test. After back-up/wipe cache-dalvik/format all partitions/installing ROM/reboot. The phone booted normally until the lockscreen showed up, then, immediately shutted down. Powering on again was met with the same results.
I did the process of wiping, formating and installing again in case I forgot something, and again the same thing happened. I tried with another ROM, this time with ViperS 1.0.1, and I got the same thing, power off after the lockscreen shows for the first time. Before restoring the back up, I tried installing again HyperSensation 3.0 and it works... As a last resort I installed a gingerbread RUU to start totally stock, and again... power off in the same place...
I reinstalled 4ext, updated the firmware again to 3.33 and restored my back up to have a functional phone again, but I cannot understand why is this happening.
Can someone out there chime in and help me with this?
Thanks in advance.

I tried with both Sense ROMs. Super Wipe/Install ROM with everything stock/Flash Kernel/Reboot but that didn't work either.

then the only culprit left is recovery ..
try reflashing it or ..update it to 1.0.0.5 RC (also can you check if you enabled smartflash (in 4EXT -> tools) ..coz that some times messes up for SOFF devices and make sure smartflash is disabled )

Did you flash the gapps right after the rom flashing?
Try to install them separately.
First install the rom then let it boot, set some things up and let it idle for some couple of minutes.
Then reboot and install the gapps.
That's how I usually do.

Well I think the 4EXT Recovery Touch is just a much nicer experience. It's slick, simple, but does so much.
I flashed gapps directly after CM9 ROM with no problems at all. After a factory reset/wipe in 4EXT Recovery Touch. Haven't had a problem there. Don't know about CM10.

Do you use Superwipe ?
AOSP rom does not support Superwipe tool.
You shold go Wipe factory data / Wipe Cache menu to do dual wipe.
Hope that helps you

if the issue is only with the boot loop stuck image then....
Just extract the boot image from the ROM zip file and place it in the adb folder on the OS partition then use fast boot commands to push the boot image to the device. it should work, worked for me.:good:

[Q] HTC Sensation with cm9, faux, and ARHD

Hello Guys!
First: Sorry for my worst english, i've learned it only from movies and games.
I dont want to post a new thread, but i cant find the answer for MY question.
I want to install Android Revolution HD for my Sensation Z710e.
My phone is: HTC Sensation Z710e
Android version: 4.0.4
Baseband version: 11.76A.3504.00P_11.24A.3504.31_M
Kernel version: 3.0.42-MSM8660-Sense-Faux123-v009+
Cyanogenmod: CM 9.1.0-pyramid
CWM version: 5.0.2.0
I want to install ARHD, but i dont know, because i cant find any instruction, and i'm afraid that i will brick my phone.
I've found great instructions, but not for my CM9 or my kernel.
Or did i complicates too, and the install is easier than I thought?
So can i install ARHD with CM9 and these settings above, or i need to flash back the stock ICS and kernel? Or simply download ARHD files, and flash with CMW, and it works?
Please help me if you can, and i'm really sorry if someone already wrote that problem and got the correct answer.
Thank thank thank thank you!!!

S-ON or S-OFF?
also i suggest you to flash 4ext recovery.it is better than cwm
You could always flash an RUU and start from scratch. It will keep you s-off'ed if you already are, will put a matching radio and firmware. From there you can follow the instructions on the ARHD page.

ruu returns your device into completely stock situation as you bought it
if you succeded with flashing a ruu then you have to flash a recovery, root the device and then choose to flash a custom rom

If you followed my directions exactly, then your best bet is updating to 2.14 hboot by RUUing to 3.18. You would need to S-OFF first if you are not already.
I guaranty there is nothing wrong with the 4.2.2 ROMs.
