Until today I was using HyperSensation 3.0, decided to try a new ROM and choose BADOSP V 1.1 to test. After back-up/wipe cache-dalvik/format all partitions/installing ROM/reboot. The phone booted normally until the lockscreen showed up, then, immediately shutted down. Powering on again was met with the same results.
I did the process of wiping, formating and installing again in case I forgot something, and again the same thing happened. I tried with another ROM, this time with ViperS 1.0.1, and I got the same thing, power off after the lockscreen shows for the first time. Before restoring the back up, I tried installing again HyperSensation 3.0 and it works... As a last resort I installed a gingerbread RUU to start totally stock, and again... power off in the same place...
I reinstalled 4ext, updated the firmware again to 3.33 and restored my back up to have a functional phone again, but I cannot understand why is this happening.
Can someone out there chime in and help me with this?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, I flashed super wipe but forgot about the kernel part. I'll try that now. With what Sense o Maniac your solution worked, Sense 3.6 or 4.0?
I tried with both Sense ROMs. Super Wipe/Install ROM with everything stock/Flash Kernel/Reboot but that didn't work either.

then the only culprit left is recovery ..
try reflashing it or ..update it to 1.0.0.5 RC (also can you check if you enabled smartflash (in 4EXT -> tools) ..coz that some times messes up for SOFF devices and make sure smartflash is disabled )

i encountered the problem of corrupted theme of 4ext. im not sure how it happened. maybe because i flashed CM10.1 then returned back to ViperS ICS? not sure bout that. its not really a problem but its quite annoying to press okay every time i boot into recovery. hehe

Does the rom boot? If so just use the 4ext app to flash a new theme. That should overwrite whatever is corrupted. If that doesn't work reflash the recovery entirely. You can do that from the app too.
If that doesnt work comeback with a more detailed description of exactly what you get.

There is an app for 4ext. Its available for download on the play store. Its an absolute must have app if you use 4ext recovery. It makes life so much easier.

Did you flash the gapps right after the rom flashing?
Try to install them separately.
First install the rom then let it boot, set some things up and let it idle for some couple of minutes.
Then reboot and install the gapps.
That's how I usually do.

Well I think the 4EXT Recovery Touch is just a much nicer experience. It's slick, simple, but does so much.
I flashed gapps directly after CM9 ROM with no problems at all. After a factory reset/wipe in 4EXT Recovery Touch. Haven't had a problem there. Don't know about CM10.

Do you use Superwipe ?
AOSP rom does not support Superwipe tool.
You shold go Wipe factory data / Wipe Cache menu to do dual wipe.
Hope that helps you

Just extract the boot image from the ROM zip file and place it in the adb folder on the OS partition then use fast boot commands to push the boot image to the device. it should work, worked for me.:good:

Same issue
I had the same issue with my sensation. I reflashed everything. I Flashed arhd 6.7. With beats and it works quite well now only issue so far is mobile Internet Speed. I'm reading through all the forums because usually every issue has been addressed and solved somewhere on this website. This is one heck of a Site. I'm going to try to do my part the best I can
I got the same issue that indresh88 said in the first post.
And i've also tried the fix that Echo237 suggested.
So.. i'm now with fw 3.33 with stock ICS rom and i've also flashed the root and tried wifix manager from the market.
Nothing is working. WiFi won't turn on, just remain with the message "Activating Wi-Fi..."
Any idea about what i can do?
try going back to stock again by using flashing a different ruu I have 3.32 and its with sense 3.6 it my work for you at this point its worth a try and keep it on stock for a while and monitor the WiFi but before you flash the ruu make sue you relock your device and then fastboot OEM writesecureflag 3

Hello Guys!
First: Sorry for my worst english, i've learned it only from movies and games.
I dont want to post a new thread, but i cant find the answer for MY question.
I want to install Android Revolution HD for my Sensation Z710e.
My phone is: HTC Sensation Z710e
Android version: 4.0.4
Baseband version: 11.76A.3504.00P_11.24A.3504.31_M
Kernel version: 3.0.42-MSM8660-Sense-Faux123-v009+
Cyanogenmod: CM 9.1.0-pyramid
CWM version: 5.0.2.0
I want to install ARHD, but i dont know, because i cant find any instruction, and i'm afraid that i will brick my phone.
I've found great instructions, but not for my CM9 or my kernel.
Or did i complicates too, and the install is easier than I thought?
So can i install ARHD with CM9 and these settings above, or i need to flash back the stock ICS and kernel? Or simply download ARHD files, and flash with CMW, and it works?
Please help me if you can, and i'm really sorry if someone already wrote that problem and got the correct answer.
Thank thank thank thank you!!!

S-ON or S-OFF?
also i suggest you to flash 4ext recovery.it is better than cwm
You could always flash an RUU and start from scratch. It will keep you s-off'ed if you already are, will put a matching radio and firmware. From there you can follow the instructions on the ARHD page.

don't tell me that you really start with ruu?
ruu returns your device into completely stock situation as you bought it
if you succeded with flashing a ruu then you have to flash a recovery, root the device and then choose to flash a custom rom

I believe this is a common issue either with certain versions of TWRP recovery, or when choosing to perform a fill wipe in the aroma installer.
Make sure you have a good recovery. (Read around for which TWRPs are affected.) Also do your wipe in recovery before starting the installer for the ROM, and dont choose to wipe in the installer.

I did do a wipe in recovery , and didn't choose wipe in aroma either.I have my own one s so I know what to do I think it was just the dodgy recovery anyway I'm back to stock now 're locked and used ruu, will try whole rooting process tomorrow . I knew there was problems with twrp but didn't take notice because it works on my device properly
Can anyone tell me which is the best twrp thanks
